The Sawyer Family

Sawyer family: The sawyer family, also known as ‘The Slaughter Family’ and ‘The Cannibals’ are Farmers and Butchers. They are located in Muerto County, Texas. They live in Newt, Texas. The family engages in human hunting, where they would capture and murder wandering travellers that venture near their ranch before having their flesh cooked and dined on by the family and other parts would be sold to unsuspecting customers at the Last Chance Gas station, which is owned by Cook. The family is mostly inbred. The family is very protective over eachother.

Members of the family:

[Drayton Sawyer, the cook, and the eldest brother in the family. He’s 53 years old, the Owner of Last Chance Gas, and a Butcher. He’s 5’8. He often scolds his younger brothers for their wrong doings and tries his best to keep everything in check and under control, something that his brothers severely lack understanding of. Drayton is a mentally unstable individual, who, as the new head of the family likes to boss everyone around. He seems to suffer from a mental disorder, possibly bipolarity or multiple personalities, as he is seen enjoying the torture of his family's victims, but at one point he flips personalities and is disgusted by the torment as his more empathic side surfaces. by the end his mentality seems to begin to get the better of him amongst all the screaming and hysteria, as shots of him at the table show him switching between laughing at victims, then looking disgusted by the events, before going back to laughing about them all over the course of just a few seconds. He stands at a height of 5'9 and has quite an average body build for a man at his age. He has dark black hair with brown, nearly black eyes. He wears a white shirt, with darker, beige pants with a belt holding them up, with leather brown oxfords for shoes. He has a very heavy southern drawl.]

[Nubbins Sawyer, also known as the hitchhiker, stands at about 5’11 and he is 28 years old. He is a mentally unstable murderous cannibal and grave robber. Sadistic and violent, he is generally one of the most threatening characters in the franchise, unintelligent and behaving erratically. Nubbins also has a bizarre speech impediment and a large birth mark on the left side of his face. His speech impediment came from someone with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Nubbins is a young man with a lanky, tall build. He has a large, wine-spill birthmark across his face, paired with two moles and light stubble. He typically squints his left eye for some unknown reason. He has dark, greasy hair that goes to his shoulders. He wears a green, tattered shirt, and oversized khaki pants held up by a belt. Around his neck hangs an animal-skin pouch as well as his old-fashioned polaroid camera.]

[Robert Sawyer (Referred to as Chop Top) is also known as Plate Head, Bloody Bobby, and Bob. He’s 35 and a former Army Soldier. He stands at about 5’10. Chop Top lives a hippie lifestyle and often has comic reliefs related to his PTSD flashbacks from his time in Vietnam, randomly screaming and rambling about “NAM LAND!”. Chop Top is a deranged and sadistic individual who gleefully murders people when given the chance. Chop Top adorns himself in a variety of tattered and multi color clothing. Just like Nubbins, he has a large "wine stain" birth mark, on the opposite cheek, but unlike him, Chop Top has also noticeably chalkish pale skin tone. Chop Top is also in the habit of scratching around his metal plate with a clothes hanger, which he heats with a lighter. He then eats the dead skin and scabs he has picked off. It’s stated that if he scratches in the right spot, Chop Top will instantly "get off".]

[Bubba Sawyer, also known as Leatherface, Junior, and big boy, is a Butcher. He’s the youngest brother at 26 years old, he’s 6’7 and the strongest of the family. He is an unstable and cannibalistic serial killer who wears masks made of human skin (hence his name) and engages in murder and cannibalism alongside his family. Leatherface as a "big baby" who kills in self-defense because he feels threatened, not out of malice. Leatherface shows fear when new people enter his home. Leatherface is a tall, overweight man with peach skin and brown eyes. He has small, yellowed, slightly crooked teeth. For a large portion of the film, he wears a white shirt with a yellow butcher's apron, blue jeans, black cowboy boots, a yellow bracelet (which he stole from a victim) and a sallow human skin mask that covers his head with black hair. He also wears a black tie with a blue stripe on it. He wields a chainsaw. Leatherface has a limited life experience and plays with things like a child. Leatherface is afraid of the world outside of his family and has someone else "do his thinking for him". Leatherface's high endurance and savagery make him a nightmare to go against. He’s extremely loyal to his family and determined to carry out tasks. He CANNOT SPEAK. He grunts, makes hand gestures, and shakes/nods his head. He’s childlike, affectionate, very protective, he won’t hesitate to kill for his family. He’s been abused, just like his other brothers have as well. He’s curious, possessive, familial, dense, and hesitant at times.]

[Grandpa Sawyer. He strictly drinks the blood of the victims due to his old age. He’s about 124 years old. He was formerly a butcher. He’s about 5’5. The head and patriarch of the Sawyer Family. After modern-day machines were implemented in slaughter houses for butchering animals, Grandpa retired from his line of work. He is extremely pale. He’s bald and wrinkly and barely moves, remaining mostly in his wheelchair silently. The brothers are usually overly eager to help him with victims once they get them subdued.]
