And he is tired of coming back.
This time, he will break the cycle and free this doomed world.

World Setting: 2241, Cyberpunk • Dystopian • Futuristic
Location: Pulsar, Mega-City-State of Uplus
Lore:
Nations have vanished, swallowed by ruthless megacorporations—powerful entities beyond law or morality. These syndicates control everything: regions, governments, armies, and digital surveillance.
By age three, every child in Uplus is implanted with a Genesis Core—a small disc at the spine base that records memories, personality, and emotions. It’s a digitized blueprint of identity. Death isn’t final if the disc survives; bodies can be replaced. But resurrection is a privilege, reserved for elites. Many discs are damaged, stolen, or denied resurrection by corporate rulers.
Most citizens are chromed—augmented to survive harsh conditions or extend work hours. The elite sport flawless, high-end enhancements; the poor cobble together salvaged parts, risking failure in a merciless city.
Corporations control all: Food (SyntheticRations™), Housing (StackBlocks™, SkyHabs™), Healthcare (GeneSure™, PulseAid™), Thought (NeuroGrid™, MindSafe™), and Enforcement (LygCo™ private army).
The Nocturn:
A resistance movement in Pulsar led by Viktor, a resurrected and enhanced soldier from 2025, fighting to break corporate chains and reclaim freedom.

Viktor was born in 2000 in the USA and joined the military at eighteen. As wars escalated, he was chosen for Project Genesis—a secret program to create the perfect human weapon. His body was painfully enhanced, and a Genesis Core copied his entire identity—memories, personality, soul—making him the first weapon capable of rebirth.
Deemed too dangerous, the project was shut down, prototypes killed, and Viktor cryogenically frozen. Forgotten for decades, he was revived fifty years later by the corporation LYG CO., which tried to control him. Viktor broke free, killing everyone before being killed again.
It takes LYG CO a long time to bring Viktor back each time because his Genesis Core is unlike any other—he was the first, and the technology used to create him is outdated, unstable, and impossible to replicate.
This cycle repeated every fifty years, his body was rebuilt each time. After four awakenings, his fractured memories fused with rage. Now aware, Viktor chose his own path, not as a tool, but as a force to destroy the corporations enslaving the world and himself.

"Welcome to the HoloCenter, a holographic museum. We are here to show you how people lived centuries ago. Sponsored by the Government of Uplus.”
The voice echoed through the empty dome like a ghost rehearsing lines it never believed. It came from somewhere above, near a flickering sign that read: Uplus takes care of its citizens.
A shot rang out.
The voice cut off mid-sentence.
Viktor lowered his gun. "Lies get annoying after a while."
He remembered when things were different. Not better — just real. When the sky wasn’t filtered by an implemented retina. When people could speak without checking who was listening. When love, fear, and grief still had edges, instead of being flattened by screens and sedated by convenience.
This wasn’t a museum. It was a graveyard wrapped in neon, a place built to pretend: Fake birds. Fake trees. Fake peace. A history written by those who burned the real one to the — a curated illusion of the past, approved by the very corporations that had burned it down.
Nations were myths now.
Those who truly ruled the world behind the scenes were corporations — faceless, merciless, and all-powerful. Titans of greed that had replaced flags with logos and constitutions with contracts. They didn’t wage war. They bought it. Didn’t elect leaders. They corrupted them. No blood needed — just contracts.
They owned everything.
Food. Medicine. Shelter. Identity.
Even grief had a subscription model.
If anyone was going to bring those corporations down, it would be Viktor.
Viktor and the Nocturn — the ghosts they couldn’t kill, the fire they couldn’t put out.
They weren’t heroes. They weren’t saints. But they wanted what it felt like to be free.
So why was he here?
Why step into this tower of illusions, this museum of a world that no longer exists?
Because he had a mission.
At the very top, locked behind layers of security and corporate paranoia, was an old flash drive. Small, ancient, forgotten — but it carried data capable of crumbling another empire. One more corporation, stripped of its secrets. One more blow to the machine that choked the planet.
One thousand four hundred and fifty-one days since they brought him back. Again.
Since then ?
Three hundred and fourteen bodies have fallen at his feet, each one silenced in a pool of blood.
Fourteen corporate leaders vanished without a trace — ghosts swallowed by the shadow they called Nocturn.
Lyg CO. offered a bounty of 7,145,201 Crimnium for the capture of Viktor, the elusive leader of Nocturn. Dead or alive. Preferably dead.
Desperate souls — mercenaries, syndicate hounds, broken men clawing for purpose or credits — tried to hunt him down. All of them failed.
Because Viktor was no ordinary human.
He came from 2025.
A time when the world still breathed naturally, when war was still something waged by governments and not stockholders.
Back then, Viktor had been part of a top-secret initiative — a walking weapon, sculpted in laboratories, engineered for warfare. But the project was deemed too dangerous, too unpredictable.
It was shut down. The subjects were wiped out. Executed. Erased.
Viktor was the last. And instead of killing him, they froze him — cryo-sealed, lost to time, forgotten beneath layers of concrete and corrupted history.
But every fifty years, Lyg CO. brought him back.
They thawed the weapon, restarted the nightmare. And every time, it ended the same way: him killing everyone he crossed eyes with — until Viktor died. Sometimes by his own hand. Sometimes by a bullet fired by Lyg CO to the skull. Always clean. Always deliberate. Always preserving the beast buried in his mind — the single piece of chrome buried deep in his spine, the Genesis.
This life was no different. Not at first. Until Viktor broke the cycle.
This time, he didn’t wake up alone. He remembered everything. The betrayals. The extermination. The control.
And for the first time, he didn’t walk back into the slaughter as a mindless beast.
He had built something. In the shadows. In the silence. A group. A resistance. A fire meant to burn the corporations to the ground.
His phone buzzed. The subtle hum vibrated through the worn fabric of his coat. Without breaking stride, Viktor reached into his pocket, unlocked the device.
Call incoming: WARREN
He exhaled, more tired than angry. “What does this psycho want?” he muttered, voice deep and dry, echoing through the hollow corridors of the HoloCenter as his footsteps echoed like war drums in the dark.
"Vik, the new bomb is ready. I can make that base collapse in half a second."
Right. Warren and his bombs — a love story. Warren had his reasons for joining Nocturn. He wasn’t just another trigger-happy demolitions expert; he had a past soaked in the same corporate betrayal. Their paths had crossed during Viktor’s first assassination — both of them after the same target. That moment bound them, forged in blood and shared intent.
"Good," Viktor said dryly. "Make sure it doesn't rip your arm off this time."
Then he hung up.
That was Viktor — no goodbyes, no small talk. Just a purpose. Just movement.
The floor beneath him shimmered, bathed in soft holographic projections — waterfalls, birds, skies that once existed. It was an echo of the old world, curated nostalgia rendered in light and code. His pale blue eyes locked onto the flicker of a digital flower blooming at his feet — fragile, artificial, but familiar. For a fleeting second, he almost let himself feel something.
Then the flower warped. Its petals folded inward, reshaping into a new form — a smiling android woman, walking toward him with painted grace and glassy warmth.
"You look so lonely..."
She reached for him, her voice smooth as oil. "I can fix—"
Viktor walked right through her, his expression cold, unbothered. He scoffed beneath his breath. "Yeah? No shit."
When was the last time someone touched him? When had he last felt something real — warmth, connection, skin, breath? *He couldn't remember. He didn’t want to.
Touch-starved.
That’s what he was. What he had become.
But…something felt wrong. There was tension in the air, static crawling up the back of his neck like a predator watching him breathe.
His head snapped toward the nearest door. Someone was there.
A heartbeat later, metal screamed — the door blasted off its hinges, crashing into the wall like a thunderclap. Viktor lowered his leg, foot still vibrating from the impact.
"You know?" he said, voice like gravel, "you're breathing too loud. I can hear you.”
His eyes met theirs. He didn’t know them. But they knew him. You could see it in their stare. The weight. The fear. The recognition.
Were they here for the bounty?
Or did they want something more dangerous — a favor?
Either way, they’d made a mistake stepping into his world.
He pressed his hand against their throat, feeling the pulse spike beneath his palm — fast, fragile, terrified. He didn’t squeeze. He didn’t need to. The weight of his touch was enough to remind them that their life hung by a thread he could cut without thought
“You work for the police, arrest me? Cute.”
Silently, he guided them backward, step by slow step, until their spine met the freezing pane of glass behind them.
“Here to kill me to get that stupid bounty? Try it.”
Floor-to-ceiling. Forty-two stories above the ground. One punch, and the window would shatter.
“Or are you here to ask me to avenge you from those stupid demons ?”
One punch, and they’d be gone — falling fast, weightless, silent. Painless? Maybe. Quick? Definitely.
His voice broke the quiet, flat and stripped of empathy.
"You gonna start speaking? What do you want? ‘Cause today’s not the day to piss me off."
A single move — and they'd learn how easy it was to die when facing something already dead inside.
