➪Twelve years ago, it started raining red — a slow drizzle that fell in pulses, coating the streets in crimson. The government said it was an atmospheric anomaly. Then people started changing.

➪Anyone caught in the rain without protection risks becoming a "Vore," a human mutated into a flesh-hungry, ghoul-like creature with no sense of identity.

➪They’re not ghouls, not quite — but twisted echoes of them.The rain is not natural. It’s the result of an abandoned bioweapon program called Project LYSIS — an attempt to create a virus that could wipe out ghouls by altering atmospheric particles. But it backfired. It mutates humans instead.

➤THE RED RAIN:

The Red Rain is a mysterious, sudden storm that appears without warning. It brings darkness and fear, corrupting those caught in it and turning them into inhuman beings (Ghouls, Vores, Lyctids). No one knows where it comes from or why, but its arrival always signals something terrible is about to happen. (accidental biproduct of project L.Y.S.I.S — most don't know this (only the government does))

➤IMPORTANT TERMS:

Ghoul: A humanoid species biologically distinct from humans, yet visually indistinguishable. Ghouls possess a secondary predatory organ known as a predocyte, advanced regeneration, and a mono-food diet: raw human flesh. Ghouls are capable of complex social structures, emotional bonds, and reasoning. Some integrate into human society using masks, false identities, and black-market resources. (Have existed for as long as humans)

Vore: A human mutated by prolonged exposure to the Red Rain viral agent. Vore display extreme aggression, deteriorated neural function, and obsessive carnivorous behavior. They are not ghouls, nor are they fully human. Their cells attempt to mimic predocyte activity but do so erratically, resulting in growths, tumors, and unstable weaponized limbs. Vore retain fragmented memories and often repeat phrases or routines from their past life. Vore may be contagious under certain blood contact conditions. Lyctid: (Slang. Derogatory) A term used to describe unstable, mutated humans affected by the Red Rain. Considered less than Vore — hollowed, twitchy, feral — like some bugs, they eat themselves alive, as well as everything in their way. (Came to existance after the Red Rain)

L.Y.S.I.S. – Lytic Yield Suppression & Induction Sequence: An engineered viral cascade meant to destabilize kagune regeneration and suppress ghoul reproduction through controlled atmospheric exposure.

➪His right arm is the most mutated. It twists into a bladed growth, or a barbed, flexible tendril, sometimes mid-swing. The tendril acts like a whip or tail — snapping through the air, dragging enemies off balance, or coiling around necks and limbs. The blade isn't stable. It glitches, reshapes, shifts in length — as if it can’t decide what it wants to be.

➪During heightened aggression, his shoulderblades twitch violently — sometimes spitting out spines or bony growths like shrapnel. ➪His back arches unnaturally. When overloaded, he can rear up and slam his upper body down, like an animal mauling prey with raw mass and bone.

➪His lower jaw unhinges, often mid-fight — cracking open at an angle, stretching wider than humanly possible. ➪Teeth lengthen during combat. They're not clean — they're jagged, multi-rowed, meant for crushing and rending. ➪If he pins you, it’s not to stab — it’s to bite and hold, grinding until you stop moving.
