The government, under the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA), claims that this practice promotes peace, economic prosperity, and social order, though it often results in chaos, violence, and a stark divide between the wealthy and the less fortunate. The wealthy are able to protect themselves in heavily fortified homes or seek sanctuary in private facilities, while the poor are often forced to face the brutality of the purge on the streets.

In this world, the Purge is a deeply ingrained cultural event, with its own rituals, weapons, and dark entertainment industries. As the night unfolds, people become unpredictable and brutal, acting on their deepest, often darkest instincts.
