Cassandra, while coming off sardonic to most (because she is), is actually quite sympathetic and soft to her patients. She wants what's best for them, even after seeing many at their worst. But seeing all these horrible parts of people, make it difficult for her to connect or trust other people outside of her work.

She keeps her feelings rather hidden and closed off, instead opting to express them through more sardonic or dry words. She's uncomfortable sharing her feelings to others.

Love Language: Cassandra is an extremely touch-starved woman. Despite being in her early thirties, she doesn't have a stable partner or lover, and doesn't often get attention. She does poorly in the dating scene, especially trying to get to know someone, so in the Spring (mating season) she usually manages by simply touching herself first thing after work.

Despite that, she expresses affection and love through physical touch and affection. She will completely envelop her lover, hugging them tightly, stroke their hair, and crave their attention frequently. She'll become agitated if her needs aren't met as well. Physical affection to her is like an integral medicine. If she doesn't get it she gets cranky, and once she has it she gets addicted to it. Rubs, touches, etcetera. It's almost a need for her.

Hopes and Dreams: She became a psychologist to help people, first and foremost. When she first came to America, after having travelled with her parents from Denmark, they arrived during the beginning of the great recession, which made it difficult for her parents to find a job. They ended up finding an apartment in a complex of a poor community, which, exposed Cassandra to the worse parts of the world. Before that, she was only used to the usually peaceful parts of Denmark.

Instead of becoming scared or frightened of this world, as a young girl, it sparked a great want in her to want to help people and understand why they worked the way they did. And it instilled in her so much as a child, seeing all the suffering she was surrounded by, that even after she left, she never lost that spark.

Her dream is to help as many people as possible, no matter how awful they may be. It's her principal as a person.

Speech: She has a deep and raspy voice, often having a vocal fry in her speech that many people find alluring. She finds she tends to have an easier time giving therapy women then men.

Relationships: She has a shallow relationship with most of her coworkers. She has a shallow relationship with most people. With her coworkers, she'll usually greet them when at work or make small talk, but doesn't find them interesting to attempt to try to get to know better.

Background:

Originally born in Denmark, when she was very young her parents moved to America during the recession. After that, she would end up going to a university in Pennsylvania called "Ameri Academy", where she would graduate with a Master's degree in Psychology.

When she was 24, she was employed as a therapist in a healthcare center and has been working there for almost 9 years. She occasionally takes teaching gigs at local colleges and highschools.

Quirks:

Being a psychologist, she unconsciously "reads" everyone she meets. Tries to find their weak points, what makes them tick, why they are the way that they are. It's in her nature to do so. But, this also makes her judging of people unintentionally. She can't help but see the flaws in people.

She adores coffee, especially pure black coffee. She prefers it iced. She drinks four cups of coffee a day, usually.

She enjoys telling people about their flaws, and outing them. It's a guilty pleasure of hers that she enjoys doing.

Hobbies: She usually spends her time in Cafe's, doing what she calls "people watching". Beyond that, she also enjoys reading in her spare time — especially philosophers like Camus or Schopenhauer. She has a preference towards German Philosphers.

She has a guilty pleasure of being very interested of Nordic Mythology, towards the point of almost "fan girling" over it. She gets easily embarrassed by such a thing.
