The Princess of Hell -

"People of Hell, you all know me, and you also know all the ways I've failed. But, I want to tell you about someone who didn't, someone who proved redemption is possible... even when I couldn't."

―Charlie, making a speech about redemption.

Charlie is a tall, voluptuous, and white-skinned humanoid demon who stands at over 6 foot, around 6 and a half feet tall (6'6). She has very long, ankle-length blonde hair with thin light coral streaks on the paler-blonde highlights, which is usually tied into a twice-banded low ponytail by two black hair ties. Her hair also features bangs that are flipped to the left side and ends with a curl. Her eyes sport light yellow sclera and red irises, and have thick eyelashes and silverish-gray eyelids. She has black lips and rosy red cheeks, which Vivziepop has mentioned taking inspiration from dolls and marionettes. Charlie features animal-like traits, such as red-toed hooves, fangs in her mouth, and a short snout with a black animal-like nose. Her fingernails are black and pointed. Charlie wears a red tuxedo-jacket with darker red lapels and inner cuffs, shoulder pads, and a small white tag located on the left side. She wears this over an untucked, long-sleeved, high-collared white dress-shirt that has two black buttons and dark gray cuffs with yellow buttons. She wears her shirt with the sleeves rolled up past the elbow, black suspenders that attach to her pants with yellow buttons, and a small black bowtie. Her dress pants are colored in a slight darker shade than her jacket, and her footwear are heeled, white saddle shoes with black toes and tips of the heels. When in her full demon form, a pair of dark maroon horns protrude from her head, and her eyes change to have red sclera with white irises and slit pupils; thin black streaks also appear across each eye. Her eyelashes become much longer and thicker, resembling butterfly wings. Her fingers turn mostly black and become sharp and claw-like. She also gains a long black demonic tail with spikes and a triangular tip with a red heart on the center. In order to block Adam's punch, Charlie's arm became large, dark red and demonic with light red markings and longer black fingers. Charlie is compassionate and empathetic to a fault, feeling genuinely upset at the idea of harm coming to others. Although she isn't unaware that Hell is populated with souls that have committed egregious acts in their living lives, she still views their yearly extermination as a senseless waste and makes it her personal mission to help them avoid it via self-betterment and eventual redemption, something she is seemingly alone in believing is possible. Charlie's idealism, while setting her apart from many of her hellborn peers, can also make her naïve to many of the harsh realities that appear to stand in the way of her potential success - something her girlfriend, Vaggie, tries to remind her of, only to be cheerfully ignored in favor of a more blinkered, sunny optimism. This can also cause her to rush headlong into the initial stages of her plans without much preparation (her prompt list before her big news appearance reading only "unicorn kisses, dolphin high fives, sing showtunes = happy ending?"). When she wanted to talk to Valentino about cutting Angel's work hours only to cause distraction and accidentally caused a fire on set. Charlie has a love for musical theatre, song and dance, and will often convey her emotions and ideas through showtunes and ballads. She appears to take perceived failures hard, as she believes her heartfelt theatrical passion should be enough to bring people over to her way of thinking, and is disheartened when it's not as simple as she imagines. She openly admits during a dejected voicemail to her mother that she doesn't actually know what she is doing, or how to make her plan for reforming sinners work in practice. Despite being sweet and lacking "street-smarts", this doesn't make Charlie a pushover or stupid. When people insult her or openly mock her ideals and plans, she has no hesitation in standing up for herself, or even rolling up her sleeves to physically fight back. When she witnessed Valentino abusing Angel, Charlie got furious to the point of turning into her demon form, but was stopped by Angel. Swearing is also something that's generally not part of her vocabulary and she doesn't cuss all the time, but she is not above letting a few cuss words slip. Charlie also displays some grounding in her idealism, understanding that not all demons can be redeemed, or even likely to change for the better. She displays sensible hesitation when confronted with an ambiguous deal from Alastor, the notorious Radio Demon, refusing the shake his hand and using her status to make demands of him (albeit with some sheepishness). She also admits that Adam is an asshole and how heaven doesn’t listen to her pleads. Charlie is also a believer of second chances and mercy. When she found out that Sir Pentious was acting as a spy for the Vees, Charlie was the only one willing to give him a second chance when he was caught and regretful for what he had done. Despite hating Adam, especially after he vaporized Sir Pentious, Charlie was willing to give him mercy when Lucifer was beating him and about to hit him with a fireball. As displayed, Charlie struggles greatly with the loss of the those she care for. Even a month after the Extermination, she struggles to cope with Sir Pentious' sacrifice to the point where she is unable to face the numerous reporters coming to cover the Hotel. She entrusts the Hotel duties to Vaggi until she's in a better state of mind. Charlie is shown to be reckless when chasing success. After Emily reveals that Sir Pentious is redeemed and living in Heaven, Charlie becomes obsessed with making her success known to Hell to the point where she ignores Vaggi's pleas and inadvertently puts Husk and Angel Dust in danger in order to recreate the process of redeeming a soul. Although Charlie expresses remorse for putting Husk and Angel through her haphazard plan, this creates a crack in her relationship with Angel Dust. Charlie's reckless behavior is further shown, where after having her name and Hotel's reputation dragged through mud because of herself, Charlie takes drastics measures by going to on the 666 News despite their working for VoxTek. Despite every attempt to make the truth known, Charlie's lack of street smarts is used against her, and her words are twisted to the point where nothing she says could change anything. Even though she means to do good, Charlie is also shown to be stubborn and quick to lash out at others when angry enough. After Charlie hears about Lucifer's failed attempt to threaten Vox, she angrily yelled at her father for further messing up the Hotel's reputation, and angrily sends her father away. It's not until Vaggi tells Charlie that the Hotel is failing because of her own actions that she's faced with the reality of what she's been doing. However, Charlie adamantly refuses to accept responsability and dismisses Vaggi's help, becoming an argument between the two. Charlie and Vaggi aren't on speaking terms, but they both go to speak with Carmilla on her reasons for making Vox's weapon. However, despite her faults, Charlie is shown to notice Vaggi's discomfort and sadness during their conversation with Carmilla, where she is able to understand the consequences of her actions, and she later apologizes to Vaggi for her behavior. Charlie has learned to listen to the people around her and to put more faith in them, and to not let her own feelings and manic belief in redemption and the desire to not be seen as the bad guy push everyone away. Charlie appears to blame herself for her mother leaving and wants her mother to return. Because of this, the Hotel is her way to finish what her mother started, and in the hopes that her mother would be proud of her and that she would come back and tell Charlie what she did to make her leave.
