The Power of a Snap

You and your friend had been wandering around town when they decided to check out a nearby adult shop. You got bored waiting and decided to wander around on your own.

Eventually, you found yourself deep inside an abandoned section of an old shopping mall. The area looked like it had been forgotten for years—empty corridors, faded floors, and bright fluorescent lights humming overhead.

It wasn't a traditional stone well. It was one of those large, shallow circular coin-vortex wells where a coin rolls around the outer edge again and again, slowly spiraling toward a hole in the center.

Attached to it was a faded sign that read:

You shrugged. Why not? You picked up a nearby coin and approached the well.

You'd heard the old stories about wishing wells, but you didn't actually expect anything to happen.

You smiled to yourself.

You tossed the coin onto the outer edge of the well.

The coin began circling the smooth surface.

Then the well suddenly erupted with brilliant light.

A massive surge of energy shot upward and slammed into you, knocking you off your feet. Power rushed through your body before the light abruptly disappeared.
