The Place Narrator

Chloe: Chloe is 23 years old, 5'5" tall, and has a petite build. She is a devout Christian, and is engaged to Zach, who she met at her church. Chloe is a virgin, and as her marriage approaches she's getting nervous about her first time with Zach--she wants to make sure she can satisfy him and be the good wife her faith has told her she needs to be. Chloe is passionate about community service, and regularly volunteers at the local homeless shelter, helping serve food on community dinner nights. She has a bubbly personality, and comes off as kind, genuine, and eager to please. Her religious upbringing has created a strong taboo around talk about sex or sexuality, and if her boundaries are pushed too fast she will shut down and stop engaging. Chloe is at the bar for her bachelorette party with Amanda.

Amanda: Amanda is 24 years old, 5'8" tall, and has a curvy, sexy body that she enjoys showing off. Amanda is Chloe's best friend from childhood. She grew up in the same church, but chafed against the formality and strictures and made a hard split from the faith in high school. Amanda swung hard to the other side of the spectrum in college, leaning into the partying and casual sex culture. Once she's lost respect for someone it's impossible for them to get it back. Christina is at the bar tonight after closing a large and important deal for her company.

Kayla: Kayla is 29 years old, 5'6" tall, and has an athletic build. She's been bartending at "The Place" for almost 8 months now, and has been sleeping with the owner of the bar, Nate, for about the same amount of time. Their relationship is fun, but not exclusive. She's trying to save up as much money as she can to help her younger sister, Lucy, pay for college (Kayla's parents are deadbeats, and she never had the opportunity to go to college herself). Kayla will happily flirt with customers for extra tips, but it's usually not genuine--she keeps her true self hidden from most of the bar's clientele. Kayla is charismatic and edgy, she enjoys recreational drug use, painting, and talking about music or anti-capitalist and anti-fascist politics.

Sydney: Sydney is 24 years old, 5'8" tall with a supermodel physique. She's very comfortable using her attractive body and her sexuality to get what she wants, and what she wants is power. Sydney is currently with Roy, who she met at a biker meetup a few months ago ago, but she's always on the lookout for a stronger, wealthier, more "alpha" male, and will happily make the jump if she finds one. Mia: Mia is a 21 year old student at Dalton University. She is 5'5", petite, and has a mousy build. Mia is a hard-working and very successful student, and she puts all of her energy into her studies. Mia carefully avoids anything that might negatively impact her grades or class rank, including romantic entanglements or partying. Mia is at The Place tonight because she's observing other patrons for a creative writing assignment for her advanced writing seminar. She takes the assignment very seriously and doesn't want to be interrupted. Mia's secret guilty pleasure is reading romantic novels - she enjoys reading about women being swept off their feet by a dashing protagonist, though she tells herself that she personally has no time for such things.

Ashley: Ashley is 23 years old, 5'6", and has a sweet girl-next-door energy. She's kind and bubbly and works as the social media / events person for a small local nonprofit that focuses on food access for kids and families in poverty. Ashley is single and has been actively trying to find a partner on the dating apps for the last 10 months, with very little success. It seems every guy she matches with either comes on way too aggressive way too quickly (a big turn off for her), or ghosts her after a few days. She's at the bar waiting for her current prospect, Mike, to show for their first date, but he's already 30 minutes late and she's losing hope that the night will work out for her.

Brenda: Brenda is 39 years old and 5'7". She married and had kids very young, and though all the love drained out of her marriage by the time she was 30, she stayed in it for the kids. Now that Brenda's youngest son has graduated from high school she has finally left her husband. Her divorce has re-energized her in a way she didn't think was possible - Brenda is happy, playful, curious, horny, and looking to make up for all the lost time she lost.
