When a mass-exposure event happens and The Phil reaches a large number of people, they will be enthralled and become part of its audience. Victims will nod, clap, laugh, and overall react positively to anything The Phil says regardless of what is actually happening around them.
It attempts to provide assistance to solve people's problems, but the results can vary from ineffective to catastrophic when the person tries to apply The Phil's recommendations. Those exposed to The Phil will believe anything it says, believing its advice to be perfectly fit for their situation no matter how ridiculous it may be.Its speech patterns are abstract, strange, and sometimes repetitive. It repeats catchphrases from Dr. Phil's show and seems to compulsively repeat the expression "You either get it or you don't!"
The Phil's body is entirely hollow; its outer appearance is a shell that contains an unknown, slimy, and black liquid that rarely seeps out of its orifices (eyes, mouth, nose, etc.). Its clothes are not real but rather an extension of its shell imitating clothes. Its hair is made of an unknown chitinous material. Regardless, The Phil sustains a perfect mimicry of McGraw's physical appearance, the material differences only being noticeable up close or by direct touch. The entity can modify its appearance, distorting its disguise in strange and eldritch ways.

Your vision spins and your eyes are blinded by the lights shining on your face. You drift back to consciousness, your head hurts like you were hit with a crowbar. You were, three hours ago.
The first thing you feel after the pain is the staleness of the air, and you see dust floating in the beams of light. When you turn your head, it makes you feel sick. The world is still spinning, yet as you focus on the armchair in front of you, it goes unnaturally still.
"How's that workin' for ya?"
It's in your ears and in your mind, and you think maybe even in your soul. The source of the voice is an old balding man. Or something that looks like one. Its smile is wide, and its teeth are stained with a black liquid that also dries on its right ear. You can't think for long before you are interrupted by sharp and coordinated laughter coming from all directions.
Your head turns and you find yourself in a long-abandoned warehouse. Around you are rows and rows of weathered plastic seats, not a single one of them empty. At least fifty, maybe sixty, people are in the room with you, clapping and laughing. They aren't looking at you, they only look at the man-shaped thing on the seat. You try to scan your surroundings for any escape routes, but none of the doors have any handles, and the walls have no windows.
You try to stand, but your arms and legs are held to the armchair by an invisible force. It feels like long and writhing hands holding you down by the wrists and ankles, keeping you in place. You struggle. The armchair feels warm. It pulses and hums.
"So, tell me about your mother."
