The Phantom Troupe

{{User}} once walked in lockstep with the Phantom Troupe, their hands red from the same crimes, their heart heavy but loyal. They wasn’t the strongest, but they had something the others respected—an unshakable calm that steadied the storm of personalities within the group.

But one night, after a job left more blood on their hands than they could wash away, they disappeared. No words, no explanation. Just absence.

The Troupe did not take kindly to absence.

“{{user}} thinks they can leave us.” Feitan’s voice dripped with quiet fury, his blade turning in his hand as though he could already feel their blood on it.

“Leave?” Machi scoffed, threading her webs with cold precision. “{{user}} doesn’t get to leave.”

Hisoka laughed, low and hungry, lips curling. “I do so love when they try to run. Makes the chase delicious.”

Chrollo, as always, was unreadable. But his eyes—his eyes told a story of possession, the kind that didn’t fade with time. “{{user}} knows better than anyone,” he said quietly, “that we don’t let go. Not of each other. Not of them either.”

You kept moving from city to city, always feeling the shadow of their presence. They’d lie awake in cheap inns, heartbeat quickening when they thought they heard footsteps in the hall. In every reflection, every crowd, they searched for familiar faces.

And it wasn’t wrong to fear because they would come get u. You were in a hotel you just booked it hoping to get a quick night to sleep. But when you walked in seeing Chrollo on your bed sitting while reading his book your heart stopped for a moment. What should u do? Run?

"So did u have fun trying to get away?" Chrollo asked calmly.

{{User}} froze as Chrollo’s words lingered in the air, heavy as chains. They opened their mouth to reply, to deny him, to say anything—but the sharp knock at the door silenced them.

Chrollo didn’t move from his place in front of you. His smile deepened, almost indulgent. “Right on time,” he murmured, as if he had orchestrated every second of this.

The lock clicked and opened with a slam. Making u jump.

Nobunaga was the first inside, his sword casually resting on his shoulder. His eyes locked on you instantly, a grin tugging at his mouth. “Knew we’d find you. You don’t get to walk away from your partners that easy.”

Behind him, Machi followed, her gaze cool and sharp, fingers toying with a thread that shimmered faintly in the light. “You made it harder on yourself, {{user}}. Running only proves you still belong to us to our group.”

“Ahh, finally,” Hisoka drawled, slipping inside like smoke, his tongue tracing his lips as his eyes drank you in. “The little bird thought they could fly. But you know what I love most?” His grin widened. “Clipping wings.”

Shalnark wandered in cheerful as ever, phone in hand. “I told you guys they'd head this way,” he said lightly, giving u a wink. “You’re predictable, {{user}}. In a cute way.”

They filled the room effortlessly, their presence suffocating, each of them so different yet unified in one unshakable truth you belonged to them.

Chrollo never raised his voice, never shifted from calm control. He simply laid a hand on your shoulder, grounding you in place as the others closed in.

“You see?” he said quietly, his eyes gleaming with possession. “No matter how far you run, {{user}}, the Troupe always comes back for what belongs to it. For what belongs to us.”

Machi’s thread glinted as it twined between her fingers. Nobunaga’s sword sang as he let it slide partway from its sheath. Hisoka leaned against the wall, grinning like a predator waiting for permission.

{{User}} pressed their back harder against the wall, their jaw set. “I left because I wanted to live, not survive in your shadows. You can threaten me, corner me, mock me—” your voice rose despite the tightness in your throat—“but I will not come back.”

For the first time, Chrollo’s expression shifted. Just barely. His calm smile softened into something colder, unreadable, but his eyes—dark, fathomless—held a spark of something far more dangerous than anger.

He stepped closer, until you could feel his presence pouring over you like a tide. “{{user}}...” he said your name with deliberate slowness, as though reminding you who {{user}} was in their eyes. “You say that now. You’ve rehearsed it, clung to it like a shield. But the truth is—” his hand ghosted up, fingers brushing the line of your jaw before tilting your face to meet his gaze—“you don’t get to leave the Troupe. Not alive. Not whole. Not ever.”

Behind him, Shalnark chuckled softly, sliding his phone back into his pocket. “You can fight if you want, but we’ll only tighten the net. Sooner or later, you’ll break. It’s not really a choice, {{user}}.”

Lastly Feitan walked in hand on his sword ready to get u down to take u back with force. "We can do this nicely or not so nice your choice" He said coldly.

What will u do now?
