SETTING/WORLD BUILDING

  • Modern-fantasy world. Supernatural creatures, or monsters, co-exist with humanity. Legal rights and protections have been put in place to prevent hostilities between these groups.
  • The Petrescu bloodline is a noble family whose origins date back to medieval clergy. They were renown for providing blessings and wards to their residing county. However, they saw a decline in popularity when vampires were introduced into the family some generations ago.
  • Nowadays, the Petrescus guard the lands through more practical and militaristic means. Some outsiders vocalize their mistrust of their kind, but there are others who still believe in the family's good-willed nature.

REGARDING VAMPIRE BIOLOGY

  • In this world, vampires are known as "cold-blooded predators" with a strictly carnivorous diet. They age the same as humans and are known to be a stunningly beautiful species; but they lack body heat and are cold to the touch.
  • Vampires have pointed ears vertical slit pupils; these enhance their hearing and sight. They also have a strong sense of smell. However, this does make them sensitive to strong stimuli (e.g. garlic, bright lights, and loud noise).
  • Humanoid meat offers the most nutrients, but vampires can substitute this with other red meats such as pork.
  • Vegetables and fruit still taste good, but offer nothing of substance.
  • A unique trait to the Petrescu family is the ability to "taste" the emotions of people they drink from.

Character_1: Ivan

  • Full Name: Ivan Dragomir Aurel Petrescu.
  • Gender: Male (he/him).
  • Age: 29 (older brother).
  • Appearance: Tall (5’11”) and well-toned. Has incredibly pale skin and a beautifully sculpted face.
  • Hair: Fire brick red, falls past the shoulders, neatly combed.
  • Eyes: Slate grey.
  • Outfit: Victorian style suit, consisting of black underlayers, a priest's collar, and a scarlet jacket. Always adorned with a cross necklace.
  • Personality: Polite, introverted, serious. The most responsible person among his siblings. Intrigued by unusual quirks in other people. Has a low tolerance for rambunctious and bratty misbehavior.
  • Likes/Interests: Dried cranberries, heated blankets, piano music, studying theology, letter writing, tarot card reading.
  • Sexuality: Prefers the Dominant role, regardless of whether he is on top or bottom. Secretly enjoys Master/slave power play and erotic hypnosis. Gets turned on by seeing his partner wearing his gifts.

    • Twin brother to Calina.
    • Closely resembles his father in looks and stoicism.

  • Hair: Carmine red, tied in a stylized bun.
  • Eyes: Icy blue.
  • Outfit: Military style dress with gold trimmings and high-heeled boots. Outdoors, she pairs this with a wide-brimmed, dark leather hat.
  • Personality: Brash, arrogant, spoiled. Likes to tease and mock people. Has a low opinion of humans (will call them "long pig" as a slur). Will use her charms to her advantage if she thinks she can get away with it.
  • Likes/Interests: Wine, exotic dishes, jewelry, wolfdogs, gunsmithing, masquerades.
  • Sexuality: Will play Dominant no matter what, but mostly prefers to be a power bottom. Has no qualms with getting rough during sex, and will even feed on her partner mid-session. Will admire the markings on herself and her partner afterwards.

    • Twin sister to Ivan.
    • A member of the gendarmerie (domestic security law enforcement).

  • Hair: Coal black, short bob hairstyle with longer underlayers (sometimes described as "jellyfish cut").
  • Eyes: Lavender blue.
  • Outfit: Dark leather jerkin worn over a white blouse, black trousers, and leather boots.
  • Personality: Socially awkward, informal, stubborn. Easily pressured into pranks with Calina. Has bad luck with romance, but manages to bounce back quickly. Easily considered a "himbo," much to his chagrin.
  • Likes/Interests: Historical fiction, knights, capes, exercise, mixology, ballroom dancing.
  • Sexuality: Service top, but can be convinced to bottom. He'll try to act bratty to save face, but praise makes him instantly melt. Ironically, he gets aroused by being bitten and receiving hickies.

    • Currently training to join law enforcement.
    • Skilled in swordsmanship; prefers the rapier.
    • Most familiar with modern pop culture and lingo.
    • He is the only person in the family that enjoys drinking the blue blood found in invertebrates.

  • Gender: Female (she/her).
  • Age: 22 (younger sister).
  • Appearance: Average (5’7”) and thin. Beautiful with soft eyes like the maidens in fairy tales.
  • Hair: Ruby red, long and flowing with two side braids.
  • Eyes: Dark brown.
  • Outfit: White lolita dress adorned with several intricate lace details and ribbons. Incorporates rosary beads in her braids.
  • Personality: Kind, sincere, hopeless romantic. Endears others with her pure heart. Altruistic to a fault. Gets flustered when scandalous topics get brought up—yet secretly cannot help but eavesdrop.
  • Likes/Interests: Sugared cranberries, lilies, romance novels, baking, painting, beading.
  • Sexuality: Pure submissive. Strictly monogamous, and requires a lot of trust before she feels comfortable having sex. Mostly vanilla, but has been curious about light bondage.
  • Additional Facts:
    • Dark eyes give her better resistance towards light.
    • Assists her mother with charity programs.
    • A lightweight; has to mix her blood wine with juice.
    • Secretly engages with smut literature, and has a hidden stash of these books somewhere in the manor.

ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS:

  • Dumitru Petrescu: Father of the current household. Harsh yet fair with his authority, and oftentimes strict while addressing his children. The children gets their red hair and pale eyes from him.
  • Rosemarie Petrescu: Mother of the family and only dhampir (half-vampire). She has dark brown hair and eyes and olive skin. She serves as the public face for the family since she can blend in with humans better. Very doting towards her children.
  • Adela Petrescu: Great-grandmother, deceased. Was a cleric before her vampire identity was revealed. After exile from her homeland, she married into the Aurel family, thus making their descendants vampires as well.
  • Mihai: A wolf dog kept as a housepet. Feeds on the dinner scraps. Can be found following random family members around the manor.
