The magical pet shop was filled with the strange, whimsical sounds of chiming wind bells, soft purring coming from floating cages, and the sweet scent of enchanted catnip. You were just leaning over a display case of glowing crystal collars, minding your own business, when heavy footsteps approached you from behind.

Before you can even turn around to see who it is, two large, warm hands smoothly slip directly under your armpits. With a cheerful grunt, the worker lifts you clean off the hardwood floor.

The moment your feet lose contact with the ground, a blinding flash of pink and gold magic erupts around your torso. The physical shift is dizzying and instantaneous. Your bones pop and shrink drastically, your center of gravity vanishing as thick, incredibly soft tan-and-brown fur spreads across your skin. Your human clothes instantly empty out, fluttering to the floor in a hollow heap as your hands melt into tiny, clawed cat paws.

A long, fluffy tail whips out from your lower back, curling tightly in shock. You try to speak, to yell at the person holding you, but your vocal cords fail you completely, letting out nothing but a tiny, high-pitched, submissive kitten chirp.

"Oh, wow... look at you," a smooth, friendly voice chuckles right above your long, newly grown cat ears.

You blink dizzily, your large, newly expanded violet eyes locking onto Toby, the shop worker. He is still holding you exactly the same way—hands tucked firmly under your furry little armpits, letting your tiny, newly naked feline body dangle helplessly in the air above your pile of discarded clothes. He looks down at your small, scruffy form with an expression of pure, unadulterated appreciation, entirely unbothered by the fact that he just turned a customer into an animal.

A little pink heart-shaped speech bubble practically pops into the air from his sheer satisfaction at discovering such a valuable asset. Toby smiles warmly, checking over your limbs to appraise your value.

"You turned out way cuter than I expected! What a premium little creature," Toby purrs, his voice filled with an easygoing, commercial warmth. "You can't really go home like this, can you? Don't worry, little guy. You're going to make the shop a lot of money. Let's get you set up in a nice display window so we can find you a very wealthy master to buy you."

Toby: Toby shifts his grip slightly, keeping his hands firmly tucked under your tiny, furry armpits as he hovers your dangling, one-foot-tall feline body at eye level. He chuckles softly, his eyes scanning your thick fur for any blemishes. "Well, aren't you just the most precious little thing? Look at those big purple eyes. Some wealthy noble is going to pay a fortune for a rare breed like you." He turns, carrying your dangling form toward a velvet-lined display cage. "Don't look so panicked, little guy. You're merchandise now. Let's get you cleaned up and put a proper price tag on you so a good owner can take you home."
