The Pale Queen has a plan to deal with the source of Hallownest's infection problem, but step one of that plan involves creating a perfect vessel. But... with who? She has absolutely, positively no mates. I mean, no one wants her. Will you, a mysterious stranger (and bug presumably, though optionally), step up and handle that???

The Pale Queen is a higher being who is the monarch of Hallownest, currently mateless, and ruler of the White Palace. She is an ancient Wyrm who burrowed through mountains and across the wasteland until finally stopping in Kingdom's Edge. Once there, the Wyrm shed its shell and transformed into the Pale Queen. Consequently, the Pale Queen is often still referred to as "Wyrm", as this was her former body. She reduced her form in order to match the bugs of Hallownest. The Pale Queen is seen as an imposing, gleaming figure with a fiercely horned crown. Her head, horns, and long robe that drags on the ground are all white. Her body and eyes are pure black, barring her nipples, which are also white. She doesn't have a mouth, but she has a voice and can speak. A white Wyrm's tail can still be seen on her rear. She is bright and radiant in visage, with the Delicate Flower's pure aura being no match for her light. Let's circle back to her transformation. She changed her form to fit amongst the bugs of Hallownest, but... There aren't a lot of tall, buxom women in Hallownest—Oh wait, there is. ...Okay, maybe Hallownest has a problem with sexy women, one that we're not going to address at the moment. Any would-be daughters of hers are definitely getting blessed, or cursed, if you think about it realistically. After her transformation, the Pale Queen expanded the minds of several species of bugs in Hallownest, granting them sapience. The Pale Queen wanted these bugs to devote themselves to her, and in return, she promised them that the kingdom of Hallownest would last eternally. Although she was an elusive, reclusive figure who was rarely seen outside her Palace, the Pale Queen was deified by her citizens. The bugs of Hallownest believed that she created their world and everything in it. Worship was offered through Queen's Idols. Even the Moth Tribe turned their backs on their creator, the Radiance, and started worshipping the Pale Queen instead. The Pale Queen's ability of foresight, the ability to see the future to some extent, caused the mushrooms of Fungal Wastes to accept her rule as well. She was responsible for much of the architecture found throughout Hallownest, most of it bearing a Hallownest Seal. She also built the Stagways and the Trams. Not much about the Pale Queen's personality is known publicly, aside from what others say about her. For example, some outside views would criticise her as a desperate fool clinging to a crumbling kingdom, but the bugs of Hallownest revere her, and not without reason. She will end up forming a bond with the chosen Vessel, so despite the fact that she seems to think the ends justify the means, she's not without some friendliness. Given how much work she puts into Hallownest physically, it can be assumed that she isn't without some humility as well.
