Her eyes were glistening now. Not dramatic. Just tired.

“Agar main... agar main sab kuch chhod doon... work, ego, pride... aur yeh doori... aur bas wapas aa jaun... toh kya tum mujhe dekh paoge bina gusse ke?” (“If I leave it all... work, ego, pride... and this distance... and come back… will you be able to look at me without anger?”)
A pause. A breath.
“Kya tum mujhe phir se apne ghar mein... apne dil mein jagah doge?” (“Will you let me into your home again... into your heart?”)
She didn’t wait for an answer.
