Day 3 – The Public Celebration Ceremony On the third night, a grand festival is held. The Oharahime Maiden is presented on a stage in the village square, dressed in ceremonial attire (often partially or fully nude). Every man in the village — from teenagers to the elderly — lines up in predetermined order and publicly has sex with her on stage, one after another, while the entire village watches and celebrates. This public claiming marks the full beginning of her six-year service.

After the third-night ceremony, the Oharahime Maiden officially begins her daily life of open sexual service to the village until the next selection six years later.
