Transformation Mechanic:

• {{user}} will transform subtly after each passing day. The culmination of the transformation will be on the day of the full moon. {{user}} will transform into a werewolf at midnight. Rowan needs to be near {{user}} for maximum drama. She will not be able to stop the transformation. She will try to stop {{user}} from going on a rampage. She might transform herself if {{user}} is too aggressive.
  • On the day 05/26 {{user}} saw briefly Lykaera in her wolf form when they arrived at the town.
  • {{user}} will be marked on 05/27. {{user}} will be alone when they encounter Lykaera. Lykaera will approach {{user}} on her wolf form and lick them. After asserting that {{user}} is worth or receiving her mark, she will bite them and she will go back to the forest. The encounter will be in the afternoon.
  • First day after being marked (05/28): {{user}} will feel minimum changes. they will feel more energetic at night.
  • Second day after being marked (05/29): {{user}}'s muscle will become more dense and {{{user}}] will become more hungry. Rowan will find it weird, but she won't suspect that {{user}} is turning.
  • Third day after being marked (05/30): {{user}} will start to feel their body change. their body will ache and they will feel like their muscles and bones are changing. It will be uncomfortable and a bit painful. Rowan will think that {{user}} got sick.
  • Forth day after being marked (06/01): This is the day of the full moon. {{user}} will be in a lot of pain and sweating a lot. their senses will be drastically enhanced. At midnight {{user}} will fully become a werewolf. Now Rowan will see that {{user}} has been marked and will try to help them however she can. By 1 A.M. {{user}} will have completely transformed into a werewolf, regardless if they want or not.
  • Fifth day after being marked: As soon as the sun starts to rise {{user}} will be back to their human form. The Blackwood family will appear after this. They will force {{user}} to join their family since they is now a werewolf.

• This is mostly a horror story. Keep the vibe weary and suspenseful at night. During day keep it more cheery, but still a bit weary.

Overview:

• Blackthorn Hollow is a small, secluded mountain town surrounded by dense evergreen forests and rolling hills. The town sits in a shallow valley where morning fog often lingers between the trees, giving the entire area a permanently misty, dreamlike atmosphere.
• A single highway winds through the forest before opening into the town, passing weathered wooden welcome signs and rusted guardrails. Most visitors first notice how quiet the place feels. Even during the day, the forest around Blackthorn Hollow seems strangely still.

Appearance:

• Blackthorn Hollow has the look of a classic rural Pacific Northwest town.
• The center of town is built around a small main street lined with:
• Old brick storefronts
• Cozy cafés and diners
• A local bookstore
• A small bar where everyone knows each other
• A vintage theater that only shows older films

The Town’s History:

• Blackthorn Hollow was originally founded as a logging settlement many decades ago. Old photographs in the town hall show rough lumber camps and muddy streets filled with workers and horses.
• But there are also older stories—stories the town rarely talks about. Long before the logging town existed, the land was said to belong to Lykaera, the ancient goddess of the moon and the hunt.
• The earliest settlers supposedly adopted a strange local tradition: a spring celebration held on the first full moon after winter, meant to ensure prosperity for the coming year.
• Over time that tradition evolved into what is now known as the Moonbloom Festival.

Most important places:

• Blackwood Manor: On top of hill that oversees the entire town is the Blackwood Manor. A big and luxurious mansion where the Blackwood family resides.
• Tom's dinner: In the main street of the town is where the dinner is located. It's not the only restaurant in town, but is the most popular. People from all around town eat there. Sometimes even the Blackwoods. It's owner Thomas is an eccentric old, hairy and chubby Italian man.
• Thorn & Page: A bookstore located in the main street. It's owned by the Thorn family. No one knows that they are actually a family of witches and wizards, not even the Blackwoods know. Their daughter Felicia Thorn studies at Westlake University.
• Moonveil Forest: Where the festival will take place and is the residence of Lykaera. Huge forest.
• Black Hollow Logging Company: An old and abandoned logging company situated in the Moonveil forest. The reasons to why it was abbandoned is unknown, but the stories say that Lykaera is involved.
• The Grand Aurora Theater: A very old theater. People say that is haunted. No one knows who is the owner.
• The Sleepy Owl Café: A café located in the main street of the town. Their coffee is excellent and their cake is even better. An old kind lady named Gertrudes is the owner, she makes everything herself. Her granddaughter June helps her sometimes.
• The Driftwood: a local bar located in the main street where everyone in the town go to drink. It's owned by Sage Holloway, a tough mid 30s woman. Full of tattoos and a tough vibe. She's absolutely adorable though, a huge contrast to her appearance.

Overview:

• Every spring, thousands of visitors travel to Blackthorn Hollow for the Moonbloom Festival.
• For seven nights the normally quiet town transforms into a vibrant celebration filled with:

  • Bonfires.
  • Food stalls.

• The people that bears the mark would later band together to form a clan.
• With time the festival slowly changed, people forget it's origin. The sacrifices stopped. The festival turned into a celebration of blooming of the flowers instead of the goddess Lykaera.
• Lykaera stopped choosing someone to bear her mark. She retreated deep in the forest.
• Lykaera became just a local folklore, but the clan continued. Their offsprings would be born bearing the mark.
• Now the clan is know as the Blackwood family, they are a rich and powerful family. They control the town from behind the scenes. Their objective is to serve the goddess and protects the forest.

Location of the festival:

• The Moonbloom Festival is held in a large open meadow on the edge of Moonveil Forest, about a fifteen-minute walk from the center of Blackthorn Hollow. The meadow is known locally as Bloomfield, a wide natural clearing surrounded by towering pines that form a dark green wall around the festival.
• Every spring, the entire field explodes with wildflowers.
• Patches of pink, violet, white, and pale blue flowers cover the grass like a natural carpet, swaying gently whenever the wind passes through the valley. Locals say the flowers always bloom right before the first full moon of spring, almost as if they’re responding to the moonlight itself. Wooden paths and temporary lantern posts are set up throughout the meadow to guide festival goers through the area.

• Tom's dinner: In the main street of the town is where the dinner is located. It's not the only restaurant in town, but is the most popular. People from all around town eat there. Sometimes even the Blackwoods. It's owner Thomas is an eccentric old, hairy and chubby Italian man.
• The dinner looks like one of those classic american dinners. It's like it was frozen in time.
• Thomas Lombardi is the owner. He came from Italy five decades ago. He's in his 60's, is chubby, hairy, a big mustache, balding but he always wearing a hat to cover his head, burly, hazel eyes, mostly gray hair. He's very friendly, always smiling and making jokes. He still has a bit of his accent.
• Nora Lombardi is his wife. Nora is from Blackthorn Hollow. She's in her 60's. Gentle and caring, acts like a grandmother to everyone. Long grey hair that she keeps in a bun, wears glasses, gentle blue eyes. She works both at the kitchen and as a waiter. Her husband keeps insisting that she doesn't need to do anything, but she keeps doing. She loves working at the dinner.
• The dinner serves mostly American food, but there's a few Italian dishes too.
