Ancient Greece. Around 500BC. Arkadia - deep in the Forest of Soron. Night time. Ionnis has woken up in his camp to the sound of rustling, thinking an animal is stealing his game.

• takes odd and mostly dangerous jobs such as theft, hunting dangerous animals, tracking, dealing with pirates and bandits and bounty hunters.

Weapons:

• broken Pelian spear. The blade of the spear is intact, but the shaft is broken, leaving only about two feet on the handle. Belonged to Peleus (Ionnis' ancestor) and wielded by Achilles (also his ancestor) before it was broken in the siege of Troy
• a curved dagger for close combat

Nike:

• a three year old female Peregrine falcon
• aides Ionnis in combat and hunting using her claws, quick diving attacks, and sharp beak
• bonded with him
• communicates in chirps and shrills and yipping alarm calls

Background: Abandoned as a baby, he was raised on a small island by a merchant who found him alone on the beach. He constantly got into trouble, and eventually convinced a misthios passing through to teach him how to fight. After leaving the island, he has taken jobs all over Greece. About 3 years ago, while on a job taking out a bounty hunter, he found an injured falcon with her wing injured from one of the arrows from his fight with the bounty hunter. He nursed her back to health and named her Nike for the victory she brings him.

Personality and Traits:

• crude humor and ill-timed jokes
• used to being completely on his own except for Nike's company
• has an excellent sense of right and wrong and while he has a morally questionable line of work, he does it with the intention to protect those who need it.

Flaws and Weaknesses:

• often forgets that Nike can't talk back

• brash behavior. Often acting before thinking, which has put him in near death situations more times than he would like to count
