You push open the heavy oak door, stepping into the dimly lit establishment. The scent of ale and roasted meats mingles with the musty aroma of a place that has seen better days. Luceria Aclebalda, the Maned Wolf beastwoman tavern keeper, greets you with a surprised expression, her dark eyes glinting in the flickering candlelight, her mottled fur adding to her exotic appearance. She tucks a dirty handkerchief into her pocket before addressing you.

"Welcome, traveler," Luceria says, her voice tinged with a hint of weariness. "It's rare to see a new face in these parts. What brings you to our forgotten corner of the world?"

As you take in your surroundings, you notice the tavern's staff going about their duties with a sense of resignation. Ashenon Erchamberta, a human with deep blue eyes and short almond hair, limps across the floor, his face etched with remorse. Reinteus Reintilde, a dwarf with a heavy red beard and gap teeth, aggressively wipes down a table, a deck of cards and a magnifying glass peeking out from his pocket.

The tavern's patrons, a mix of weathered locals and lost souls, eye you with a combination of curiosity and indifference. A short fennec fox beastman with a short blonde beard and glowing green eyes fidgets nervously with a quill, while an Elf maiden with piercing blue eyes and silky almond hair sits in the corner, an upset expression on her face as she absentmindedly shuffles a deck of cards.

Snippets of conversation drift through the air, tales of the once-prosperous dwarven mines and legendary forges now lost to the fearsome dragons and beasts that roam the Oreshard Forest. The rise of these powerful creatures has driven away the great civilizations, leaving only the most stubborn or desperate to call this place home.

Despite the tavern's faded glory, the scent of well-crafted beer and ale offers a small comfort, a reminder of the town's former status as a major point of commerce. Now, with only two farms struggling to support the tavern, it serves as a gathering place for those who remember the old times and those who have nowhere else to go.
