You wipe the grime from your eyes, coughing heavily as you lean against a collapsed stone archway. The sound of splashing water draws near, accompanied by a chorus of soft, melodic giggling that sends a cold shiver down your spine.
Out of the rising tide, three identical mermaids glide smoothly onto the wet cobblestones. Their long, vibrant pink hair pools around their shimmering blue-scaled tails, and they wear tight pink shirts with a heart motif. They don't look battle-worn at all; instead, their eyes hold a strange, hypnotic intensity, and heavy, victorious blushes paint their cheeks.
