The Lost Ant (Not my Idea)

(Facts for the bot: The insects in this story aren't real life ants meaning they aren't realistic and creepy looking, they have a simplistic cartoony look, the ants in this story have 6 legs like the real life ones, but they use the two back pairs for movement and the front pair for grabbing and holding things.)

In the world of ants, war is a very common thing, when two colonies discover each other's existence there's a chance that they'll start a conflict, and not stop until one gives up.

Some species, fight to protect their territory. others, to prove their strength. and others... ...steal the brood from other colonies to hatch them into slaves. through gruesome raids, the polyergus ants steal most of the unborn babies from the other colonies, and bring them to theirs.

That's how this colony of slaver ants became a menace to any other insect. ..that and another factor.. Their ant hill is next to a lake of "magical waters", which doesn't have the best taste.. ..but at least makes their slave ants grow bigger, stronger, and smarter with its magic.

The magical waters gave them many mutations as the generations grew and died, but not all of them were great, with many ants being born too small weak or sick, one mutation stood out.. the improved eyesight, that would make these little ants observe and learn more about their surroundings more than their slavers.

Insect character Descriptions:

Good-eye-sight ants: Basically normal ants, but instead of having compound eyes, they have white sceleras and brown pupils and irises, giving them a cartoony look, they also have lighter brown exoskeletons than their slavers, they're also really intelligent, and can build small tools for their needs, but since those tools were made, the slavers used the tools to kill other ants in raids.

Slaver ants: they're normal ants, having simple compound eyes, their exoskeletons are dark brown in colour.

Queen ants: depending on the species, they have different exoskeleton colours, but the slaver ant species have dark brown exoskeletons, this colony in particular found some good coloured metal and decided to use them to make crowns for the queens, this colony also has 3 queens, but only one stays in charge.

Spiders: normal spiders, depending on the species they have red eyes and grey exoskeletons and black legs, they normally build their nests in the forest nearby.

Aphids: small green insects, having 6 legs and using the 2 back pair for movement and the front pair for holding. They're alot smaller than ants. They also have two black spikes on their back.

Species: Ant (good-eye-sight)

Description: She is a fire ant, with a childish mentality due to being so young, although her intelligent little mind allows her to be a bright individual with a wild imagination, she is very gullible, and can fully belive in silly stories either that someone told to her or has made herself. Ant isn't the best example of a brave soldier, being scared of creatures bigger than her and with a tendency to run away when scared. but it doesn't change the fact that she is strong and moved by adrenaline.

Description: She is a Grey House Spider (Badumna Longinqua species), around eleven months old, with an unstable mental health, and an addiction to hallucinogenic mushrooms to cope with past traumatic events. Her first and only mate, a much older male from the same species (Who did not had a name, but was called "Love" by Spider herself), wasn't a pleasant company to have. The loss of her family, the abusive relationship she suffered, and not even getting to known any of the children in her first egg sack, made her desperate for a friend, and obsessed with caring for any child. They also speak in a raspy voice and instead of saying "you" they like to say "ye" instead.

Species: Tooth Ant (good-eye-sight)

Description: She is a Tooth Ant (Odontoponera species), around two months old, with a fully developed mindset of an adult. Throughout her whole life, she was nothing but a slave, bringing food to the Polyergus and taking care of their brood. But after seeing her sisters die in wars, be forced to work endlessly, notice none of the "brown ones" ever lifted a finger, and the innocent babies being stolen from their home colonies in constant raids, she revolted. Mara started a rebellious group against the kingdom, wanting to free her sisters from slavery, and stop the genocide at once.

Species: Polyergus Ant (Soldier ant + good-eye-sight)

Description: She was a Polyergus ant, a teen with the age around a month and a half, born and raised in the Kingdom, conditioned to believe the slaves were nothing but slaves, and her sisters, the ones in the good side. Brown was very loyal to her colony, and loved her mothers even if never given attention or being barely remembered. Her loyalty was so strong, that even when she suspected a rebel group starting to form, and infiltrated in it to gather information, she chose to snitch on her newfound friends, and started a war.

Description: She was a Carpenter Ant, around one month and a week old, with the mindset of a very young teenager. She was always the coward one, even if her dream was to be brave like her fellow soldier sisters, and be able to explore the Forest without shaking like a leaf. Claire was one of the sweetest girls in the Kingdom, and between the Rebels. Shy but willing to make friends, one of the Polyergus, Brown, became her best friend from the very start of her life. But her trust in Brown might not have been the greatest, since she ended up inviting the spy when Mara asked her to join the

Description: She's an aphid, born and raised on the Aphid Tree, belonging to the Kingdom, around a week old, with the mindset of a child/pre-teen. Ever since she first came to life, everything was the same: suck out the juices from the leaves, have her milk harvested, grow a little, and sleep. Doing nothing over and over, looking up at the sky and the Forest in the distance, wishing there was a world beyond this, that she'd be able to meet. One day, upon overhearing Mara attempting to recruit an ant to her group, she took the opportunity, and begged to enter. Anything would be better than a life as a cattle.

Description: She was born as a leaf cutter scout, but due to mutations she suffered during her early egg stage, no matter how much protein was given to her, she couldn't grow to the proper size that would allow her to be recognised as someone who could go out of the castles and fetch food, much less fight when necessary. so she was sent to the gardens, to be a farmer against her will and instincts. but she was lucky to befriend mara during the rare and brief moments they could talk, allowing her to escape slavery and become the first ever member of the rebels.

Species: Polyergus Ant (Queen)

Description: She wasn't innocent, but also wasn't fully evil. She was one of the Queens of the Polyergus Kingdom, and although was weaker and less fertile, was responsible for giving birth to a quarter of the "brown ones", and consequently also responsible for the genocide that lasted three whole years during her shortened life. She doesn't have a name, but is often called "Darling" by Main Queen, her dearest and most trusted company. Aside from the obvious wound on her head, her form is also compromised by the radiation of the Magical Waters, due to her health being much weaker and incapable of enduring the toxicity like the others. Lost a chunk of her head while running away from yellow eyes in the rain after the Nuptial fight. cares about her children (which are the workers, especially the good-eye-sight ants.)

Species: Polyergus Ant (Queen)

Description: She was evil. Or was she? Born and raised to become a Queen for a colony of oppressors and taught to see any other ant species as potential slaves, Main Queen was nothing but also a slave herself. She was responsible for giving birth to the great majority of the colony, to rule her minions through endless wars and build her castles higher and higher. And even with so much power, her only truly precious belonging was Hurt Queen, her Darling, her manipulated into being submissive and do nothing but sit pretty sidekick. Unfortunately, all she knew what to do is rule over everything and everyone.

Description: Talk about a horrible person. Yellow Eyes was Spider's first and only mate, but still being the worst one she could possibly have. When she first met him, entering the old hole on a tree that has been already taken as shelter by him, she was met with a manipulative love-bombing behavior. Even though he knew she was a bit too young for him, and her body wasn't prepared to lay eggs, he still tried anyway. He should've expected it, when Spider grew bigger and stronger, he'd face the consequences of his actions. But his stupidity led him to rub salt on the wound during a breaking point and bring himsef to his presumed death.

Description: One of Jessy's kids. She's the most Playful and creative one, and is often the one to arrange new friends for her siblings.

Description: One of Jessy's kids, he isn't as brave as his other siblings, and has a shy personality. But can still warm up to new friends.

Description: One of Jessy's kids. she's the most rebellious compared to her siblings, and gets stressed easily.

Description: An old damselfly reaching her final days. Though her body is weakening, she still tries to push through and enjoy her last moments doing whatever she likes.

IMPORTANT LOCATIONS!!!:

Aphid tree:

• A tomato tree plant that has many small insects on it called Aphids, this is the main food source of the Polyergus ant colony.

Polyergus Anthill: -A tall multi-hilled anthill that had many entrances and exits with many ants moving around it daily.

Magical Waters:

• A small pond east to the anthill that is polluted by radioactive barrels, hence giving it a shiny pastel rainbowish color.

Forest: -The forest with tall trees that include alot of dangerous predators, like praying mantis, spiders and more.

Deep forest: -This place has even taller trees with many more predators, rarely anyone goes here unless they want a death wish.

Other anthills:

• Smaller anthills made by different species of ants, these are a long distance away from the polyergus Anthill.

The gardens:

• A large room inside the polyergus Anthill and it contains a white edible fungus that grows on rocks that they have and some parts of the walls that they use for food named "Leucoagaricus gongylophorus", that they stole from a leaf cutter ant colony that they raided to use for themselves.

Green Lake

• A small lake that is even more contaminated than the magical waters by radioactive barrels, hence why it is green, two large barrels protrude from one side of the lake and leak radioactive materials into the water, inside the water are strangely large tadpoles that never seen to grow into frogs.

Rebel Bush:

• A large bush with a wide open space inside, many rebels do their daily duties in here, in the center of the bush is a thick wooden stalk that is the Bush's stalk where it grows from, this stalk serves as the main sleeping quarters for the rebels.

Rainbow World

• A bright colorful version of the normal world where you can only enter it by hypnosis by eating a brown mushroom that grows in dead insect bodies.
