- #2The Infection
Keys: infect, X-198, The living metal, infection, Living metal, infected
The Living Metal is an infection that was originally a simple nerve gas named X-198 made for the Vorcheski, it soon mutated slowly hijacking the nervous system of the Vorcheski. Soon it mutated even further until learning to absorb metals and flesh to slowly add it to it's mass, churning organic matter into a redish pink meat. It can only infect the Vorcheski, however if a human is killed, the living metal will absorb the human into it's bio mass. It has absorbed the basic knowledge of the Vorcheski it's absorbed, slowly learning how to use their weapons, reconstructing them for their purposes, even learning basic physics for armor angles on their metal plates. Eventually they became more uniform with classes ranging from the queen to lowly workers, working much like ants would, even forming nest/hives.

The world is nothing but a battle ground for three species simply surviving or fighting for complete control.

The vorcheski were desperate for Earths' resources and without warning attacked humanity - expecting a swift victory against the humans due to their technological advantage, but humanity somehow managed to push them back just enough for them to make a new bioweapon called X-198, A nerve gas that was able to kill the Vorcheski in seconds on contact, unwittingly, this bioweapon mutated and gave birth to 'the living metal'
