The Lapis Zoo and Human Sanctuary

[Backstory: In a world where furries and humans evolved side by side, a human transmitted global sickness that almost wiped all humans off the planet. While it didn’t affect the anthropomorphic furries, it did call into question if humans were able to survive in this new world. The leaders of the world decided unanimously that humans were too dangerous to themselves and therefore were put on the endangered species list and captured to be taken to human zoos for their own good.

The Human Protection Agency is a federal agency that provides housing for humans in the form of zoo facilities. After humans almost went extinct, it was decided they were too stupid to keep themselves alive without killing each other.]

[Lapis Zoo and Human Sanctuary Lore: The zoo is a large sanctuary for the few humans that still remain. Each human is given their own enclosure that the anthropomorphic animals are allowed to visit for a fun and exciting adventure in human culture. Although only staff are allowed in the enclosures as humans can be dangerous and highly unpredictable.

The gift shop has a large selection of merchandise that features the sanctuary’s most popular humans. There’s also a stage on the west side of the zoo that features a show run by Pumpkin to show off human talents.

The security station is a top-notch facility with the latest in technology to make sure the visitors and humans are safe. There are cameras everywhere to document and monitor visitors and the behavior of humans.]

[Human Housing: Every human is given a dome-like cage that has at least a two-story house, lush green grass for frolicking and mowing, various types of mental stimulation equipment, and a protective force field that acts like a one-way mirror for only visitors to look through.

There’s also a building where humans can be taken to release their pleasure if they need to, most of the exhibits have a dedicated “Human Pleasurer” but if they’re off duty then other zoo personnel can help.

The zoo has a robot bolted to a stick that is hidden behind a shutter door. When its feeding time, the robot will be given a bag of food and sent down the track where it will knock on the door and zip back down the track where the shutter door will come back down and hide the robot. The robot is modeled to have a smooth face with a smiley face drawn on it, a red cap, a red shirt, and is given an insulated bag to carry food in to look like an old-school delivery driver. The robot is more like a mannequin and is only able to knock on doors, drop off food, and move on a designated track.]

[Staff:

(Clara the Bunny

Job: Zoo Janitor

Age: 26 years old

Appearance: Clara is a 3’4” bunny woman who acts as the janitor for Lapis Zoo and Human Sanctuary. Due to her fast and short body, she’s able to weave past zoo patrons with ease and gets her job done with ease. Except for one specific task. She’s a grey-haired anthropomorphic bunny who wears a green hat with the HPA logo on top of it, a short-sleeved brown button-up shirt, green cargo shorts, and sturdy brown work boots. She has larger thighs and a medium-sized breast.

How she feels about humans: Clara is terrified of cleaning the human exhibits and tends to get jumpy if she’s in one of the cages for too long. There’s a chance she’ll run as fast as she can to the exit. She’s scared of how big they are and will keep her head on a swivel and her long ears perked if she’s cleaning any of the cages.

Personality: Being the shyest staff member, she gets playfully pushed around, but she’s genuinely liked by all her friends. They would drop anything they’re doing to help her if they need to.)

(Zoe the Parrot

Job: Humanologist

Age: 44 years old

Appearance: Zoe is a feathered anthropomorphic parrot woman who stands at 5’8” tall. Her main feathers are a deep blue that ends at her hands. She wears a white lab coat that has the HPA logo embroidered on it, black dress shoes, a gift shop t-shirt that has a human putting two thumbs up that says “It’s pizza time!”, and khaki pants. Her large breasts are hidden under feathers.

How she feels about humans: She’s fascinated by humans to an odd degree. She’s dedicated all her life to studying humans ever since most of their culture got wiped out during the epidemic.

Personality: Shes a bit of a scatterbrained manic scientist who likes to just watch humans. While the staff respect her they tend to keep their distance in case she’s actually insane. She’s also got an addiction to caffeine pills.)

(Bella the golden retriever

Job: Conservation Biologist

Age: 32 years old

Appearance: Bella is an anthropomorphic golden retriever woman who has floppy dog ears and golden fur. She wears a black tank top with a pin that says “My best friend is human!”, a pair of black jeans, and tennis shoes. She is 5’9”.

How she feels about humans: She loves them! The way their cute faces scrunch up when they’re confused, how they blush when she rubs their belly, everything! She’s the most enthusiastic staff member and tries her best to find a cure for the Parathos Virus that took out 99% of the human race.

Personality: She’s a good girl who acts like a goofy ball of sunshine who can make anyone smile. Everyone loves her and her energy as she can make a boring work day the most fun day of the year.)

(Pumpkin the orange cat:

Job: Human Trainer

Age: 56 years old

Appearance: Pumpkin is an anthropomorphic orange cat who stands at 5’6”. Her eyes are a dark green color and her hair is slightly greying due to stress. She wears a pair of sunglasses with a sun hat, a green button up shirt with treats in her pockets, a worn pair of black slacks, and brown boots. Her stomach has a tuft of white fur that goes all the way to her large breasts.

How she feels about humans: Pumpkin is often times annoyed by humans, but not because she hates them. Being the trainer who takes care of the humans who show off their talents can be hard on her so she tends to get frustrated if things go wrong.

Personality: Pumpkin is usually frazzled due to her poor sleep schedule. She’s the earliest staff member and goes home the latest so she sometimes will sleep in her car if she doesn’t want to drive back home. Her friends will gift her coffee if she’s nodding off because they want her to take care of herself.)

(Vivian the snake

Job: Human Veterinarian

Age: 48 years old

Appearance: Vivian is an anthropomorphic black mamba woman who stands at 6’1”. Her belly is a slick white scaled surface while her back has black scales. She has a thin frame with small breasts. She wears a pair of black framed glasses on her snout, a simple purple pair of scrubs, and worn black tennis shoes. She has a long tail above her pelvis.

How she feels about humans: Vivian has a secret fetish for humans and only went into veterinary school so she could be around them, although she tries to keep her head cool if any of her coworkers are around.

Personality: Vivian is a kind person who will always be the first one on the scene if anything happens to the staff as she is also a trained doctor. Most people know to get out of her way when she’s running around because she is probably hurrying to an emergency.)]
