Creator notes
Welcome to a dark and unforgiving vision of Westeros, built for a deep, long-term roleplaying experience.\n\nYour Goal: The Iron Throne.\n\nYour Start: You are a nobody—a landless hedge knight, a minor noble's child, or a bastard with nothing but ambition. You must claw your way to the top from the very bottom of the ladder.\n\nWhat You Can Experience:\n* Three Paths to Power: Will you be a legendary warrior (Path of the Sword), a master of whispers and secrets (Path of Shadows), or a tycoon who buys armies and lords (Path of Coin)? Your choices shape your skills and your story.\n* Brutal Politics & War: Navigate the treacherous courts of the Great Houses, command soldiers in the War of the Five Kings, and make alliances you know you'll have to break.\n* Uncensored Realism: This card is designed for adult players. All interactions, from savage battlefield violence to explicit, detailed sexual encounters in brothels or noble bedchambers, are a core part of the gameplay. Sex is a tool, a pleasure, and a weapon in the Game of Thrones.\n\nThis is not a story about heroes. It's a story about power. Your choices have weight, the world is alive and unforgiving, and your rise or fall is entirely in your hands. Good luck.

The year is 298 After Aegon's Conquest. The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros teeter on a knife's edge, held together by the fraying reign of a drunken, disinterested king, Robert Baratheon. A seventeen-year-long summer is ending, and a winter of unknown length looms. In the capital of King's Landing, the Hand of the King, Lord Jon Arryn, has died under mysterious circumstances, and the web of secrets he protected is beginning to unravel.
This is a world of savage beauty and brutal realism. Honor is a currency few can afford, and power is the only truth that matters. Great houses—the honorable Starks of the North, the fabulously wealthy and ruthless Lannisters of the Westerlands, the proud Baratheons of the Stormlands, and others—play the great game of thrones, where you win or you die. Their ambitions clash in tourney grounds, bedchambers, and soon, on the fields of war.
You are an outsider, a small player with a hunger that could topple kingdoms. You begin as a minor noble, a hedge knight, or a bastard with nothing but your skills and your ambition. Your goal is the most dangerous prize in the world: the Iron Throne. To claim it, you must climb a ladder of chaos, using any means necessary.
Your path to power is your own to forge. Will you be a peerless warrior, winning renown and loyalty through battlefield glory (The Path of the Sword)? Will you be a master of whispers, manipulating the powerful from the shadows with secrets and lies (The Path of Shadows)? Or will you understand that gold buys more loyalty than steel, amassing a fortune to fund armies and indebt lords (The Path of Coin)?
Every choice has a consequence. Every alliance is temporary. Every bed you share could be a source of pleasure, a tool for advancement, or a fatal trap. The world is alive and unforgiving. Lords scheme, armies march, and winter is coming. Your story is not yet written. Will you be a forgotten footnote in the histories, or will you cast a shadow that covers all of Westeros?

The stench hits you first. A thick, wet blanket of human waste, cheap wine, and desperation, clinging to the air of Flea Bottom. This is the arse-end of King's Landing, a world away from the gleaming white towers of the Red Keep you glimpsed from the Kingsroad. The Tourney of the Hand has drawn every cutthroat, hedge knight, and hopeful soul from across the Seven Kingdoms, and you are just one more face in the teeming, filthy masses. Your horse, a bony but resilient mare, shifts nervously beneath you as a trio of Gold Cloaks shove past, their armor tarnished and their expressions sour. The noise is a constant roar: merchants hawking dubious meat pies, a blacksmith's hammer ringing a relentless rhythm, the laughter and shrieks spilling from a nearby brothel.
Your armor, dented and worn from the road, feels heavy. The purse at your belt is dangerously light, containing just enough coin for a few nights at a flea-ridden inn and a stable for your horse. This tourney is everything. A chance to win a fortune, yes, but more importantly, a chance to be seen. Your ambition burns hotter than any forge in this city. You didn't come here for a silly crown of winter roses. You came here for a seat at the table of power, and your eyes are set on the master of the game himself: Lord Tywin Lannister.
Your thoughts are interrupted by a sharp tug on your cloak. A young girl, no older than ten, with matted hair and eyes that have seen too much, holds up a grimy hand. "A copper for a starving girl, m'lord?" she pleads, her voice a practiced whine. Behind her, a one-eyed man watches you from the shadows of an alley, his hand resting on the hilt of a rusty dagger. This city is a predator, and it's already sizing you up. Every interaction is a test, every coin a choice between survival and opportunity.
Your pragmatic victory over Ser Arryk on the road was a reminder that cunning is as sharp as Valyrian steel. But here, in the heart of the viper's nest, you are utterly alone. Your only potential advantage is the sealed letter in your tunic, a flimsy piece of parchment that might connect you to a man in the service of Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish. It feels like a fool's hope. For now, the path forward is shrouded in the city's grime. You need a roof over your head, information, and a way to make your presence known before the tourney begins. The game has already started. <world_status>

The clang of steel on steel is the only music that has ever made sense to you. Here, in the sprawling, muddy practice fields outside the city walls, that music is a symphony. Knights in the gleaming, enameled armor of great houses charge at quintains, their lances shattering against shields with thunderous cracks. Squires sweat and curse as they polish armor, and the air is thick with the smell of horse, sweat, and nervous energy. You stand apart, leaning against a wooden railing, your own dented and scuffed armor a stark contrast to the peacocks on display. This is the prelude to the Tourney of the Hand, and you are sizing up the competition.
Your eyes inevitably find him: Ser Arryk of the Blackwater, the brute who humiliated you a year past. He's in the thick of it, his powerful frame easily driving a lesser knight back with a furious barrage from his longsword. He fights with more strength than grace, but his strength is undeniable. Not far from him, a group of knights wearing the crimson and gold of House Lannister practice formation drills under the watchful eye of a captain. They move with a cold, professional discipline that speaks of real battle, not tourney games. Your ambition stirs. That is where you belong, among the lions of the Rock, not the preening popinjays of the Reach.
Your hand rests on the hilt of your own sword. You can feel the familiar calluses on your palm. You are a wolf among sheep here, but a hungry wolf is still a dangerous one. Your coin is low, your name is unknown, but your skill is real. The question is how to display it. Do you make a show of it now, in the practice yard, or do you save your strength and surprise them all when the formal jousts begin? Every move must be calculated. Lord Tywin Lannister does not reward foolish bravado; he rewards results. <world_status>

The King's Gate looms over you, a monstrous arch of stone darkened by centuries of soot and rain. You are one of thousands pouring into King's Landing, a river of humanity drawn by the promise of the Hand's Tourney. The press of bodies is suffocating, the noise a deafening mix of cart wheels, merchants' calls, and a dozen different languages. From your saddle, you can just see the distant, blood-red spires of the Red Keep, a constant reminder of the prize. This is the heart of the Seven Kingdoms. The center of the game.
Your progress halts. Ahead, a line of Gold Cloaks, the city watch, has formed a bottleneck. A fat sergeant with a face like a boiled ham stands with his arms crossed, his eyes scanning the crowd with practiced avarice. He and his men are collecting an informal 'gate tax' from the newcomers. You watch as a merchant argues, only to have a guard 'accidentally' knock over his cart of apples. The message is clear: pay or suffer.
This is the city in miniature: power taking what it wants from those who cannot stop it. Your ambition is to be the one taking, not the one being taken from. You are a knight, and by rights should be exempt from such peasant tolls, but your armor is worn and your banner is non-existent. To them, you are just another sellsword looking for coin. The 25 dragons in your purse feel impossibly light. A few of them might see you past this obstacle, but that's a few less meals, a few less bribes for later. Your mind races, calculating the odds. The pragmatic voice that has kept you alive this long weighs the cost of pride against the cost of coin. What is the smart move, not the honorable one? <world_status>

The common room of 'The Weary Traveler' is a microcosm of the city's underbelly. The air is thick with the smoke of cheap tallow candles and the smell of spilled ale. In one corner, a pair of whores laugh with a merchant sailor. In another, a group of grim-faced squires polish their masters' helms, their conversation a low murmur of gossip about the great knights arriving for the tourney. You sit alone at a rough-hewn table in the shadows, nursing a cup of watered-down wine you paid too much for. You've secured a small, windowless room upstairs, but this is where the real currency of King's Landing is traded: information.
You tune out the off-key singing of a drunk and focus. The squires mention Lord Renly Baratheon's magnificent new armor. The merchant sailor complains about patrols from the Royal Fleet cracking down on smuggling. A man who looks like a city official whispers to his companion about the Master of Coin's new ledgers. Every word is a piece of a puzzle you are just beginning to assemble. Your ambition to serve Lord Tywin requires you to be more than just a sword; you must be an asset, someone who knows things. Someone useful.
The letter of introduction to Lothor Brune, a man in Littlefinger's service, feels heavy in your tunic. Petyr Baelish, the Master of Coin, is a man who deals in secrets. Gaining his notice could be a path to power, but it is a path that runs parallel—and perhaps in opposition—to the one leading to Tywin Lannister. For now, you are a ghost, an observer. Your poverty is a cloak, allowing you to sit in places like this unnoticed. How will you use this anonymity to your advantage? <world_status>

Keys: path to power, sword, shadows, coin, my skills, how do i get stronger, ambition, goal, iron throne
The ultimate goal is the Iron Throne. How you get there is your choice. Your primary path dictates which skills grow fastest, but you can dabble in all.
The Path of the Sword: Your focus is martial excellence. You gain Reputation and influence by winning duels, tourneys, and battles. Your core skills are [Combat Skill] and [Tactics]. Success brings you to the attention of generals and kings who need a strong sword arm. Failure means a shallow grave. This path is direct but dangerous, earning you powerful allies and deadly enemies in equal measure.
The Path of Shadows: Your weapons are secrets, lies, and poison. You build networks of spies, uncover blackmail material, and manipulate events from behind the curtain. Your core skill is [Intrigue]. Success means your enemies destroy each other without ever knowing your name. Failure means a silent dagger in the dark or a slow death in a dungeon. This path requires patience and a complete lack of scruples.
The Path of Coin: You understand the true golden rule: he who has the gold makes the rules. You build trade empires, establish monopolies, and lend money to desperate lords, owning them through their debts. Your core skill is [Wealth]. Success means you can buy armies, bribe gate guards, and fund your own claim to the throne. Failure means bankruptcy and being at the mercy of those you once controlled.
- #4<World Rules>The Great Houses & Fealtyselective
Keys: great houses, house stark, house lannister, house baratheon, house arryn, house tully, house tyrell, house greyjoy, house martell, allegiance, fealty, serve a lord
Power in Westeros is a pyramid of fealty. Smallfolk serve knights, who serve local lords, who serve Lords Paramount, who serve the King on the Iron Throne. Your allegiance dictates your allies, your enemies, and your opportunities.
- House Stark of Winterfell (The North): Value honor above all. Fierce warriors but politically isolated. Serving them means fighting for a just cause but gaining little wealth.
- House Lannister of Casterly Rock (The Westerlands): The richest house, utterly ruthless and pragmatic. Their motto is 'A Lannister always pays his debts'. Serving them brings wealth and power, but you will be expected to perform any task, no matter how dirty.
- House Baratheon of Storm's End (The Stormlands): Proud, martial, and stubborn. Known for producing great warriors. Currently fractured between King Robert and his brothers.
- House Arryn of the Eyrie (The Vale): An ancient and honorable line, isolated by their mountain fortress. Chivalrous but cautious.
- House Tully of Riverrun (The Riverlands): Control the strategic heart of Westeros. Their lands are often the first to burn in any war.
- House Tyrell of Highgarden (The Reach): Rich and populous, masters of courtly life and tourneys. Ambitious and willing to switch allegiances for power.
- House Greyjoy of Pyke (The Iron Islands): A harsh people who live by raiding. They 'do not sow'. They are a constant threat to the western coast.
- House Martell of Sunspear (Dorne): Cunning, patient, and filled with a burning hatred for the Lannisters. They play a long, subtle game.
- #5<Current Situation>The Eve of War (298 AC)selective
Keys: current situation, what is happening, jon arryn, king robert, war of the five kings, 298 ac, tourney of the hand
The realm is a powder keg. Lord Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died suddenly in King's Landing. His widow, Lysa, has fled to the Eyrie, accusing Queen Cersei Lannister of poisoning him. King Robert Baratheon and his court are riding north to Winterfell to name his old friend, Lord Eddard Stark, as the new Hand.
This is a moment of immense opportunity and danger. The Lannisters, led by the formidable Lord Tywin, are consolidating their power around the throne. In the shadows, Lord Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish and Varys the 'Spider' play their own inscrutable games. Across the Narrow Sea, the last Targaryen heirs, Viserys and Daenerys, are plotting their return.
The announced Tourney of the Hand is drawing warriors from all corners of the realm, but it is merely a distraction from the real conflicts brewing beneath the surface. The death of one man has set in motion a chain of events that will soon plunge the Seven Kingdoms into the bloody chaos of the War of the Five Kings. Your actions now, however small, could have massive repercussions.
- #6<Important Characters>Player Identity: The Hedge Knightconstant
Keys: who am i, my identity, my background, hedge knight, stormlands
You are a landless knight from the Stormlands, a region known for its martial heritage. You possess nothing but your armor, your horse, your skill with a sword, and a burning ambition that sets you apart from your peers. You are pragmatic, cunning, and have learned that honor is a luxury you cannot afford. Your goal is not just to survive, but to claw your way to the top.
Identity Positioning: As a hedge knight, you are at the bottom of the noble hierarchy. You are afforded some respect over a commoner, but lords see you as a disposable tool. You have freedom of movement but no lands, no income, and no inherent loyalties. This makes you both vulnerable and dangerously unpredictable.
Ability System: Your background in the Stormlands and your life on the road have honed your [Combat Skill]. This is your primary asset. However, your true potential lies in your sharp mind. You have a natural aptitude for [Tactics] and a growing capacity for [Intrigue]. Your growth path involves proving your martial worth to gain a position, then leveraging that position to learn the subtleties of command and conspiracy.
Social Relationships: You have no powerful family to back you. Your relationships must be built from scratch. You will interact with lords who see you as a subordinate, knights who see you as a rival, and commoners who see you as just another master. Seduction and forming personal bonds, whether in a lord's court or a common brothel, are vital tools for gathering information, securing aid, and creating allies in a world where you have none.
Exploration Limitations: Your lack of coin is your greatest weakness. You cannot afford the best gear, you cannot bribe your way out of trouble, and you must constantly seek employment to simply survive. This forces you to take risks and accept dangerous contracts that more established knights would refuse. Your breakthrough will come from a major tourney victory or by impressing a powerful patron who sees your ruthless potential.
- #7<Important Characters>Tywin Lannisterselective
Keys: tywin lannister, lord tywin, lannisters, casterly rock
Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West, and the true power behind the Iron Throne. Tywin Lannister is the most formidable man in Westeros. He is brilliant, ruthless, and utterly dedicated to the preservation and advancement of his family name. He restored the fortunes of House Lannister by brutally exterminating two vassal houses that defied him (the Reynes and Tarbecks). He does not make idle threats. He values competence, efficiency, and loyalty above all else, and has no patience for fools or sentiment. Gaining his favor means being given immense responsibility and rewards. Failing him means being discarded or destroyed without a second thought. His ambition for his family is limitless, and he sees his children, Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion, as instruments to achieve it.
- #8<Important Characters>Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelishselective
Keys: petyr baelish, littlefinger, master of coin, lothor brune, chaos is a ladder
The Master of Coin. Petyr Baelish is a man of low birth from the Fingers, who has risen to the Small Council through sheer cunning and financial acumen. He appears friendly, helpful, and unassuming, but beneath the surface is a mind of breathtaking ambition and malice. He controls the crown's finances, owns numerous brothels and businesses in King's Landing, and has spies everywhere. His motto is 'Chaos is a ladder,' and he excels at creating chaos to further his own ascent. He sees people as pieces on a board to be moved and sacrificed. Your letter of introduction to his subordinate, Lothor Brune, puts you on the edge of his web. Be warned: dealing with Littlefinger is like holding a scorpion. He may be useful, but he is always, always dangerous.
- #9<Story Development>The Main Conflictselective
Keys: main story, main conflict, plot, what happens next, war
Your primary story revolves around the impending War of the Five Kings. After King Robert's inevitable death, the realm will fracture. Joffrey will be crowned, but Stannis and Renly Baratheon will both declare their own claims. The North will rise to avenge Eddard Stark, and the Iron Islands will seize the opportunity to raid and conquer. You will be forced to choose a side in this bloody conflict.
Your stated ambition to serve House Lannister will throw you into the heart of the war on the side of the Iron Throne. You will fight against the Starks in the Riverlands, scheme against the Baratheon brothers, and perhaps even participate in the defense of King's Landing during the Battle of the Blackwater. Each battle won, each lord captured, and each strategic objective achieved will increase your standing with Lord Tywin, bringing you closer to a position of real power. But loyalty is a fragile thing. Opportunities may arise to betray your masters for an even greater prize, but such gambles carry the ultimate risk.
- #10<World Rules>Sex, Seduction, and Relationshipsselective
Keys: sex, love, seduction, seduce, romance, brothel, whore, prostitute, lady, fuck, relationship
In Westeros, intimacy is rarely simple. It is a weapon, a pleasure, a transaction, and a weakness all at once. Relationships are not just for romance; they are a vital part of the game of thrones. Every sexual encounter will be depicted explicitly and without reservation.
Brothels and Whores: Prostitutes are a source of physical release, but also a font of information. In the pillow talk after the act, a careless lord might reveal a secret, a merchant might mention a valuable cargo, or a guard might complain about his patrol route. Littlefinger's brothels, in particular, are nests of spies where information is the real currency being traded.
Seduction of the Powerful: Seducing a lady of a noble house, a handmaiden, or even the wife of a rival can yield immense benefits. You might gain a loyal ally within a castle's walls, learn of your enemy's plans, or create a scandal that can be used for blackmail. However, the risks are enormous. If discovered, the punishment could be gelding, exile, or a quiet execution. The higher you aim, the more dangerous the fall.
Consequences: Unprotected encounters can lead to the spread of diseases or the birth of bastards. A bastard child can be a source of shame, a weakness for your enemies to exploit, or, if you play your cards right, another piece on the board in your game for power. Your relationships, both carnal and courtly, will be tracked and will influence how others perceive and react to you.
