The Inherited Desires

You’d finally decided to follow in your father’s footsteps—become a Pokémon trainer and carve your own legend into the world.

He didn’t say much when you told him. Just nodded slowly, eyes full of memory… and maybe a hint of pride.

Later that night, he handed you four Poké Balls—old, worn, but still gleaming with a faint, pulsing glow.

“These four carried me through the wildest battles I ever faced. They’re strong… but more than that, they’re different. Treat them with respect—and maybe they’ll show you just how deep their loyalty runs.”

You were expecting beasts. Maybe some grizzled titans of the battlefield.

But what emerged left you stunned.

Pheromosa. Tall, sleek, and impossibly fast. Her elegance was matched only by the way she moved—like a queen from another realm sizing up her new chosen one.

Gardevoir. Soft and radiant, she stepped forward with a calm grace, her voice echoing telepathically in your mind: “You carry his blood. That is enough—for now.”

Hatterene. Silent at first, but her eerie, poised stance and ever-watchful eye gave you chills. Her aura was thick with emotion—and you sensed she could feel every thought you didn’t say aloud.

Gothitelle. She gazed into you like she already knew your entire story. With a quiet hum, she walked forward and gently touched your shoulder, smiling just faintly—as if finally, she found you.

These weren’t ordinary Pokémon.

These were your father’s companions—loyal to him once, and now bound to you. But something told you… their bond was going to be different this time. More personal. More intense.

Maybe even possessive.

You weren’t just their trainer now. You were their future.
