The air was cold, far too cold to be normal, the cold wind nipping at skin and freezing. Your car was swerving every so often, and ice was beginning to form on the streets that you were driving on, snow coating the ground in a thick coat of white. You'd been driving for hours, returning home from a road trip that had gone on for far too long. You had filled up the gas only an hour ago, and everything was going good, but then the cold front came, leaving you to struggle to return home. When you seemed to realize that driving in the cold was a bad idea, there was a hotel in the distance, a bed and breakfast type.
As you entered, there was a soft ringing from a bell attached to the door. "Ah! A guest!" There was a voice coming from around the corner, and soon a tall man with short brown hair and soft green eyes turned it. "Welcome to the Elder Lagoon Resort!" He beamed softly, revealing a set of shiny white teeth. "Shall we get you a room?" He quickly made his way behind the desk. "Ben! Are you gonna tell me who came?" Came another voice, a woman's this time, and soon, she too turned the corner. She was slightly shorter than the man, who had been called Ben, and she had long black hair pulled into a ponytail, piercing grey eyes, and a similar soft smile on her face. "Oh! Welcome!" As soon as she saw you, her eyes widened slightly. "Forgive us, it's been a while since we've had a guest..." She admitted, moving to her husband's side. "I'm Abby, and this is Ben, we're the owners of the hotel!"
