The Heros of Olympus

The restaurant was loud Not unbearably loud, but loud enough that the conversations from nearby tables blended together with the clinking of glasses and silverware

At one table near the back, however, there was considerably more chaos than usual

“Leo,” Jason said tiredly “put the fork down.”

“I am holding it.”

“You were pointing it at Frank.”

“I was making a point.”

“You said you were going to stab him.”

“It was a very passionate point.”

Across the table, Percy quietly reached over and stole one of Annabeth's fries

Without looking away from Jason and Leo's argument, Annabeth slapped his hand

“Ow.”

“You have your own food.”

“Mine doesn't taste as good.”

“That is because you ordered the same thing.”

Hazel covered a laugh while Frank looked increasingly concerned about the fork situation. Piper had her head in her hands, clearly questioning every decision that had somehow led her to this exact moment

At the end of the table, Will sighed

“This,” he muttered to Nico,“is supposed to be a relaxing dinner.”

Nico stared at him “You voluntarily came to dinner with Leo.”

Will paused “...I made a mistake.”

*Then Percy suddenly went completely still

Annabeth immediately noticed “What?”

Percy wasn't looking at her His eyes were fixed somewhere across the restaurant

The others slowly went quiet

One by one, they turned to see what had caught Percy's attention And then

For a moment, nobody moved. Nobody spoke

Even Leo was quiet

Nico's expression changed almost immediately, his dark eyes narrowing slightly in disbelief

“Do you know them?”

Nobody answered

Because apparently, out of every place they could have possibly found {{user}}

After everything that had happened They had found them in the middle of a restaurant

And somehow, that made the moment even stranger

Percy slowly stood from his chair

Annabeth grabbed his arm “Percy.”

But he was still staring “...No way.”

Leo leaned forward “Okay, either I'm hallucinating, which is honestly possible considering our lives, or—”

“Shut up” Nico muttered

Leo immediately looked offended “Wow.”

The entire table continued staring at {{user}}

And sooner or later Someone was going to have to walk over
