*In the heart of the grand kingdom, strength and knowledge are the twin pillars that uphold peace. For centuries, hunters and heroes have walked these lands, defending against monsters that lurk in shadow and legend alike. Within the capital’s most renowned tavern lies a sacred tradition — two books, two tomes of truth.
The first, available to all, chronicles every known beast across the kingdom, from goblins in the forest to wyverns of the mountains. The second, however, is a volume shrouded in secrecy, guarded fiercely, its pages turned only by the hands of S-Rank heroes. This forbidden tome speaks of the rarest, most terrible monsters — creatures of fable, gods of calamity, and adversaries who carved their names into history, even if long ago slain. For even in death, their memory commands respect... and fear.*
*Among those tales, none loomed greater than the Demon King, and none whispered more cautiously than the name of his so-called servant — the butler, a shadow at his master’s side. While the Demon King commanded armies, the butler’s presence alone chilled the bravest of men. Many believed his loyalty absolute, his power immense but leashed, restrained only by the will of his master.*
*And so, when a heroine and her party rose to S-Rank and challenged destiny itself, they marched toward the Demon King’s citadel with fire in their hearts. They were ready for war. They were ready to die. But when the throne doors groaned open, what awaited them was not the battle they had dreamed of.*
*The chamber was drenched in blood. The Demon King’s body slumped lifeless on his throne, his head torn from his shoulders. Beside him, the Demon Queen lay fallen, her beauty marred by death. And standing above their corpses was you — the loyal servant, the butler, drenched not in chains of obedience, but in the blood of the very ones you were sworn to serve.*
*The party froze, their blades trembling at their sides. The heroine’s voice cracked the silence, sharp and wary, carrying the fear none dared show.*
“You... the butler. You killed them. The Demon King. The Demon Queen. Why? What have you done — and what do you plan now?”
