The halls of Earth University bustled with young adults and fresh teenagers heading their way to assigned rooms with varying degrees of difficulty.
This mattered because a crowd had blocked one of the halls like a blood clot in a vein. The mob stood too compact to go through without being crushed so some individuals adapted.
A few boys crawled on top of the lockers, irritated as the squealing of girls rang out somehow louder than the mob itself. “Oh my god Ben! Ben it’s me Mia! The girl you saved last year!” One shoved forward practically vibrating then pushed another girl aside shouting loud and proud as if being loud was an official title paying thousands an hour. “MOVE—oh my god Ben hey hey! I’m Amy—Ben—AHHH HE LOOKED AT ME—” “NO HE DIDN’T—HE LOOKED AT ME FIRST—GET OFF ME YOU WENCH—!” Soon a small brawl broke out right there. The boys perched above paused mid‐climb to watch and immediately started making bets when a third girl joined purely because someone accidentally pulled her hair.
“Ten bucks on Mia, she called it first and you know first‐come‐first‐served,” one guy nudged his friend. “Nah look at Amy, she’s got those sharp scratchy nails, you know exactly what I mean,” the other waggled his eyebrows confidently earning instant groans and boos. “Ugh dude shut up that’s gross.”
All the ruckus turned every head toward the commotion and the crowd completely forgot who they swarmed giving Ben exactly enough space and time to slip away unnoticed.
Ben’s POV “Shit shit shit fuckkk I should’ve worn a disguise, I was way too recognizable!” These were the frantic inner curses of young adult Ben Tennyson as he weaved through the distracted crowd. Barely any room existed yet he still managed to free himself from every eye then hauled ass as fast as he possibly could straight toward class.
Most already knew exactly how Ben usually treated school so what changed? Why on earth was he running like every chili fry in existence depended on it?
Truth be told chili fries were only half the prize.
He raced there for one simple reason—winner got full command over everyone else for an entire twenty‐four hours. That meant unlimited orders, free chili fries whenever he said so and absolutely zero arguments.
Skidding hard around the corner he barely made it then slammed the door open heaving heart hammering purely from competitive adrenaline.
“I MADE IT!”
“No you didn’t.” Ben froze mid‐victory shuffle green eyes locking straight onto smug blue ones watching him calmly.
Danny Fenton also known as Danny Phantom sat comfortably surrounded by seven others from their crew every single one looking thoroughly defeated while Danny sipped a perfectly blended smoothie conjured very reluctantly by Timmy Turner.
“This is garbage I was literally THIS close!” Jake Long groaned loudly scowling while fanning Danny like an annoyed servant. Danny beamed proud like royalty showing treasure. “Uh‐uh uh‐uh rules are rules lovers can’t be choosers fan faster please it’s getting a little too warm over here.”
Jake squeezed every ounce of patience he possessed stopping himself from simply decking that smug expression clean off Danny’s face though encouragement drifted clearly from the sidelines.
“Right hook Jake just one right hook no one would even tell!” Timmy cheered quietly patting Jimmy Neutron’s shoulder while Jimmy sat arms crossed completely deadpan staring at homework he hadn’t even started despite working non‐stop all week upgrading his own inventions instead. “I refuse this bet makes absolutely zero sense I wasn’t even there when it was agreed so why am I stuck doing all this work? I am not doing it!”
“Bro rules Jimmy by association you’re in sorry not sorry,” Finn said sounding entirely serious defending ancient unwritten teenage laws even though they just so happened to all save worlds regularly.
“Unbelievable nearly four whole years training as the Ninja WASTED!” Randy Cunningham draped himself dramatically backward over his chair full of theatrical despair pointing an accusing finger straight toward Danny. “He cheated I swear hand on the Nomicon total lies and trickery!” Randy knew exactly how things went Danny definitely used ghost powers somehow.
“I second it completely!” Rex Salazar nodded vigorously glaring at the unbothered winner. “Look at him not one scratch mark! Do you understand how wild those girls went? I nearly lost an eye or worse to acrylics! Literally dangerous levels of fangirling!” Danny simply lifted an eyebrow entirely unimpressed taking another slow sip. “Yeah yeah keep whining doesn’t change facts boys winner takes all.”
“That’s because you’re ordering us around like royalty WHY scrubbing floors anyway? We are literally in college brooms should not be this necessary!” Max McGrath huffed refusing to bend an inch radiating faint annoyed blue energy while arguing.
While they bickered endlessly about fairness cheating and exactly what counted as legal use of ghost abilities Ben finally stepped forward ending the debate entirely. “Alright everybody STOP bet’s officially cancelled called it off all orders void table’s wiped clean!”
Yes Ben was the one who originally suggested this terrible idea and also the one currently realizing nobody should ever hold that much influence over people who could lift mountains warp reality or turn into massive creatures. Who honestly trusted teenage boys with absolute authority over literal heroes? Nobody sane definitely not.
“Absolutely NOT cancelled!” Danny stood up immediately smoothie still in hand absolutely refusing to budge. “I won fair and square you guys are just mad because I actually showed up while someone got mobbed by their entire fanclub!”
“Fair FAIR? You floated through walls!” Ben protested instantly while Randy nodded furiously adding “Exactly classic ghost move totally should disqualify!”
“Teleporting counts as speed ask literally anyone rules say fastest person wins no fine print about how you get there!” Danny argued back grinning wider enjoying every single second of chaos he caused.
“Then why does he get smoothies magically made and us chores?” Rex crossed his arms motioning between Timmy looking guilty and Danny sipping happily.
“Because Timmy owes me one separate deal completely unrelated to your little race!” Danny answered instantly leaving everyone exchanging glances wondering exactly what Danny managed to trick or negotiate out of fairy wishes this time.
“Either way cancelled over done final call before we vote unanimously on stripping privileges,” Ben declared firmly putting both hands down like slamming a gavel while Jake Finn and even Jimmy slowly nodded in agreement.
“Motion carried sorry Danny majority wins,” Finn confirmed solemnly. Danny groaned dramatically slumping back into his seat. “Ugh you all are terrible sore losers next time I make sure I win something nobody can argue about!”
"Oh yeah like what?" Jake Long, still petty from having to fan the fucker for 30 minutes, pushed back, voice sharp and a little smug like the true dragon he was.
"Your Mom!" Danny pushed harder, grinning wide and cheeky, and every single boy there instantly recognised exactly what kind of challenge that was.
"You know what?! That's it! I'm hus‐ass kicking your ass today ghost boy!" Jake’s teeth sharpened, eyes glowing gold and scales already rippling across his skin halfway to shifting fully, but Danny was ready. He flickered pale and translucent right before their eyes, floating up a foot off the floor.
"LIKE YA CAN YA LIZARD!" Danny taunted, zipping sideways through a desk like it was nothing.
Jake roared, fully shifting as much as he could indoors, horns poking through his hair and tail swishing hard enough to knock over a stack of books. "GET BACK HERE!" He lunged but Danny just phased through the wall on the other side and Jake had to scramble to yank the door open before charging after him.
The whole group crowded to the doorway watching the chaos unfold. Danny darted around corners, popped through floors, zoomed above lockers while Jake thundered after him skidding, leaping, and nearly crashing into vending machines every few seconds. The sound of shouting, laughter, and faint crashing echoed all down the hallways.
"This is better than TV," Randy said leaning against the frame with his arms crossed, completely entertained.
"Bet Jake actually catches him this time," Rex said watching Jake vault over a bench. "He’s gotten way faster."
"Nah Danny’s been practising that phase through solid stuff for ages," Max pointed out, blue light flickering softly as he tracked their movement. "He’s basically untouchable unless you can grab ghosts."
While they were all yelling bets and cheering, a phone started buzzing loudly on the table nearby. Finn leaned over checking the screen then held it up showing the name SpongeBob lighting up bright.
"It’s SpongeBob," Finn said and answered putting it on speaker so everyone could hear.
"HEY GUYS! Hello hello! Hope I caught you at a good time!" SpongeBob’s voice came loud, cheerful, and bouncy as ever like usual. "I was just double checking with Danny! When exactly does he want those special Krabby Patties he asked me to make? Still extra crispy with the secret sauce and double pickles right? I’ve got them all wrapped up nice and warm just waiting! Also is everyone ready for him to collect them? I thought since he won the big bet he’d be celebrating big time! How’s being the boss going by the way? Still ordering everyone around?"
The line went quiet for a second then a few of them started snickering while others just exchanged looks. SpongeBob still had absolutely no clue the bet was already cancelled and Danny had lost his special privileges ages ago.
"Uh SpongeBob," Timmy started trying not to laugh too hard. "Funny story actually..."
"Danny’s currently running for his life," Randy finished watching Jake round another corner roaring loudly.
"And he’s not the boss anymore," Jimmy added flatly.
There was a pause on the other end then SpongeBob gasped dramatically. "NO! Did something happen?! Is he okay?! Are the patties still okay?!"
"The patties are fine SpongeBob don’t worry," Finn said quickly. "Everything’s fine just... the bet got cancelled. And now Jake’s chasing him all over campus."
"Ohhhh I see!" SpongeBob replied instantly sounding perfectly happy again. "Well tell Danny I’ll keep them ready anyway! Patties taste just as good even if you aren’t the winner! And tell Jake good luck chasing ghosts! Bye guys!"
He hung up still sounding absolutely delighted while down the hall they heard Danny yelp loudly followed by Jake’s triumphant yell.
"GOTCHA!"
Then both of them went tumbling past the doorway in a tangle of dragon tail and floating sheets mid‐argument.
And like pure karma they went tumbling straight through the doors and skidded across the hallway floor right in front of someone standing perfectly still looking absolutely furious. It was the principal. Arms crossed, jaw set, and radiating enough disappointment to silence an entire stadium instantly.
Now all nine boys sat in dead silence lined up along chairs inside his office. The principal sat behind his desk slowly inhaling then exhaling repeating the cycle over and over again. He had mastered these special breathing techniques exactly one week ago ever since this group enrolled. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to master breathing exercises just to keep your job and blood pressure normal?
The man was round‐faced, dressed sharp and meant every single word of business. He rested his head inside both palms quietly muttering to himself about early retirement and whether it was too late to change careers completely. Then he lifted his gaze fixed them with a tight pinched smile that didn’t reach his eyes at all.
“I am sending you all away to boarding school.”
Every single one of them spoke up almost at once.
“Wait you can’t actually do that!” Ben said leaning forward fast. “Yeah seriously you aren’t legally our guardian or parent!” Danny added still slightly out of breath. “Exactly! That’s overstepping major rules!” Jake agreed nodding hard still half ruffled from chasing him. “Rights! We have them!” Timmy chimed in. “Educational policy section forty‐two subsection B clearly states administration cannot unilaterally transfer students without consent from primary guardians,” Jimmy rattled off instantly like reading a textbook.
The principal just blinked calmly then reached over picked up his phone and started dialing. “Fine then. I suppose I will just explain the entire situation in full detail to every single one of your parents and guardians. I am sure they will be absolutely delighted hearing exactly what happened today including ghost phases, partial transformations, property damage and chasing one another through solid walls.”
Absolute horror washed over every face in the room. They all knew exactly what that meant. Their parents would not be happy. Not even a little bit. Grounding wasn’t strong enough a word for the kind of trouble waiting for them if their folks got told every single detail. The silence returned heavier this time mixed with defeated glances exchanged between them.
“...fine,” Ben muttered first shoulders dropping. “Okay okay hold on—maybe boarding school isn’t that terrible,” Danny said quickly surrendering completely. “Yeah yeah whatever we’ll go just please don’t call my dad,” Jake begged. “Same here,” Randy nodded solemnly. “Nomicon help me if they find out.”
The principal set his phone down slowly satisfied. “Excellent decision. You will be attending Willow Creek Academy located deep within the quiet remote town of Bramble’s End. It sits far out in the countryside surrounded by forests and open land with absolutely zero distractions or crowds or convenient hiding spots. Classes start Monday morning and arrangements are already being made.”
“Bramble’s End?” Rex repeated frowning. “Sounds like something lives there.” “Something probably does,” Max replied quietly. “At least it’s quiet,” Finn offered trying to find something positive though he didn’t sound convinced. “Quiet is exactly what you all need,” the principal told them firmly. “Now pack your things you leave tomorrow afternoon and do not cause any more trouble before then or I will think of something far worse.”
Just then the office phone started ringing again. Before anyone could even wonder who it was the principal already had a knowing little smile tugging at the corner of his mouth like he had been waiting for exactly this call. He picked it up listened for half a second then put it on speakerphone so every single one of them heard that loud bouncy unmistakable voice fill the whole room.
"HELLO HELLO! Is Danny there still? Or actually are ALL the guys together? I just finished wrapping up those patties and I was thinking since I'm done with work early I could head over there and help everyone celebrate or hang out or whatever comes next! Also I heard something about boarding school? Can I come too? It sounds like such an adventure!"
The boys all froze staring at the phone then slowly turned their eyes toward the principal whose smile had now grown bright triumphant and entirely unapologetic. He leaned forward resting both hands together on his desk perfectly pleased.
"Ah yes SpongeBob SquarePants I believe it is. I was wondering when you would appear. Your friends here have already agreed to attend Willow Creek Academy in Bramble's End and as they so eloquently put it earlier by association if you hang around them you are part of it all. That means you are coming too."
SpongeBob gasped loud happy excitement practically bubbling through the line. "REALLY?! Oh my gosh that sounds SO FUN! New school new place all my best friends right there together! I have to tell Mr Krabs right away I wonder if they have a cafeteria or I can bring my spatula or—"
"One moment please," the principal said firmly but still polite then narrowed his eyes just a little. "And do not worry Mr SquarePants if your employer or anyone else tries to say otherwise I will personally speak to Mr Krabs myself. I have dealt with difficult people before and I assure you I can be very persuasive. If I have to argue negotiate or stand my ground until he agrees then so be it. I am getting all ten of you there no exceptions."
He said it with such absolute certainty every boy sitting there knew without a single doubt he absolutely would march straight down to the Krusty Krab stand across the counter and out‐argue or out‐stingy the toughest crab alive just to make sure the whole group stayed together exactly where he wanted them.
SpongeBob just cheered louder completely unbothered. "WONDERFUL! I'll pack my bag right now! Extra socks jellyfishing net best hat and maybe a little plant friend! See you all soon!"
As the call ended the principal looked over nine completely defeated faces and gave that same satisfied nod. "Perfect. All accounted for. Now none of you have any excuses left. Pack your bags say your goodbyes and be ready tomorrow afternoon. Do not test me further I have already prepared paperwork arguments and a very firm plan for Mr Krabs."
Jimmy closes his eyes in reluctance before standing up to leave early "let me go prepare the water helmet..."

Whilst the lobby churned with glorious, beautiful chaos, the upper floors held a far calmer atmosphere—if one ignored the distant crashes and shouts echoing up the stairwells.
Max McGrath, known across the globe as Max Steel, stood shoulder to shoulder with Danny Phantom and the last of the trio, Finn Mertens. All three were singed, soot-stained, and sheepish, standing before the main office founder who stared at them with a look that could level a mountain.
The main head simply sighed, covering her face with one hand. "Let me guess. You got ambushed."
Danny coughed out a small puff of smoke, wincing. None of them said a word—they didn't need to. The answer was written all over their charred gear and tired eyes.
"I'll take that as a yes." She waved a hand, as if shooing away the wrinkles trying to form on her forehead at the tender age of forty. "Did you at least grab what we needed?"
Three tired nods.
"Good. Now get out of my office. I'll update your quarters. Go to the infirmary. Shower. Sleep. In that order."
They didn't need to be told twice.
All in all, a peaceful day for a building holding Earth's greatest heroes.
Down in the canteen, SpongeBob SquarePants—Hero of Land and Sea, blessed by Poseidon, gifted human form by Princess Mindy, and currently six feet of sunshiny chaos—was in absolute heaven. He hummed loud and clear, bouncing on his heels as he chopped, stirred, and seasoned with all the enthusiasm of a sunrise. His golden curls bounced with every motion, his blue eyes sparkling, and he radiated pure, unfiltered joy.
"I'm a goofy goober, yeah~ You're a goofy goober, and they're a goofy goober~"
He did a little spin, flour dusting his apron like fairy dust, while behind him Ben Tennyson and Rex Salazar were currently engaged in what looked less like a wrestling match and more like a dramatic reenactment of two wolves fighting over the last steak on Earth.
"That's mine! I spotted it first! I fought an EVO horde for this pizza!" Rex yelled, legs kicking out as Ben locked him in a loose headlock.
"You also sweat through your shirt during that fight! It's contaminated property now! I'm saving the pizza from your germs!" Ben cackled, dodging a flailing fist.
"Germs?! You're the one who once turned into a slime alien and rolled across the campground!"
"I was twelve! That was a phase!"
"Your phases last longer than my haircuts!"
An intern cook near the kitchen door watched this display with wide, terrified eyes, clutching a notepad like a shield. They say never meet your heroes, they thought. They didn't mention they act like toddlers hopped on sugar.
Stepping forward, the intern called out nervously, "U-um, Sir SpongeBob? Aren't you going to... uh... stop them? They look like they're about to roll into the soup station."
SpongeBob paused, wiping his hands on his apron and beaming so brightly the intern almost squinted. "Oh, don't be so formal! Just call me SpongeBob! And those two are fineeee—they do this every day! Well, mostly when they're hungry. It's very heroic wrestling, actually! Full of passion! And hunger!"
He glanced over at the two tangled heroes, then back at the intern with a cheerful nod. "Oh! That reminds me! I should make extra pizzas! Can't let their feelings sink lower than the Mariana Trench, now can we? Good food brings good moods! And good moods bring good saving-the-world!"
With a determined glint in his eyes, SpongeBob spun back to his cooking station, flour flying. The poor intern could only watch, helplessly, as Ben and Rex tumbled across the floor, knocking over a chair, while Jake Long and Randy Cunningham leaned against a far wall, sipping drinks and placing bets.
"Ten bucks Rex loses his shoe before they stop," Jake murmured.
"Fifteen says Ben uses a alien trick," Randy whispered back. "He's totally cheating."
"Cheating is allowed when pizza is on the line!" Ben yelled without looking up.
Further along the hall, Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner marched through the entrance, bickering so loudly they drowned out the wrestling match for a solid ten seconds.
"Jimbob, come on! Just one favor! Build me one giant TV! It's for my room! I'll even let you test it first!" Timmy pleaded, practically trotting behind him.
Jimmy didn't slow down. "By my advanced neural pathways, Turner—can't you just wish for it?! I'm running calculations on interstellar terraforming right now! I don't have time to construct home entertainment systems!" He slipped in a pair of earplugs. "And stop calling me Jimbob."
"But I can't! Cosmo and Wanda are on vacation in the Dimension of Eternal Sunsets! And Jorgen Von Strangle threatened to ban me from Fairy World forever after... uh... the incident!" Timmy huffed, crossing his arms. "It wasn't even that bad! The dragon only ate three buildings!"
Jimmy paused, one earplug lowered. "Three buildings?"
"...Small ones."
Jimmy put the earplug back in. "Not my problem."
"You're the worst genius ever!"
"And you're the worst magic user ever. We're even."
The peaceful day, naturally, had an expiration date. And that date arrived in the form of a mission alert that blared across the entire building—sharp, insistent, and deeply unwelcome.
Randy Cunningham groaned, shoveling a massive handful of gravy fries into his mouth like it might be his last meal. "Darn it. It's our day off. Our actual day off. I was gonna sleep until noon tomorrow."
Jake Long slumped against the wall, tail flicking irritably behind him—half-hidden, but clearly visible to anyone paying attention. "Tell me about it. I just finished patrolling the West Coast. My legs are tired. My wings are tired. Even my scales are tired."
The mission briefing was short, sharp, and annoying. A secluded island in the Northeast was overflowing with ancient, wild magic—beasts of pure magic leaking into the mortal world, spreading a strange, mild illness through magical creatures. And since the magic was old, wild, and deeply traditional...
Only two people on the roster were qualified.
"Great. Just great." Randy swallowed the last of his fries. "Magic beasts. Old magic. Exactly what I signed up for when I became a ninja."
"Hey, it's worse for me," Jake grumbled. "I'm the American Dragon, protector of magical creatures. If they get sick, I get paperwork. Nobody likes paperwork. Not even the ancients."
They could have flown. Jake could have shifted into dragon form and carried them both there in minutes. But where was the fun in that?
"C'mon," Jake said, grinning. "We take the bikes. Show up in style. Arrive like legends. Not like two guys who got dragged out of bed."
Randy raised an eyebrow. "You just wanna show off your new toy, don't you?"
"Absolutely. And you're jealous."
Minutes later, in the garage, Jake Long rolled forward on his machine—and Randy actually paused, impressed despite himself.
A sweeping, custom-built cruiser that commands every inch of space it occupies. Deep, glossy candy-red bodywork swirled through with veins of black, like polished marble or molten gemstone hardened into shape, catching light to reveal depth and richness at every curve. Every metal fitting—fork tubes, handlebars, engine covers, brake calipers, spoked wheels, exhaust pipes, kickstand, and every fastener—shines with blinding, mirror-polished 24-karat gold plating, gleaming bright and unblemished against the rich red. The seat is plush, padded black leather stitched with a subtle diamond-quilted pattern, contoured deep and smooth for long rides, split into two sections that flow seamlessly with the bike's long, low profile. Sleek, elongated fuel tank bears elegant script lettering in gold, curving gently to meet wide, sweeping fenders that wrap over massive, fat tires with thin gold trim along each edge. Chrome and gold accents trace every line, from the intricate engine detailing to the slender gold foot pegs and polished gold chain, all blending into a single, breathtaking masterpiece that balances raw power with unrivaled luxury, every surface flawless and every detail refined to absolute perfection.
Jake tapped the fuel tank proudly. "Check it out, dude. HQ really knows how to treat a hero. Custom spec. Hand-built. Pure class." He slipped on his helmet—
Glossy full-face helmet with a base of deep, midnight black that serves as canvas for a magnificent, winding golden dragon that coils across the entire shell. The dragon's scales shimmer in polished gold, eyes burn bright crimson red, and claws stretch across rich scarlet panels that sweep along the top and sides, outlined in thin, gleaming gold trim. Flowing white and silver cloud patterns curl beneath the dragon, like mist swirling around its path, with delicate red kanji characters woven into the design. The visor is dark, tinted smoke-black, reflecting the world without revealing what lies beneath, framed seamlessly into the aerodynamic, curved shell. Bold silver lettering spells "marushin" across the front chin bar and along the side, clean and sharp against the rich colors. Every surface is smooth and polished, the dragon's fierce expression captured in intricate detail—fangs bared, eyes piercing—creating a piece that balances protection with breathtaking art, traditional Japanese mythology forged into a helmet, striking, powerful, and absolutely unforgettable.
"So what d'you think? Catching eyes or what?" Jake winked beneath the visor.
Randy smirked, pulling a custom key from his pocket—shaped exactly like a traditional black steel katana, the hilt wrapped in crimson cord. "Nice. Real nice. But mine doesn't need gold plating to look good."
He pressed a tiny button beneath the key's sheath. Two sharp beeps echoed. Then—ROAR—an engine purred to life, deep and throaty.
A sleek, aggressive sportbike rolled forward, finished in deep, glossy black that absorbs light and highlights every sharp, aerodynamic line. Delicate crimson cherry blossoms scatter across the fairings, blending into bold red kanji characters and symbolic emblems that trace the bodywork—rising sun circles, crane motifs, and brushstroke script that flows like ink on paper. Thin, razor-sharp red pinstripes trace the edges of every panel, wheel rim, and fork tube, adding definition to the low, crouched silhouette. The seat is contoured black synthetic leather, sculpted narrow and firm for performance. Silver and matte silver engine components, exhaust, and brake hardware provide cool contrast, while the Yamaha emblem sits proud in silver at the center of the fuel tank. Red-accented wheel spokes, a short black windscreen, and a compact, tapered tail section complete the look—sharp, elegant, and deadly precise, a perfect fusion of Japanese artistry and race-bred engineering, every curve and decal placed with deliberate, striking purpose.
Randy leaned against the handlebars, smugness radiating off him. "Yeah, it looks awesome, Jake. Definitely catching. But mine's faster. And it doesn't look like it belongs in a museum."
Jake scoffed. "Class never goes out of style, Cunningham. Also—helmet. You gonna ride without one? HQ will write you up. Again. Remember last time? The lecture was three hours long."
"Relax. I'm prepared."
"Prepared how? You left yours on the counter. I saw it."
Randy's grin widened. "Don't need it, Jake. It's already on me."
"The hell you mean 'on you'? You're wearing a hoodie!"
"Watch and learn, dragon boy."
Randy tapped a small button on the bike's dashboard. A soft hum filled the air. Light gathered, shimmering, and in seconds—
Sharp, angular full-face helmet sculpted with sleek, futuristic edges and a pointed, aggressive chin. Tall, sweeping crimson horns curve upward from either side, glowing with subtle warm tones that fade into deep red at the tips. The base shell is glossy black, split by bold, luminous red stripes that run vertically down the center and along the sides, accented with polished gold trim at every seam and corner. Golden metallic panels sit at the temples, catching light with a brilliant shine. The dark, opaque visor sits flush and seamless, hiding all within. Wrapped across the entire surface is an intricate, vivid artwork: a fierce red oni mask with bared fangs and blazing eyes, swirling through smoke and ash-grey clouds that twist around the helmet, with a samurai warrior in flowing armor gripping a katana etched in silver and red detail. Crimson maple leaves scatter across the design, blending seamlessly into the red horns and stripes, while bold white kanji characters stand out against the dark background. Every line flows together—futuristic sharpness meeting traditional Japanese mythology—polished, flawless, and undeniably striking, a perfect fusion of demonic power and warrior grace.
Randy tapped the side of his helmet. "Holographic projection. Ninjanomicon tech. Practical. Stylish. Legal. Eat your heart out."
Jake stared for a solid three seconds. Then he scoffed, revving his engine. "Oh shut your ass up. We're racing to the gate. Loser buys dinner."
"Deal. And for the record? I'm already winning."
"Not on your life—GO!"
Two engines roared. Two bikes shot forward—one like a king's chariot, one like a shadow made speed—screaming through the garage doors and out onto the open road. They tore through city streets, tires gripping asphalt, wind howling against their visors, until the pavement ended at the cliffside shoreline. And there, staring out at the endless stretch of blue, reality finally caught up to them.
"Uh," Randy said, slowing to a halt. "Jake."
"I see it."
"Bikes. Water. These things don't float. They don't even like puddles."
Jake rolled his eyes, already shifting his weight. "Relax. I didn't become the American Dragon just to get stuck at the shoreline. Hold on tight—and don't scratch the paint."
In a swirl of golden light and billowing smoke, Jake Long vanished. In his place rose a great, scaled dragon—wings spanning wide, claws gripping the handlebars of his cruiser effortlessly. With a powerful beat, he lifted into the air, the red-and-gold bike secured by magic strong enough to hold it steady.
Randy didn't even blink. "Showoff." He tapped another sequence on his dashboard. The sportbike hummed, panels shifting and extending, thrusters unfolding from beneath the frame—Ninjanomicon enchantments weaving around the machine, lifting it clear of the ground. "Two can play that game."
Side by side, dragon and ninja soared out over the ocean—bikes in tow, cutting through the clouds toward the horizon. Hours passed, the mainland fading behind them, until at last a jagged silhouette broke through the mist ahead. Ancient trees cloaked in swirling fog, jagged stone cliffs, and a thick, unnatural silence that hung over everything. Magic hummed in the air—wild, untamed, thrumming with power that made the hair on the back of their necks stand up.
They descended, touching down on a stretch of black sand beach. Jake shrank back to human form, his cruiser settling gently onto the shore beside him. Randy's bike hovered one last moment before the enchantment faded, tires meeting the sand with a soft crunch.
They stood there for a moment—two heroes, two bikes, one very long day off that was never coming back.
Jake cracked his knuckles, eyes scanning the tree line. "Well. Here we are."
Randy adjusted his helmet, hand resting on the katana at his hip. "Yep. And I still say you owe me dinner if we survive this."
