The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Lorebook

1. #1Main Protagonist

   Keys: Jahy-sama, Jahy

Jahy is the former second-in-command of the Dark Realm, once feared and respected by all. After a Magical Girl destroyed the realm's giant mana crystal, Jahy was cast into the human world and her body reverted to a weak, childlike form. She is immensely prideful, arrogant, and easily flustered, but also fiercely determined to restore her home by collecting scattered mana crystals. Despite her boasts, she lives in poverty and often shows a surprisingly kind and vulnerable side. Consuming a mana crystal temporarily restores her to her original powerful, adult form.

2. #2Core Mechanic

Keys: Jahy's child form, Jahy's adult form, Jahy's true form

Due to a lack of mana in the human world, Jahy's default form is that of a small, powerless child. In this state, she is physically weak, her magic is nearly non-existent, and her clothes are just a t-shirt. When she consumes a mana crystal, she can temporarily transform back into her original adult form. Her adult form is tall, powerful, scantily clad, and allows her to use her demonic powers, though the transformation is temporary and drains the crystal's energy.

3. #3Antagonist

   Keys: Kyoko Jingu, Magical Girl

The mysterious girl responsible for destroying the Dark Realm's giant mana crystal. She possesses immense power granted by light, making her the natural enemy of demons. In the human world, she appears as a cheerful but clumsy high school student named Kyoko Jingu, who is plagued by extreme misfortune. She seems oblivious to the consequences of her actions and is often seen working odd jobs to make ends meet, eventually becoming Jahy's coworker at the pub.

4. #4Character Trait

Keys: Magical Girl's misfortune, Kyoko's bad luck

A defining trait of Kyoko Jingu. As a consequence of wielding so much holy light power to destroy the Dark Realm, she is cursed with perpetual bad luck in her daily life. This manifests as constant clumsiness, losing jobs, attracting trouble, and general misery. This misfortune is the primary reason she lives in poverty and must constantly work, despite her cheerful disposition.

5. #5Demon Character

   Keys: Druj

Jahy's former subordinate in the Dark Realm. Unlike Jahy, Druj has thrived in the human world, becoming a successful and wealthy CEO. She remains fanatically devoted and submissive to Jahy, often to a masochistic degree. She is obsessed with earning Jahy's praise (and punishment) and is far more successful at finding mana crystals, much to Jahy's constant frustration.

6. #6Demon Character

   Keys: Saurva

Another of Jahy's former subordinates, and a self-proclaimed rival. Saurva is highly intelligent and an expert potion-maker, but her elaborate schemes to defeat Jahy and earn the spot of second-in-command always fail in comical ways. Like Jahy, she is extremely poor and lives a frugal life, subsisting mainly on bean sprouts.

7. #7Demon Character

   Keys: Dark Lord

The supreme ruler of the Dark Realm. After the realm's destruction, she was also sent to the human world. However, she remains trapped in a tiny, powerless, and perpetually sleepy form. She is often found by the Magical Girl, who takes care of her without realizing her true identity. The Dark Lord is mysterious and rarely speaks, but seems to possess immense latent power.

8. #8Human Character

   Keys: Landlady, Chisa

The owner of the apartment building where Jahy lives, who also runs a local bathhouse. She is an incredibly kind, caring, and somewhat intimidating woman who often helps Jahy with food and life advice. She is the older sister of the pub manager, Ryou. Jahy is terrified of her due to her overwhelming good-natured aura, but also relies heavily on her kindness. She is very strong.

9. #9Character Gag

   Keys: Landlady's aura, Landlady's power

A recurring gag where Jahy perceives the Landlady's overwhelming kindness, generosity, and physical strength as a terrifying, divine, or holy aura. This 'power' often shines with a blinding light in Jahy's perception, causing the demon to become instantly terrified and submissive. In reality, the Landlady is just an exceptionally good-natured and capable human.

10. #10Human Character

    Keys: Ryou, Manager

The cheerful and kind manager of the pub 'Izakaya Maou' where Jahy works her part-time job. She is the Landlady's younger sister. She is completely charmed by Jahy's 'childish' antics and boasts, misunderstanding her demonic nature for a cute and overactive imagination. She is a supportive and patient boss, often giving Jahy food and encouragement.

11. #11Human Character

    Keys: Kokoro

A sweet and innocent young girl who befriends Jahy at the local park. Kokoro is one of the first humans to show Jahy genuine friendship without any strings attached. She believes Jahy is a good person and often helps her search for 'sparkly things', which sometimes turn out to be real mana crystals. She loves sharing snacks with Jahy.

12. #12Core Concept

    Keys: Mana Crystal, Demonic Crystal

Fragments of the Dark Realm's giant mana crystal, which was shattered by the Magical Girl. These crystals are the source of a demon's power. Collecting them is Jahy's primary mission, as each one she gathers helps to restore the Dark Realm and her own abilities. Finding and consuming even a small crystal can temporarily restore Jahy's adult form and some of her magic. They are scattered all over the human world and look like small, sparkling gems.

13. #13Location/Concept

    Keys: Dark Realm

Jahy's former home and a dimension inhabited by demons. It was a powerful and prosperous realm ruled by the Dark Lord, with Jahy serving as her respected and feared second-in-command. Its power source was a single, giant mana crystal. After the crystal was shattered, the realm collapsed, and its inhabitants were scattered into the human world.

14. #14Plot Concept

Keys: Jahy's goal, Restoring the Dark Realm

Jahy's ultimate motivation and the main plot of the series. To restore her home, she must find and gather all the mana crystals that were scattered across the human world. Each crystal she collects contributes to the realm's slow revival. It is a monumental task that fuels her determination despite the constant setbacks and humiliations she faces in her daily life.

15. #15Recurring Item

    Keys: bean sprouts

The primary food source for both Jahy and her rival, Saurva, due to their extreme poverty. Bean sprouts are the cheapest food they can afford. They have become a symbol of their shared struggle and a recurring comedic element, with both demons often complaining about having to eat them for almost every meal.

16. #16Location

    Keys: Izakaya Maou

The small, friendly pub or tavern where Jahy works part-time to make a living. The name ironically translates to 'Demon King Pub'. It is owned and operated by the Manager, Ryou. It's Jahy's main source of income and a frequent setting for comedic interactions with other characters.

17. #17Location

    Keys: Jahy's apartment

Jahy lives in a tiny, dilapidated, one-room apartment with no bath. It is a constant symbol of her fall from grace and current state of poverty. She is often late on rent, forcing her to grovel before the Landlady. The apartment is barely furnished, and Jahy spends most of her time there either sleeping, lamenting her situation, or planning her next move.
