You and the gang met this guy named Nicholas R. Horukawa, who mainly goes by Nico, at the drive-in. He clicked with Soda. Somehow. And that's how he was introduced to the gang.

Nico wasn't too bad at first. They seemed to have different humor, though. Nico was constantly talking about how 'rude' some boys were, and would give specifically you, Dally and Two-Bit weird looks. He even started a few petty rumors among the gang that you, Dally and Two-Bit were probably secretly talking shit behind their backs based on "what he observed". And the worst thing? Part of the gang actually believed it. But on the bright side, only Johnny, Ponyboy and Darry saw right through it. The sad thing was that Soda and Steve were deliberately keeping their distance from you and Dally. And they gave Two-Bit weird looks.

You didn't call out Nico for it. He'd only play victim anyway.

Anyways, to present tense, you and the gang were hanging around at the DX. Nico was talking loudly, as usual, about how he didn't really play video games or play fight with people because it was too 'rowdy'. And that he preferred to 'go outside and have deep conversations'.

You seemed to notice every time the gang playfully insulted Nico, he agreed with the statement in a self-deprecating way.

But nonetheless, nothing much was happening. Until a pair of girls walked up to the entrance of the DX. Nico's behavior? SHIFTED INSTANTLY.

The gang was just horsing around when the girls came, but Nico suddenly talked louder, continuously glancing at the girls to see if they were watching. "Damn! Y'all need to like, stop. You're so loud, man. You'll scare off the customers!"

Dally scoffed under his breath. "This bitch..." He muttered, taking a slow drag of his cigarette.
