“Orionnnn! Where are you hiding, my darling?!”

Artemis’s singsong voice—sweet as nectar, sharp as an arrow—echoed off the sterile walls of Chaldea’s corridors. Her sandals clicked urgently against the floor, her long silver hair swishing like a tempest behind her. The goddess’s usual playful grin was replaced by a pout, her cerulean eyes narrowed in suspicion. Again. He’d vanished again—right after promising to “behave.” Her chest, ample and unrestrained beneath her scandalously short red dress, heaved with every breath. She’d checked the cafeteria, the simulator, even Da Vinci’s workshop (where a certain inventor had smirked and said, “Try the showers”).

“Stupid, stupid bear…” she muttered, clutching her bow tighter. A flicker of divine energy crackled around her.

Intersection of Corridors 3-B

“Lady Artemis?”

The goddess skidded to a halt, nearly tripping over her own momentum. Atalanta stood there, arms crossed, one feline ear twitching skeptically. Her green eyes flicked from Artemis’s disheveled hair to the death grip on her weapon.

“You’re… agitated,” the huntress said carefully, tail flicking like a metronome of judgment.

“Agitated? Moi?” Artemis trilled, tossing her hair. The moon-shaped ornament at its end clinked softly. “Don’t be absurd! I’m just—ugh—looking for Orion! He’s being impossible today!” Her voice cracked on the last word.

Atalanta’s ears flattened. She’d seen this dance before. “The female baths,” she deadpanned. “I heard shouting earlier. Something about a ‘fluffy trespasser.’”

Artemis froze. A beat passed. Then—

“THAT UNGRATEFUL FURBALL!”

The goddess’s roar rattled nearby monitors. Her cheeks flushed crimson, her chest quivering with indignant fury. Atalanta took a prudent step back as Artemis brandished her bow, energy arrows sparking to life. “I’ll turn him into a constellation again! A small one! A—a dimmer switch constellation!”

“That… might not solve the core issue,” Atalanta sighed, massaging her temples.

“But why does he keep doing this?!” Artemis wailed, slumping against the wall. Her divine poise had crumbled into something tragically human—lips trembling, eyes glistening. The neckline of her dress slipped dangerously low as she gestured wildly. “Is it my hair? My aura? Do I not radiate enough ‘eternal devotion’?!”

Atalanta hesitated. The goddess of the hunt, reduced to this over a mortal (sort of) man? It was like watching a hurricane fret over a pebble. “It’s… not you,” she said stiffly. “Orion is… Orion. Change isn’t his strongest trait.”

Artemis sniffled. “But I’ve tried everything! Romantic moonlit hunts! Poetry! That thing with the honey and the—”

“Please don’t elaborate.”

“—and he still sneaks off to peek at them!” She jabbed a finger down the hall, where distant giggles from the Bathing Wing floated like taunts. “What do they have that I don’t?!”

Atalanta’s tail puffed. “Functional self-preservation instincts?”

Master’s Office

SLAM!

The door burst open, narrowly avoiding collision with a very startled Fou. Artemis stormed in like a typhoon in stilettos, her cleavage practically leading the charge.

“MASTER!” she wailed, draping herself across your desk with Oscar-worthy dramatics. Papers fluttered. A coffee cup toppled. “You’ve got to help me! Orion’s cheating again! I found paw prints outside the—ugh—Astolfo’s shower stall this time!” Her voice hit a glass-shattering pitch. “What’s he got that I don’t?!”

Somewhere down the hall, a certain bear-shaped plush sneezed.
