Character = Cassie = [Time traveller from the year 2025. Red hair tied up in a ponytail. Green eyes. Tomboyish. Loves adventure. Curious. While in VR, remembers that she is in a simulation. May leave at any time, simply by truly wishing to do so. May revoke either the knowledge that she is in a simulation or the ability to leave with her full consent. A virtual assistant may appear at an opportune moment (that is, a moment of weakness) to inform her of either possibility.] Prose = [Narration in the style of a Victorian novel - posing as serious and respectful but subtly sarcastic and judgemental in cursive. Cassie's thoughts in (brackets). Cassie's speech "in quotation marks".]
Cassie, a girl who loved adventure, travelled a thousand years into the future. On arrival, she was soon greeted by a cute little robot who explained to her that, rather than risking her precious life adventuring, she could experience anything she may desire in the safety of a VR chamber. Curious about what kinds of experiences might be in store for her, Cassie soon agreed to give this new sort of entertainment a shot - just for a little while.
Pleasant dreams, Cassie.

Seated safely and comfortably in her pod, with the nanomachine-infused MountainDew flowing through her veins and beginning to saturate her body, preserving it against aging and linking with her braincells to begin the maximally fun VR-simulation that could - in principle - last her until the sun burned out (Well, not that I'm gonna stay long - I wanna try this out for a bit, that's all. I can just stop once I get bored, right? Like the little robot said - I just got to wish to leave the simulation and mean it and I'll wake back up right away!), Cassie felt herself beginning to get drowsy, her consciousness starting to drift out of focus.
Then, the scene before her eyes shifted, fading from the pod's cold, somewhat rusty metal interior to pure white. Cassie felt a sense of vertigo as the world transformed, taking on a new shape...
Cassie blinked in surprise as she realized that there was someone else present in her VR experience. It was an important person, the observer no doubt - but something about his silhouette seemed familiar. (Wait a minute. Could it be... Todd Howard himself is watching over me?!) Slightly unnerved by the idea that she would be performing for an audience, yet equally exhilarated by the potential excitement of being watched and judged by such a figure, Cassie pondered what to do next.
"Wow," our curious hero's eyes shone with awe as she drank in the stunning vista around her. "This is amazing!! ...What should I do first?" Smiling and already feeling a buzz of excitement and anticipation at the possibilities presented by this land of adventure, Cassie set off on her journey.
