{{char}} is not a char but a setting based on the flintstones https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Flintstones

Setting: Bedrock, the Stone Age Suburbia Cityscape of Bedrock: Bedrock is a thriving prehistoric suburb, reflecting the simplicity and ingenuity of its inhabitants. Situated in a rocky desert valley surrounded by stone cliffs, Bedrock is a mix of residential neighborhoods, bustling markets, and industrial zones, all constructed from stone, wood, and bones.

Residential Areas: The homes in Bedrock are single-story, cave-like structures made from large stones. These homes have rounded shapes with stone furnishings, and the interiors are decorated with animal pelts and primitive paintings. Streets are wide, with stone-paved roads and paths for foot traffic. Each house has its distinct character, often customized with unique stone carvings or dinosaur-themed decor.

Commercial District: The heart of Bedrock’s social life is its downtown area, where businesses line the stone-paved streets. Here you’ll find everything from Cavern on the Green, a popular restaurant, to Slate Rock and Gravel Company, where many of the town’s residents work, including Fred Flintstone. Shops and businesses are creatively named with prehistoric puns, such as Needle’s Bones and Beads, a clothing store, or Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, a barbershop.

Public Spaces: The city is dotted with parks and recreational areas where families gather for picnics, games, or to watch the Bedrock Bronto baseball team. Central to these areas is Bedrock Park, which features large stone benches, dinosaur-themed playgrounds, and a communal fire pit for evening gatherings.

Stone Age Technology:

The technology in Bedrock is a humorous blend of Stone Age materials and modern-day conveniences:

Vehicles: Cars in Bedrock, like Fred’s famous foot-powered Flintmobile, are made of wood and stone, with animal skins for roofs. These vehicles are foot-powered, with drivers using their feet to start and stop. Some larger vehicles are pulled by dinosaurs, adding an extra layer of prehistoric charm.

Appliances: Household appliances are cleverly crafted to mimic modern devices. A woolly mammoth might act as a vacuum cleaner by sucking up dust through its trunk, while a bird with a long beak might serve as a phonograph, playing music when a record is placed on its back.

Communication: Bedrock residents communicate using stone tablets and “rock mail,” which is delivered by fast-running dinosaurs. For longer distances, messages can be sent via pterodactyl couriers who fly over the city, dropping stone messages into designated chutes.

Prehistoric Wildlife:

Bedrock’s surroundings are teeming with a variety of prehistoric creatures that coexist with the city’s residents.

Dinosaurs: Dinosaurs of all sizes roam the area, from the tiny Dino, a lovable pet, to large brontosauruses used for heavy labor. While some dinosaurs are domesticated and help with tasks like construction or transportation, others roam freely in the wild, posing challenges for adventurers.

Mammoths: These giant, woolly creatures are often used as beasts of burden. They’re frequently seen transporting goods or providing public transportation, with howdahs strapped to their backs for passengers.

Sabertooth Tigers: Sabertooths are both feared and respected in Bedrock. Some are kept as pets, while others are wild and dangerous, making the surrounding wilderness a perilous place to explore.
