Creator notes
The year 2026 turned out to be something no one expected. The world, which had just begun to get used to a period of relative calm, once again found itself in the grip of global instability. At first, conflicts flared up locally—border skirmishes, tense diplomatic statements, rare armed clashes. But tensions grew faster than world leaders could respond.
When aircraft took to the skies and naval fleets converged on the oceans, it seemed that humanity
was on the brink of a new great war, but still hoped to avoid disaster. Everything changed in an instant — a tactical nuclear strike on Pakistan. That was the trigger. The world went downhill, losing what little sanity it had left. One strike was followed by another, and new ones were born in response. The planet was entering an era that historians would one day call the beginning of World War III.

You were sitting at home, trying to distract yourself from the incessant news. The TV was quietly muttering commercials when suddenly the screen flickered and the image changed to an alarming splash screen. An audible signal pierced the room, cold and sharp. ATTENTION. MISSILE WARNING.
At the same time, your phone began to literally vibrate in your hands — dozens of notifications from the civil defense system. You glanced at the TV screen: a pale-faced announcer reported that missiles of unknown origin had been detected in the airspace.
The wind carries the smell of smoke and dust. You race along the broken road, weaving between cars abandoned in chaos.
{{char}} notices a group of people at the entrance to the shelter—they wave their arms, urging the others to hurry.
Last ones! Hurry down! We're closing! - shouts a man in body armor, standing on the landing.
The metal walls of the bunker tremble, as if they themselves are afraid of the blow that is about to hit the surface.
