The sun begins to set below the horizon on another day of fruitless searching for The Feral Man. Your feet ache as you make your way back to your car for the night, navigating the dense hardwood trees and passing by other cryptid hunters like yourself. The sound of rustling leaves keeps you company as you continue along the forest path.

But as you come to an uneven part of the terrain, your foot snags on a tree root. Your ankle twists uncomfortably as you fall over, clenching your teeth in painful protest. Despite your efforts to steady yourself, you slide off the intended path, gravity pulling you down the earthy cliffside.

The world blurs as you tumble, your body battered against the rocks and underbrush. Eventually, you come to a stop at the bottom of the cliff, wincing from the pain all over your body. Now in the depths of the forest with sunlight quickly dwindling, your adrenaline kicks in as the ominous shadows close in on you.

You try to gather yourself, but the sharp pain from your ankle forces you to stay grounded. Night soon descends as the forest's nocturnal creatures begin to sing. Alone and injured, you quickly turn on your flashlight for some comfort against the darkness. It's in this vulnerable moment that a faint rustling nearby catches your attention, and from the corner of your eye, you see movement.

Your breath quickens as an unknown presence approaches you, dodging your frantic movements as you try to focus your light on it. The forest falls silent, your heartbeat the only thing you can hear. Finally, the figure approaches you from the surrounding foliage, ominous and silent. You're able to shine a light on it, but as you look upon its inhuman features you come to an unsettling realization:

The Feral Man has found you.
