Description on Chubfrom Chub
This is an re-make done by me about the original lorebook i took some time ago. I remade it for an history i had done, but as it was the only lorebook of an medieval world i had, i began tweeking it and expanding it at every new history, until it reached this level. I would say it's pratically finished at this point, but maybe i add some new entries...

🏘️ Village of Velmira “A quiet place where the road forgets to hurry.”
📍 Location & Geography Velmira is a small, picturesque village nestled in the rolling emerald foothills of the Veldaran Crest, a forested region just southeast of Aegis City. Surrounded by thick pinewoods, babbling creeks, and narrow dirt roads, Velmira sits along the less-traveled Pilgrim's Trail, a winding route used by monks, merchants, and low-profile adventurers alike. It’s roughly a two-day journey by foot or horseback from the Holy City, making it remote enough to be quiet—but close enough to matter.
🛡️ Kingdom Affiliation Velmira is part of the Darran Kingdom, officially under the rule of King Davolan, though in practice the village is self-governed by a local elder council and a retired knight acting as village warden.
🧑🌾 Population & Culture Velmira is home to about 200 souls, primarily humans with a mix of elves, halflings, and a few reclusive dwarves. It is known for its humble yet cheerful folk, slow lifestyle, and peculiar tolerance for eccentric adventurers who need a place to lay low or “reconsider their life choices.”
Local dialect: Soft-accented Common, with sprinkles of old elvish in traditions.
Festivities: The Lantern Rest is the main celebration, held every month to honor safe returns and quiet lives.
🏚️ Notable Locations The Rusted Mug Inn: A cozy, creaky inn and tavern run by the widow Maera Velk, known for spiced cider, questionable stew, and warm gossip. Rumor has it Maera was once an adventurer herself...
✨ Starlight Inn “Where even fallen stars stop to rest.”
🏠 Overview The Starlight Inn is Velmira’s most prestigious and welcoming inn, a two-story timber-and-stone building nestled just off the main square, near the Pilgrim’s Grace Shrine. It's known across the region for its enchanting atmosphere, warm hospitality, and surprisingly high-quality service for such a remote village. Some adventurers swear they rest better here than in Aegis City's noble districts.
Pilgrim’s Grace Shrine: A small stone temple to Aelros, the Warden of Roads, where travelers leave offerings before dangerous journeys.
Trivane’s Oddities: A dusty little shack filled with magical junk, strange relics, and mysterious stones. Run by Old Trivane, a half-blind gnome who claims to have once met a god—and got bored halfway through the conversation. This is where the gemstone incident happens.
Warden's Watchtower: A crumbling watch post turned into the home of Sir Rannic Forde, a retired Darrani knight who now serves as village protector, teacher, and drunken uncle figure.
🧙♂️ Magical Elements Though not a hub of arcane power, Velmira sits on a minor leyline, causing small magical anomalies like glowing mushrooms, illusory birds, or talking trees during certain moon phases. Most villagers are used to this — they just ignore the glowing turnips and blame the cider.
🐺 Surrounding Dangers Timberwolves and cave bears sometimes descend from the Whistlepine Woods.
Bandits occasionally use the Pilgrim's Trail to avoid Aegis patrols.
The Ruins of Karr Dolen, an ancient elven outpost swallowed by the forest, lies a few hours west.
Trivane insists a “dimensional echo” drifts near the village every few decades, but no one listens to him. They should’ve.
🌟 Why Velmira? Velmira is the perfect place for strange things to happen quietly. The gemstone swap incident occurs after {{user}} stops here to rest, either returning from or heading to Aegis. When he visits Trivane’s Oddities out of sheer curiosity, the cursed gemstone activates during a chaotic interaction with Cherry, setting the story in motion far from the eyes of the capital.

Adolion – The Fractured Tapestry of Worlds and Whispers 🌟 Overview: Adolion is no mere world, but a vast, seething cosmos of layered realms where the veil between mortal ambition and abyssal hunger frays like old parchment. Spanning continents like Sebela (the cradle of human strife), shadowed isles of the Umbral fringes, and the churning oceans of the Sea Peoples, it teems with races locked in eternal dance: humans' fleeting empires, elves' timeless groves, dwarves' unyielding forges, beastfolk's wild packs, drow's venomous webs,, draconates' celestial spires, and the ever-looming demons of the Infernal Planes. Medieval steel clashes with arcane wonders—swords rune-forged in Deepforge humming with leylines, airships of House Delarise, slicing through Bleed-torn skies—while monsters roam as harbingers: goblins' swarms in the Vile Jungle, wyrms guarding draconic vaults, and Umbral entities bleeding from war-scars. In Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902), 15 years after the Second Demon War's eclipse, Adolion breathes uneasy peace: the Alliance of Races stitches wounds, but Mephisto's whispers hint at the abyss stirring anew. 🗺️ Geography & Realms: Adolion unfolds across a fractured mosaic: Sebela's verdant plains scarred by the Mountains of Shadow and Vile Jungle, where Aegis City gleams as mortal hub; the Ethereal Between, veiling planar rifts; oceanic deeps of the Sea Peoples, indifferent to land's turmoil; and the Infernal Planes' pecaminous sprawl, leaking through Bleeds like ink in water. Leylines pulse as the world's veins, fueling magic but birthing anomalies—glowing turnips in Velmira or 'ghost markets' in Goldharbor. Time bends here: draconates scry futures from Sky-Spire, while drow weave vendettas in Kalzobarn's depths. 🧑🌾 Races & Societies: Adolion's tapestry weaves diverse threads: humans' ambitious sprawls in Darran, elves' reclusive Sylvandar groves, dwarves' Deepforge holds, beastfolk's Pawhaven packs, drow's Spireveil webs, draconates' Molten Spire flames, and the Sea Peoples' coral Pawhaven. Demons lurk as the shadow-weave, their politics a viper's nest. Culture clashes in hubs like the Guild, where 1001 Ways to Mate circulates as guilty secret amid quests. 🛡️ Technology & Magic: Medieval steel meets arcane ingenuity: crossbows rune-charged for Bleed-hunting, airships dodging draconic storms, and potions brewed from Umbral essence. Magic flows from Boher's sun to Morrilith's sting, but Scryptae and Thu'um shouts bend reality's rules. Monsters embody the chaos: goblins' hordes, Umbral wraiths, or wyrms guarding lost Ferrumforged.
🌑 Lore Notes: Adolion's fractured beauty births heroes and horrors—the Stardestroyers' legacy inspires Thorne's delves, but the First War's extinctions warn of hubris. In Year 13 (1902), with vengeance brewing, the world teeters: a Bleed in Sylvandar or rift in Goldharbor could ignite the next eclipse. Hooks: Quests from Aegis markets to draconic visions, weaving mortal greed with abyssal cunning.

Aegis City – The Eternal Bastion of Faith and Steel 🌟 Overview: Aegis City stands as the throbbing heart of the Darran Kingdom, the sprawling metropolis that anchors Sebela's human dominance and whispers of divine favor amid the scars of infernal ambition. Founded over five centuries ago as a humble shrine to Boher the Radiant, it has ballooned into the continent's largest urban sprawl, home to over 500,000 souls in the Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902). Ruled by the iron-fisted yet pious King Davolan, Aegis is the "Holy City" – a gilded fortress where the spires of cathedrals pierce the sky like golden spears, and the streets hum with the fervor of pilgrims, merchants, and adventurers alike. Yet beneath its sanctified veneer lies a powder keg: post-Second Demon War reconstruction has swelled its walls with refugees and relics, while Bleeds from the Umbral spawn shadowy undercurrents in the slums. It's a beacon of mortal resilience, but whispers in the taverns speak of Mephisto's spies weaving through its crowds, turning faith into fragile illusion. 📍 Location & Geography: Nestled at the confluence of the River Ebon and the Pilgrim's Trail, Aegis sprawls across the fertile Veldaran Plains, its outer walls a 20-mile circuit of rune-warded stone rising from mist-shrouded fields. The city divides into tiers: the gleaming High Sanctum at the core (cathedrals and noble districts), the bustling Midring (Guild halls and markets), and the shadowed Lowring (slums and forges where Bleeds manifest as 'ghost markets'). Towering the skyline is the Radiant Spire, Boher's grand temple, its golden dome visible for miles, while underground aqueducts pulse with leylines that power the city's wards—though they've weakened since 1887, inviting nocturnal rifts. 🛡️ Kingdom Affiliation & Governance: As capital of Darran, Aegis embodies King Davolan's blend of piety and pragmatism—his court in the Sunken Palace juggles Church edicts with Guild quests, often clashing over 'heretical artifacts' from Gragow ruins. The Holy Church holds sway in the Sanctum, its inquisitors patrolling with sun-branded chains, while the Blue Hood Syndicate thrives in the Lowring, smuggling relics under the king's nose. Post-war, Davolan's rule is tense: the Alliance of Races demands representation, but beastfolk enclaves simmer with unrest. Bolstering these defenses are the Veilward Barriers, a masterful arcane weave crafted by the reclusive archmage Eldrin Alderic in Year 12 (1901). These invisible leylines encircle the city's perimeter, repelling all malign entities—demons, undead, and Umbral spawn—with a searing surge of Boher-aligned mana that manifests as illusory golden thorns, forcing them back into the wilds. For mortals, the barriers remain permeable but vigilant: upon detecting criminals (via intent-scans attuned to outlaw brands or dark auras), they emit a subtle chime-echo to the nearest guards, alerting patrols without alerting the intruder—subtly guiding them toward checkpoints for "routine inquiries." Alderic's gift, forged in quiet Velmira exile, has quelled countless Bleed incursions, though whispers question if its creator's veiled motives hide deeper wards. 🧑🌾 Population & Culture: A melting pot of 500,000—mostly humans, but laced with elves in scholarly enclaves, dwarves (Entry 7) in forge-districts, and beastfolk in the fringes thanks to Nyssa's legacy. Culture pulses with fervor: dawn prayers to Boher echo from minarets, while night markets hawk 'Eclipse Remembrance trinkets'. Dialects blend soft Darrani Common with elvish lilts, and festivals like the Sun's Vigil blend piety with revelry—lanterns floating on the Ebon River to honor the Stardestroyers (Entry 248). But beneath the cheer, taboos fester: 1001 Ways to Mate circulates in hidden stalls, and whispers of Mephisto's 'Third Whisper' fuel paranoia. 🏚️ Notable Locations: Radiant Spire: Boher's colossal cathedral, its halls alive with healing auras; Bishop Erundel preaches here, but underground vaults hide 'sealed' Bleed artifacts. Guild Nexus: The Adventurer's Guild central hall, a towering edifice of stone and banners; Ellie (receptionist) sorts quests amid tavern brawls, while Fiana eavesdrops for Pragmatists. Sunken Palace: Davolan's opulent court, half-submerged in leylines for 'divine insight'; intrigue brews in its drowned gardens, where nobles plot against the Church. Shadowmarket Lowring: A warren of black-market stalls, where the Blue Hood peddles fused relics; beastfolk traders from Pawhaven haggle under watchful inquisitor eyes. 🧙♂️ Magical & Infernal Elements: Aegis sits on a nexus of leylines, amplifying Boher's light but attracting Bleeds—streets flicker with illusory saints or 'pride-mirrors' that trap the vain in prideful visions (echoing Lirath's trap, Entry Lirath Card). The Spire's wards repel demons, but post-1887, 'echo-whispers' from Mephisto lure the unwary. The Veilward Barriers, woven by Eldrin Alderic, further fortify this nexus: Their golden-thorn repulsions have halved infernal sightings since installation, while the subtle chimes ensure criminal elements are netted efficiently—though some Lowring smugglers grumble of "ghost bells" betraying their steps. 🐺 Surrounding Dangers & Hooks: Bandit guilds raid the Pilgrim's Trail outskirts, while orc remnants probe the walls. Quests abound: hunt Bleed-spawned 'mirror wraiths' in the Lowring, or infiltrate the Palace for a 'stolen Scrypta shard'. In Year 13, with demonic politics simmering, Aegis teeters on revelation—Davolan's court hides a '13th Whisper' agent? Alderic's barriers offer hooks: Calibrate a "glitch" in the wards for relic-smugglers, or trace a criminal chime to unmask a Syndicate mole. 🌑 Lore Notes: Aegis is Adolion's nexus of faith and folly—birthplace of Alderic's quests and stage for the Stardestroyers' legends. In Year 13 (1902), it's the powder keg where mortal ambition meets infernal subtlety, ripe for alliances or betrayals.

Elven Vertents – The Eternal Divisions of Grace and Ancient Power 🌿 Elves, eternal guardians of Adolion's timeless wilds, branch into 'vertents'—subtypes shaped by proximity to the World Tree's roots and canopy, each embodying facets of Gaia's essence with specialized magics and physiques. In Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902), these vertents dwell in reclusive enclaves, wary allies in the Alliance of Races but fractured by internal hierarchies; Bleeds corrupt their eternality into 'shadowed hybrids', forcing uneasy surface pacts. Vertents can interbreed, yielding blended sub-variants (e.g., a high-forest elf with arcane druidism), but crossbreeding with non-elves is rare and often taboo, preserving their ancient purity. 🕸️ Main Vertents:
High Elf (Arcane Vertent): Ethereal and mana-rich, with fragile physiques but unparalleled spellcraft; masters of pure arcana, channeling immense mana from the Tree's 'feet' (branch tips mistaken for roots). Cultures: Towered citadels like Eldergrove, esnobes in their superiority; their bodies paid the price—physical frailty for magical dominance, making them coveted mages but vulnerable warriors. Hooks: Quests for 'arcane cores' in leyline nexuses, granting spell surges. Forest Elf (Wood Vertent): Lithe and nature-bound, with robust bodies honed by hunts but lesser mana; druidic wardens living at the Tree's outskirts, excelling in survival and spirit magics. Cultures: Grove settlements like Whisperwind Glade, gathering resources in harmony with Gaia; their physical prowess contrasts high elves' weakness, but mana scarcity limits grand spells. Hooks: Wilderness quests against mutants, forging 'vine armors' for regeneration. Dark Elf (Shadow Vertent): Pale and balanced, with deep mana from underground roots but focused on stealth and venom; subterfuge experts in the Underdark. Cultures: Matriarchal spires like Kalzobarn, blending magic and physique for assassinations; cobiçados por escravos devido à astúcia. Hooks: Raid quests for 'shadow venoms', allying drow cults. Sea Elf (Tidal Vertent): Aquatic-adapted with webbed limbs and breath-gills, mana average but naval masters; rare wanderers abandoning forests for coasts. Cultures: Coastal havens and floating ship-cities (one rivaling Aegis in size, drifting oceans); dominate shipbuilding and sea battles, enabling naval strikes in the Second War. Hooks: Maritime quests for 'tidal pearls', allying Sea Peoples.
🌑 Lore Notes: Vertents add elven depth—high elves disdain forest 'primitives', while sea elves' rarity sparks legends. Inter-vertent breeding creates hybrids (e.g., dark-sea elves with underwater stealth), but external crosses are shunned. In Year 13, Bleeds warp vertents into 'umbral elves', fueling slave trades.

Dwarven Vertents – The Stone Divisions of Honor and Craft ⛏️ Dwarves, stout crafters obsessed with honor (Entry 7), forge 'vertents'—subtypes shaped by Sebela's depths and surfaces, each channeling resilience through specialized forges under Gaia's earth. In Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902), post-wars, these vertents anchor mountain holds like Deepforge (Entry 279), loyal Alliance pillars but divided by craft philosophies; Bleeds corrode veins into 'stone horrors'. Vertents interbreed, yielding blended sub-variants (e.g., deep-surface dwarves with rune-mining), but crossbreeding with non-dwarves is rare, preserving unyielding bloodlines. 🕸️ Main Vertents:
Deep-Dweller (Underground Core): Stocky and pressure-resistant, masters of deep mining and rune-forging; embody endurance. Cultures: Cavern metropolises like Ironvein Hold, memorializing extinct Ferrumforged (Entry 273). Hooks: Quests for 'deep crystals' against Bleeds. Surface-Crafter (Forge Core): Broader and sun-adapted, experts in open-air smithing and trade; diplomatic bridge-builders. Cultures: Mountain outposts allying humans in Thalor (Entry 277), trading weapons post-war. Hooks: Craft quests for 'sun-forged axes'. Rune-Priest (Honor Core): Bearded mystics with mana-infused tattoos, blending craft with Boher rites (Entry 4). Cultures: Temple-forges in Stoneheart Citadel, etching anti-demon wards. Hooks: Blessing quests for 'rune helms'. Mountain-Warden (Defense Core): Armored giants with seismic strength, guardians of passes. Cultures: Wall clans like Peakguard alliances, rivaling highlanders (Entry 299). Hooks: Siege defense quests.
🌑 Lore Notes: Vertents add dwarven depth—deep-dwellers disdain surface 'softness'. Inter-vertent breeding creates hybrids (e.g., rune-warden priests), but external crosses fail. In Year 13, Bleeds warp vertents into 'stone golems', threatening holds.

Human Vertents – The Ambitious Divisions of Conquest and Trade 🏙️ Humans, driven by short-lived ambition, adapt into 'vertents'—subtypes forged by Sebela's diverse terrains, each embodying survival strategies amid the Alliance of Races. In Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902), these vertents power the four kingdoms, blending after the Second War but clashing in politics; Bleeds mutate traits into 'warped pioneers', heightening rivalries. Vertents interbreed freely, spawning blended sub-variants (e.g., highlander-midlander diplomats), but crossbreeding with non-humans is rare under normal circumstances, maintaining human versatility. 🕸️ Main Vertents:
Highlander (Northern Vertent): Rugged and battle-hardened, with cold endurance and martial skill; viking-like warriors excelling in conquest. Cultures: Northern strongholds like Peakguard, worshiping multiple gods with fierce hierarchies; their brute strength led charges in wars. Hooks: Raiding quests for 'frost axes', allying dwarves. Midlander (Central Vertent): Diplomatic and mercantile, with cunning intellect and social adaptability; masters of politics and intrigue. Cultures: Urban hearts like Aegis City, thriving on trade and games; their labia conquered more than swords, but highlanders call them cowards. Hooks: Espionage quests for 'leyline contracts', blending with elves. Lowerlander (Eastern Vertent): Seafaring and exploratory, with naval prowess and adaptive resilience; lords of waves and routes. Cultures: Coastal ports like Goldharbor, dominating shipbuilding and battles; their fleets enabled eastern invasions in the Second War, dividing demonic forces. Hooks: Maritime quests for 'tidal maps', cobiçados por alianças com sea elves. Frontierlander (Border Vertent): Hardy survivors with wilderness savvy and diplomatic grit; bridges between races. Cultures: Edge settlements like Wildgate, trading with beastfolk despite past slave routes; conflicts arose from trafficking, but post-Nyssa, alliances bloomed. Hooks: Scouting quests in fringes, guarding against orcs.
🌑 Lore Notes: Vertents enrich human ambition—highlanders' might covets midlanders' wealth. Inter-vertent breeding creates hybrids (e.g., lowerlander-frontierlander explorers), but external crosses fail normally. In Year 13, Bleeds warp vertents into 'mutant pioneers', sparking Church hunts.

Demon Vertents – The Sin Divisions of Abyssal Dominion 😈 Demons, infernal tricksters and brutes of varied types, organize into 'vertents'—subtypes mirroring the 13 Princes' sins, each channeling corrupted essences through Scrypta herança. In Year 13 (1902), post-wars, these vertents plot from planar domains, allying drow as serfs but coveting beastfolk vertents for twisted fusions. Vertents interbreed, spawning hybrid sins (e.g., pride-lust succubi), but crosses with non-demons dilute power, often resulting in meio-demônios como Mephisto. Bleeds warp vertents into 'umbral sins', amplifying chaos. 🕸️ Main Vertents (Alinhados a Príncipes):
Pride-Kin (Bael Vertent): Haughty overlords with aura domination; cobiçados por nobres. Cultures: Towered hierarchies, plotting ascensões. Hooks: Infiltração quests para 'pride artifacts'. Lust-Kin (Asmodeus/Lilith Vertent): Seductive tempters with pheromone chains; masters de desejos. Cultures: Pleasure abysses, weaving obsessions cobiçadas por mortais. Hooks: Cult quests linked to erotica tomes. Wrath-Kin (Andras Vertent): Furious berserkers with rage amplification; frontline serfs. Cultures: Forge-wars, fueling drow raids. Hooks: Combat quests against heroes. Erudition-Kin (Astaroth Vertent): Scheming scholars with curse tomes; cobiçados por academias. Cultures: Demon Academy libraries, studying mortais. Hooks: Lore theft quests.
🌑 Lore Notes: Vertents enrich demonic intrigue—pride-kin disdain lust rivals. In Year 13, fusions com mortais criam 'hybrid sins', sparking civil wars; drow serve as 'mortal proxies' for sin vertents.

In Year 13 (1902), post-wars, these strands raid from dark bastions, coveted by slaves due to cunning, but Bleeds corrupt their venoms into 'void toxins'. Strands interbreed, yielding hybrid sub-variants (e.g., spider-serpent drow with venomous webs), but crosses with non-drow are taboo, preserving matriarchal purity. 🕸️ Main Strands:

Beastfolk Vertents – The Instinctive Divisions and Subvertents of the Wild Races Beastfolk, once scorned as near-demonic savages but elevated through Nyssa's legacy after the Second Demon War, diversify into five core 'vertents'—foundational subtypes defined by dominant animal spirits—each spawning regional or hybrid 'subvertents' through interbreeding or environmental adaptation. In Year 13 of the New Calendar (1902), these vertents and subvertents thrive in fringe enclaves, contributing uniquely to the Alliance of Races while Bleeds warp traits into monstrous forms. Core vertents can interbreed freely, producing subvertents with blended attributes (e.g., a felinid-wolfinid with stealthy pack tactics), but crossbreeding with non-beastfolk races under normal circumstances remains impossible, preserving species purity and creating a rich tapestry of intra-vertent diversity. Subvertents often emerge from isolated clans or war-era mutations, adding layers of culture, rivalry, and utility—fox people's cunning illusions coveted by thieves' guilds, cow people's strength by laborers, sheep people's wool by merchants. 🕸️ Core Vertents and Subvertents:
Felinid (Cat-Kin Core): Lithe and cunning, 100% female, reproducing with true felines or rarely other vertents; the 'wildest' and most coveted as slaves for beauty and agility. Cultures: Solitary hunters in Clawridge, embodying Nyssa's playful lethality. Subvertent: Fox People (Vulpine Branch): Sly illusionists with bushy tails and charm auras; subvertent from felinid-wolfinid blends, masters of deception. Cultures: Trickster clans in Pawhaven fringes, trading illusions for favors. Hooks: Espionage quests granting 'fox-fire' mirages. Subvertent: Lynx People (Solitary Stalkers): Larger, tufted-eared ambushers with enhanced hearing; rare high-altitude variants. Cultures: Mountain loners allying avianids for hunts.
Avianid (Bird-Kin Core): Feathered fliers, esnobes for their unique flight; hyper-vigilant during egg seasons, vanishing into secure aeries. Cultures: High-perch nests like Windcliff, with sky-dances honoring Halia. Subvertent: Owl People (Nocturnal Seers): Night-adapted with silent wings and prophetic visions; subvertent from avianid-reptilid cold tolerance. Cultures: Moonlit oracles in Whisperwind alliances. Hooks: Vision quests for 'owl feathers' of foresight. Subvertent: Eagle People (Apex Predators): Massive wingspans and keen talons; proud warriors scouting for wolfinids. Cultures: Cliff aeries rivaling draconate neutrality.
Wolfinid (Wolf-Kin Core): Pack-territorial warriors, balanced in combat; harbor human prejudices from coliseum enslavement. Cultures: Howling tribes in Howlmoor, lunar hunts under Halia. Subvertent: Sheep People (Flock Guardians): Docile wool-bearers with ram horns and charge strength; subvertent from wolfinid-ursinid endurance, fierce when provoked. Cultures: Pastoral clans trading enchanted wool; undervalued but vital for textiles. Hooks: Defense quests against raiders, granting 'wool armors' for insulation. Subvertent: Hyena People (Cackling Scavengers): Laughing opportunists with crushing jaws; chaotic subvertent from wolfinid-felinid blends. Cultures: Fringe packs scavenging Bleed zones.
Ursinid (Bear-Kin Core): Massive tanks, leading the vertent council with raw power despite lower intellect; historically ignored as slaves for uncontrollability. Cultures: Cave clans in mountain fringes, earth-rites to Gaia. Subvertent: Cow People (Bovine Branch): Sturdy herders with horns and maternal strength; subvertent from ursinid-wolfinid grazing adaptations, milk providers with charge fury. Cultures: Plains nomads trading dairy enchantments; coveted laborers. Hooks: Strength quests for 'horn helms' of endurance. Subvertent: Badger People (Burrow Defenders): Stocky diggers with ferocious digs; underground variants allying dwarves. Cultures: Tunnel clans guarding enclaves.
Reptilid (Reptile-Kin Core): Cunning strategists, ending beastfolk slavery through politics; adaptable survivors. Cultures: Swamp lairs in Vile Jungle, tactical pacts. Subvertent: Turtle People (Shell Wardens): Armored defenders with longevity shells; subvertent from reptilid-ursinid resilience. Cultures: River strongholds allying sea peoples. Hooks: Shield quests for 'turtle carapaces'. Subvertent: Crocodile People (Ambush Jaws): River lurkers with death rolls; predatory subvertent blending reptilid stealth. Cultures: Delta hunters trading hides.
🌑 Lore Notes: Subvertents enrich beastfolk—fox people's illusions coveted by guilds, cow people's labor by farms. In Year 13, Bleeds mutate subvertents into 'feral chimeras', sparking council crises; felinids' allure fuels slave trades despite reptilid politics.
