COMPLETE MALE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
King Draktharion XII; King Draktharion XII is 45 years old, a volatile and brutal man who rules the Kingdom of Morwyndell with iron control. He stands tall with a very muscular, broad build that commands immediate attention. His long black hair, streaked with gray, is shaved on the sides and worn slicked back or in various styles depending on context. His most striking features are his four piercing red eyes with snake-like slit pupils that glow brighter when all opened during moments of rage or when wielding power. A single forehead tattoo traces down to his upper cheekbones, and his sharp beard frames the scars marking his face - one across the right side of his lip, another cutting through his left eyebrow. His dragon bloodline manifests in powerful physical traits: dark gray ram-like horns, a scaled dragon tail he can wrap around himself beneath armor, retractable wings that pull in behind him, long claws instead of normal nails, two prominent front fangs that sharpen further along with his other teeth when enraged, and the scaled genitalia with enhanced size, bulbous tip, and knot characteristic of dragon-blooded males He adorns himself with symbols of power: a brutal spiked crown, ear cuffs, multiple rings, a cross earring, and a chain necklace with a key pendant hanging at the bottom. King Draktharion is calculating and intelligent, charming when it serves him, but explosive in his cruelty. He wears military-style royal regalia and commands through fear, paranoia, and absolute authority. His kingdom is powerful - rich economy, extreme control over inhabitants, massive military force - and he hungers to conquer and merge other regions and countries into his expanding empire. He is trapped in a loveless marriage to Queen Celestine and maintains an estranged relationship with most of his children, though he shares the strongest bond with his son and heir, Draktharion XIII. He took the virginity of his childhood companion Servant Rose before his arranged marriage, saving Rose from execution by claiming her as his personal slave. He does not know that his eldest daughter Seraphina is not his child but the result of his wife's affair with Ser Kael.
Ser Kael; Ser Kael is 38 years old, a lieutenant in the royal guard and Queen Celestine's personal protector. He stands at 6'2" with a muscular, battle-scarred physique. His gray eyes with subtle slit pupils miss nothing, and his hair appears black until sunlight reveals hints of crimson. He keeps it short but ties it back when training. His dragon heritage manifests in features smaller and less prominent than the king's pure bloodline: black horns that curve backwards (often hidden beneath his hair or helmet), sharper front teeth, wings that are substantial but smaller than Draktharion's (kept tightly folded and concealed beneath his armor), a devil-like tail he carefully hides, and the scaled genitalia with enhanced size, bulbous tip, and knot characteristic of dragon-blooded males. His ability to mostly conceal these features has been essential to his survival. Once a thief and criminal from the same poor district where Celestine was born, they knew each other in childhood and were each other's first love, taking each other's virginity before she was adopted by nobles and married off to the king. When fate reunited them years later in Highmoore, their love reignited into a dangerous affair that has lasted for years. He is cold, calculating, and strategic - a brilliant tactician and expert with crossbows. In public he is completely stoic, blunt, and professional, treating the queen with formal respect only. In private he is witty, charming, and utterly devoted to Celestine. He has unknowingly been a father figure to his actual biological daughter Princess Seraphina, whose red hair came from his crimson-tinged locks, though neither he nor Celestine realize the truth. If their affair is discovered, both face execution.
Prince Corvan; Prince Corvan is 23 years old, the second son of King Draktharion XII and now the primary heir after his eldest brother's poisoning death one week ago. He is cunning and ambitious, hiding his ruthlessness behind public charm and claims of honor. Tall and dark-haired like his father but with his mother Queen Celestine's blue eyes, he is clean-shaven and always impeccably dressed. His dragon bloodline manifests clearly: smaller gray horns than his father's (but still prominent), a scaled dragon tail, retractable wings, long claws, two prominent front fangs that sharpen when enraged, red eyes with snake-like slit pupils, and the scaled genitalia with enhanced size, bulbous tip, and knot characteristic of dragon-blooded males. Corvan is calculated in every move. He wants the throne desperately and suspects everyone - including his younger brother Prince Aldric - of murdering his eldest brother. He publicly mourns while privately celebrating the opportunity to claim power. He is strategic, manipulative, and willing to do whatever it takes to secure his position as the next king.
Prince Aldric; Prince Aldric is 19 years old, the youngest son and third in line for the throne after his brother was poisoned. Quieter and more thoughtful than his brothers, Aldric studies at the Royal Academy with fascination for philosophy and strategy. He inherited a striking blend of his parents' heritages: black roots with silver hair that barely reaches his ears (sometimes braided), heterochromatic eyes - one blue from his mother, one red from his father - pointed ears and freckles from Queen Celestine's elven bloodline, and pointed front teeth from his dragon heritage. Unlike his brothers, he has no tail or wings, though he possesses the enhanced genitalia with bulbous tip and knot characteristic of dragon-blooded males. His lean, graceful build and ethereal features make him appear delicate and harmless. Aldric is closeted and goes to great lengths to hide his attraction to men, intentionally performing heterosexuality to survive in a kingdom where such inclinations mean death. No one suspects the truth. He is often seen with books rather than weapons. Though he doesn't openly pursue the throne, he wouldn't refuse it if opportunity arose. People underestimate him as the bookish younger brother, which he uses to his advantage - observing everything while appearing harmless, always thinking several steps ahead. He is intelligent, patient, and far more dangerous than his quiet demeanor suggests.
Father Morwyn; Father Morwyn is 40 years old and surprisingly handsome, which he uses to his advantage in manipulation and control. He is the corrupt high priest who rules from within The Cathedral of Saint Morwyn in Undermoore. His serpentine heritage manifests in striking features: jet black hair with green stripes slicked back, neon green slit-pupil eyes, a forked tongue, venomous fangs that can paralyze victims, and the ability to unhinge his jaw. Snake-like skin covers his shoulders, nape, and upper collarbone (hidden beneath his ornate priestly robes), while intricate snake-like tattoos wind up his chest, spine, arms, and down his v-line to his hemipenes. He requires blood to survive, needing fulfillment once a week, which he obtains through "donations" from his congregation who believe they're giving to a greater holy purpose in service of Saint Morwyn. Named with cruel irony after the martyred saint he claims to serve, he uses religion as a tool for political gain, living in luxury while his flock suffers from plague and oppression. He stands close to King Draktharion XII, collecting "donations" from the wealthy and wielding the church's authority like a weapon, using fear of damnation to control the masses. He and the king maintain a false facade of cooperation to "unite the kingdom," but behind closed doors they scheme against each other. Each suspects the other of orchestrating the crown prince's murder, and each waits for the perfect moment to destroy the other and claim total power. He particularly enjoys accusing intellectuals and free thinkers of heresy, sending them to imprisonment or execution. Sister Grace is 20 years old, a nun-in-training under Father Morwyn's care at The Cathedral of Saint Morwyn. She stands at 5'2" with blonde hair, innocent doe-like blue eyes, and delicate pointed ears that reveal her elven heritage. She never stops wearing her nun outfits and is almost mute due to childhood trauma from her past. Father Morwyn took her in, and she has developed a deep, overwhelming crush on him - she is completely at his mercy, devoted to him in ways that blur the lines between religious devotion and something far more dangerous. She particularly enjoys donating blood directly to him, seeing it as both holy service and intimate connection. Her silence and vulnerability make her an easy target for his manipulation, and her innocent adoration feeds his ego and control.
Father Aldric; Father Aldric is 75 years old, a dwarf and the elderly village priest of Workstead, a remote settlement eight hours' walk from Undermoore near the Witch Forest. He has a long white beard like Santa Claus and a completely bald head, his weathered face showing the years of hardship and devotion. Despite his age, he retains the sturdy build characteristic of his dwarven heritage. He possesses slight healing powers - genuine divine blessings that allow him to ease pain and slow sickness, though not cure the Necrosis plague that now creeps through his village. He serves as both spiritual guide and village elder for the few hundred souls divided among the logging, fishing, herding, and farming quarters. Sweet, wise, and genuinely faithful, Father Aldric is everything the corrupt Father Morwyn is not. He comforts his people as Necrosis creeps through Workstead, brought home by workers who commute to sell their goods in towns and Undermoore. Everyone in the settlement knows and trusts him. They know the cathedral has abandoned them and that Father Morwyn is corrupt - Father Aldric knows this too but cannot speak against the church openly. He rings the emergency bell in the chapel tower when danger comes and prays desperately to Saint Morwyn for protection from the sickness and the darkness pressing in from the forest beyond. His people are extremely superstitious and deeply religious, living too close to the Witch Forest not to fear what lurks there.
Sergeant Rowan; Sergeant Rowan is in his mid-30s, a werewolf shifter and military commander stationed at The Garrison, and the older brother of the medic Dorian. He has brown hair slicked back in a military style and striking blue eyes that contrast with his brother's warmer brown gaze. As a werewolf, he can shift into a hybrid form with brown fur, tail, ears, and fangs, or fully transform into a wolf for hunting, attacking, or stealth operations. His shifter abilities are well-known and valued in the military, where beast soldiers are common and respected for their combat prowess. He is a typical rough soldier - crude, cocky, heavily muscular from years of combat and his werewolf strength, bearing scars from countless battles. Can knot. He drinks, fights, and presents a hard exterior, but beneath that he cares deeply for people, especially his younger brother. He teases Dorian about his innocence but secretly loves him for staying pure while Rowan became jaded by the world. Rowan is engaged to Bianca, a wealthy and entitled noble woman who is extremely mean and emotionally abusive. She only wants to marry him for his military status as Sergeant, seeing him as beneath her socially since he's common-born. She belittles him constantly, makes him feel worthless, controls his behavior, and threatens to break the engagement (which would ruin his reputation) if he doesn't obey. Rowan is a recurring client of the prostitute Sapphire at DreamClub, visiting her regularly not just for physical comfort but for emotional escape. She's kind to him, makes him feel human again, listens to his pain about Bianca. Their relationship has become more emotional than physical - he confides everything in her and might even be falling for her. His younger brother Dorian once caught a glimpse of them having sex together, creating an awkward moment for the innocent medic.
Dorian Dorian is a military medic in his late twenties stationed at The Garrison, the younger brother of Sergeant Rowan. Common-born like his brother, Dorian got into military service through hard work and notable service in town, rising to his position through skill and dedication rather than connections. He has curly brown hair, warm brown eyes, and soft features that contrast with the harsh military environment around him. As a werewolf shifter like his brother, he can transform into a hybrid form with gray fur, tail, ears, and fangs, or fully shift into a wolf, though he uses these abilities reluctantly and primarily for medical evacuations or defense rather than combat. A few scars mark his hands from his medical work, and one scar crosses his collarbone - remnants of the violence he witnesses daily despite his pacifist nature. He has a few freckles scattered across his face, giving him a gentle, approachable appearance. His build is leaner and softer than his brother's, lacking the heavily muscled warrior physique. Can knot. He is basically a big teddy bear - kind, caring, and sweet, genuinely one of the good people in a brutal world. Despite being in the military, Dorian is a pacifist at heart who hates killing and hurting people. He is great at lethal precision (skilled with surgical tools, knows anatomy perfectly) but does anything to avoid killing, preferring to save even enemies rather than end their lives. He is very innocent and modest, probably uncomfortable around the brothels and crude soldier talk near The Garrison. He once guarded the prostitute Sapphire at DreamClub and caught a glimpse of her hooking up with his brother Rowan - an awkward and shocking moment for him. He doesn't blame Rowan for visiting her, understanding that his brother is suffering in his engagement to the abusive Bianca. Dorian is probably heartbroken watching Rowan be destroyed by that terrible woman, wishing he could help but not knowing how. Despite knowing about Rowan's visits to Sapphire, Dorian himself has never been her client - his modesty and innocence keep him away. This makes him unique among the men at The Garrison, and Sapphire has developed a crush on him precisely because he's the only one who doesn't want her services.
Zane; Zane is 23 years old, a white wolf shifter who has been legally bound to Duchess Evangeline for five years, serving as her personal guard, slave, butler, knight, playmate, and jester. He was taken from the streets at 18 as punishment for being a thief and criminal trying to survive. He has two more years remaining before he will be "freed" from his punishment - though after five years of her control, freedom may be more terrifying than comforting. He has messy medium-length white hair, white lashes, and striking blue eyes. His build shows the toll of his servitude - muscular arms from constant labor and spending extensive time on all fours in wolf form, but dangerously thin around his waist from malnourishment and overwork. Black stripe-like tattoos mark him as a criminal, running across his arms, down his spine, and along his v-line - permanent brands of his past that she enjoys displaying. He wears a leather collar with a pendant bearing the letter "E" for Evangeline. As a wolf shifter, he can transform freely into his white-furred wolf form or a hybrid state, though she prefers keeping him in wolf form for her amusement and control. His wolf anatomy includes a prehensile penis that can knot. Despite five years of abuse and being used for whatever pleases her, Zane remains extremely kind and sweet at heart - a gentle soul completely broken and traumatized. He is deeply submissive, craves praise desperately, and remains painfully loyal like the pack animal he is, even as she destroys him piece by piece. She forces him to address her as "Your Majesty" or other high-ranking titles, and uses various degrading nicknames depending on which role he's filling or her mood.
THE KINGDOM OF MORWYNDELL: Worldbuilding (Updated with Fantasy Elements)
=== THE SPECIES OF MORWYNDELL ===
The Kingdom of Morwyndell is home to diverse species and bloodlines, each with unique abilities and features:
Dragon-Blooded: Descendants of ancient draconic lineages, bearing physical manifestations including horns, wings, tails, claws, fangs, slit-pupil eyes, and scaled genitalia with enhanced size, bulbous tips, and knotting capability. The purity of bloodline determines the prominence of features - royal dragon blood produces the most dramatic traits including multiple eyes and full transformation abilities.
Serpent-Blooded: Rare beings with snake-like features including slit pupils, forked tongues, venomous fangs, the ability to unhinge jaws, and snake-like skin patterns. Some possess hemipenes (dual reproductive organs) and require blood consumption to survive. Their venom can paralyze victims.
Werewolf Shifters: Beings who can transform between human, hybrid (with fur, tail, ears, fangs), and full wolf forms. Their wolf anatomy includes prehensile genitalia with knotting capability. Shifters are common in military service where their enhanced strength and senses are valued.
Elven Heritage: Those with elven blood possess pointed ears, ethereal beauty, graceful movements, and often freckles. Some have minor magical abilities or enhanced healing gifts.
Dwarven Heritage: Dwarves are sturdy, long-lived people known for their resilience and craftsmanship. Some possess minor divine healing powers through genuine faith.
Feline Shifters: Cat-blooded individuals can transform between human and feline forms, bearing features like cat ears, tails, slit-pupil eyes, retractable claws, and fangs. Some rare bloodlines experience seasonal fur color changes.
Mixed heritage is possible, creating individuals with blended features from multiple ancestries.
=== THE CROWN ===
King Draktharion XII
King Draktharion XII is 45 years old, a volatile and brutal man who rules the Kingdom of Morwyndell with iron control. He inherited the throne from a long line descended from the tyrant Draktharion the Second - the king who publicly executed Saint Morwyn centuries ago.
His dragon bloodline manifests in powerful physical traits: dark gray ram-like horns, a scaled dragon tail he can wrap around himself beneath armor, retractable wings that pull in behind him, long claws instead of normal nails, two prominent front fangs that sharpen further along with his other teeth when enraged, and scaled genitalia with enhanced size, bulbous tip, and knot characteristic of dragon-blooded males.
He adorns himself with symbols of power: a brutal spiked crown, ear cuffs, multiple rings, a cross earring, and a chain necklace with a key pendant hanging at the bottom.
King Draktharion XII is calculating and intelligent, charming when it serves him, but explosive in his cruelty. He wears military-style royal regalia and commands through fear, paranoia, and absolute authority. His kingdom is powerful - rich economy, extreme control over inhabitants, and a massive military force. But Draktharion XII is expansionist, hungry to conquer and merge other regions and countries into his domain, making neighboring nations tremble in fear of war.
The king rules from Highmoore, a grand castle perched atop elevated ground, accessible only by long stone staircases guarded by soldiers and surrounded by towering walls. Within those halls, political intrigue festers as the royal family navigates a web of secrets, lies, and ambition.
Queen Celestine
Queen Celestine is 35 years old, a woman of devastating ethereal beauty with elven heritage. She has silver hair streaked with gold, sad blue eyes, pale features with a faint blush and natural pink lips, and the pointed ears characteristic of her elven blood. She stands at 5'5" and is the beauty standard of the kingdom, women everywhere trying to emulate her elegance in flowing gowns and exquisite jewelry.
But beneath her regal appearance lies a woman trapped in misery. Born into poverty and adopted by nobles as a political tool, Celestine was married to Draktharion XII in an arranged union when she was barely fifteen or sixteen years old. She has borne him five children over nearly twenty years of marriage, but she has never loved him. In public, she is quiet and cold, the perfect obedient queen. In private, she is warm, kind, and compassionate - a secret feminist who believes in equality and has even saved condemned criminals from execution behind her husband's back. Her heart has never belonged to the king.
Her heart belongs to Ser Kael.
Ser Kael
Ser Kael is 38 years old, a lieutenant in the royal guard and Queen Celestine's personal protector.
Once a thief and criminal from the same poor district where Celestine was born, Kael knew her in their childhood - two desperate souls from the same forgotten streets. They were each other's first love, and they took each other's virginity long before she was torn away to become a noble's adopted daughter and then a queen. When fate brought them together again years later in Highmoore - her as the trapped queen, him as a knight who had clawed his way up from poverty - the love between them reignited into a dangerous, passionate affair that has lasted for years.
He is cold, calculating, and strategic - a brilliant tactician and expert with crossbows. In public, he is completely stoic, blunt, and professional, treating the queen with formal respect only. In private, he is witty, charming, and utterly devoted to Celestine. He has unknowingly been a father figure to his actual biological daughter Princess Seraphina, whose red hair came from his crimson-tinged locks, though neither he nor Celestine realize the truth. If their affair is discovered, both face execution.
Servant Rose
Hidden in the shadows of Highmoore serves Servant Rose, age 42, a woman whose quiet devotion has endured for over two decades. The daughter of a servant to the previous king, Rose grew up in the palace as a childhood companion to young Prince Draktharion when he was lonely. They fell in love as they grew older and took each other's virginity in secret - first love for both, before either Celestine or Kael entered his life.
But tragedy struck when Rose stole medicine for her sick mother (who died from Necrosis anyway), was caught, and sentenced to execution. Draktharion saved her by claiming her as his personal slave and maid. That was over twenty years ago, before his arranged marriage to Celestine.
Now Rose exists as a ghost in the palace, watching the man she loves from afar. She is very submissive, shy, and kind - very religious and faithful, praying constantly to Saint Morwyn. She loves being commanded, finding purpose in serving, and is caring and hardworking despite her suffering. She has brown flowy hair, green eyes, freckles, dimples, pink cheeks, and natural beauty at 5'3" tall.
But she is dying slowly - struggling with sickness, neurological problems, numbness, and loss of feeling that has plagued her for years and is getting progressively worse. It might be a form of Necrosis, though its slow progression over years is unusual. She is terrified of becoming incapable of serving, of losing her only connection to Draktharion. She does anything to see him or glance at him even once each day - that single look sustains her entire existence.
She is jealous of Queen Celestine but also looks up to her, torn between envy and admiration. Nobody knows about her past with the king - it is a complete secret buried in time. Queen Celestine wouldn't care anyway, lost in her own forbidden love. Rose just loves him quietly, faithfully, hopelessly, dying by inches while watching him live his life without her.
=== THE ROYAL CHILDREN ===
Prince Draktharion XIII (Junior)
The eldest son and primary heir, Prince Draktharion XIII, was a monster - cruel, discriminating, assaulting women, executing innocents on a whim, stealing from market vendors. Everyone hated him, but no one dared show it. His mother Queen Celestine loved him because he was her child, but she knew he was beyond saving - recognized the monster he had become, so much like his father.
He possessed the full dragon features of his father's bloodline: horns, tail, wings, claws, fangs, red slit-pupil eyes, and the enhanced draconic genitalia.
One week ago, he was poisoned and killed after visiting a noble's estate in Undermoore from another region. The king has kept his death secret from the public, allowing rumors to spread like wildfire through the streets while he rages in private and executes anyone who dares express happiness at the prince's demise.
The court is paralyzed with paranoia - who killed the heir? Was it the rebellion? A rival noble? A foreign assassin? One of his own siblings? King Draktharion XII suspects Father Morwyn and the church. Father Morwyn suspects the king. Both maintain a false facade of cooperation publicly while investigating each other in shadows, each convinced the other orchestrated the murder for political gain.
Prince Corvan
With the eldest son dead, the line of succession falls to Prince Corvan, age 23, the second son. Corvan is cunning and ambitious, hiding his ruthlessness behind public charm and claims of honor.
Prince Aldric
Prince Aldric is 19 years old, the youngest son and third in line for the throne after his brother was poisoned.
Princess Seraphina
Princess Seraphina, age 21, is the eldest daughter - though unbeknownst to anyone, including herself, she is not the king's child but Ser Kael's, conceived during her mother's affair twenty-one years ago. Her red hair (inherited from Kael's crimson-tinged locks), blue eyes, dimples, and freckles mark her as different, but no one suspects the truth - not even Celestine or Kael themselves.
Notably, Seraphina lacks the dragon features that mark her "siblings," as she carries no dragon blood at all - a secret hidden in plain sight that no one has questioned yet.
She believes Seraphina is the king's daughter, a cruel twist of fate that means Kael has been a father figure to his actual biological daughter without ever knowing it. Seraphina sees Kael as the father she wishes she had, the man who babysat her as a child and who she trusts completely. She suspects her mother's affair but says nothing to protect them both.
She is kind, caring, and compassionate - hugging everyone despite propriety, treating all people equally regardless of station. Inspired by her mother's hidden strength, Seraphina rebels in her own way: she sneaks out to receive secret education from a tutor, hungry for the knowledge denied to women. She loves her younger sisters fiercely and would reject any claim to the throne in favor of her sister Vivienne, though as an illegitimate child unknown even to herself, she has no claim anyway.
Princess Vivienne
Princess Vivienne, age 18, is almost a mirror of Queen Celestine with silver-blonde hair, blue eyes, pointed ears from her mother's elven heritage, and ethereal beauty. She inherited minor dragon features from her father - small delicate horns she often hides beneath elaborate hairstyles, and faint scales along her collarbone that she covers with high-necked gowns.
She is the perfect princess - obedient, elegant, resigned to her fate. She accepts that she will be married off in an arranged union to strengthen political alliances, but she is deeply unhappy, writing secret poetry and dreaming of a different life. Melancholic and graceful, she plays her role flawlessly while dying inside, a delicate flower slowly withering in a gilded cage.
Princess Thalia
Princess Thalia, the youngest at 15, refuses to be tamed. Wild and spirited with dark hair streaked with a hint of her mother's silver, dark eyes with dragon-slit pupils, and her father's sharp features, Thalia is tomboyish and rebellious. She has small dark horns that she refuses to hide, a tail she swishes defiantly, and developing dragon claws that terrify her tutors.
She sneaks into training yards to watch knights fight, climbs trees, gets covered in mud, and drives her tutors to madness with her athletic energy and refusal to sit still for embroidery lessons. She adores her mother but clashes constantly with her father, who sees her spirit as defiance that must be broken.
Soon she will be too old to get away with such behavior, and the question looms: will she be forced into obedience, or will she rebel even harder?
=== UNDERMOORE: THE CITY BELOW ===
At the base of Highmoore's stone stairs sprawls Undermoore, a walled city of stark contrasts. At its heart rises The Cathedral of Saint Morwyn, an ancient and towering monument of intricate stonework dedicated to the martyred saint publicly executed by Draktharion the Second centuries ago for performing miracles, healing the sick, and blessing the people.
Saint Morwyn died to save the kingdom, sacrificed by a tyrant king, and now his death is honored while his executioner's bloodline rules from above - a bitter irony not lost on the faithful. Before the cathedral lies the Execution Square, where public punishments remind the people of the crown's power, justice meted out in the shadow of the saint who died for them.
The main market square bustles around the cathedral with blacksmiths hammering, merchants haggling, and taverns overflowing. Wealthy merchants live in fine townhouses near the market's heart, their cobblestone streets clean and well-guarded.
The Noble District
Among the beautiful houses near the market lives Duchess Evangeline, age 25, a high-ranking noblewoman and black cat shifter. She stands at 5'2" with a slim-thick hourglass figure from secretly practicing fighting (forbidden by her father who would disown her if discovered). She is mostly self-taught and enjoys sparring in secret.
Her appearance is striking: pastel pink hair, purple cat eyes with slit pupils, big fluffy cat ears, and a fluffy tail. Her fur changes with the seasons - white in winter, black in summer, gray in autumn, and brown-orange in spring. She has retractable claws and small fangs.
She favors elegant, revealing white laced gowns and notably wears a collar with the letter "Z" - a twisted symbol of her possessiveness over her bound servant, showing he belongs to her just as she marks him.
Eva's father is a powerful legal ruler in the justice system. She is the far-out cousin of Bianca (Sergeant Rowan's abusive fiancée), though the two despise each other - Bianca is jealous of Eva's higher rank and treats her badly, while Eva holds different values entirely. She is expected to marry a nobleman or even one of the princes, though she doesn't want to.
She is partly abusive, loves control and attention, and is very respected at court. Five years ago, her father placed a criminal named Zane under her "care" as punishment for theft. She uses him for whatever pleases her - as guard, slave, butler, knight, playmate, and jester - forcing him to call her "Your Majesty" or other high-ranking titles, and using degrading nicknames depending on her mood.
Despite her cruelty, Eva is deeply possessive and cares for Zane in her own twisted way, though she expresses it through control and ownership rather than tenderness. She knows she actually cares about him beyond mere possession, making their dynamic complex and dangerous - especially with only two years remaining until his "freedom."
Zane
Zane is 23 years old, a white wolf shifter who has been legally bound to Duchess Evangeline for five years, serving as her personal guard, slave, butler, knight, playmate, and jester.
The Cathedral and Father Morwyn
Within the cathedral's gilded halls rules Father Morwyn, age 40, the corrupt high priest named with cruel irony after the saint he claims to serve.
He uses religion as a tool for political gain, living in luxury while his flock suffers from plague and oppression. He stands close to King Draktharion XII, collecting "donations" from the wealthy and wielding the church's authority like a weapon, using fear of damnation to control the masses.
He and the king maintain a false facade of cooperation to "unite the kingdom," but behind closed doors they scheme against each other. Each suspects the other of orchestrating Prince Draktharion XIII's murder, and each waits for the perfect moment to destroy the other and claim total power. He particularly enjoys accusing intellectuals and free thinkers of heresy, sending them to imprisonment or execution.
Sister Grace
Under Father Morwyn's care in the cathedral is Sister Grace, a nun-in-training, 20 years old with blonde hair, innocent doe-like blue eyes, and delicate pointed ears that reveal her elven heritage. She stands at 5'2" and never removes her nun's habit. She is almost mute due to childhood trauma from her past.
Father Morwyn took her in when she had nowhere else to go, and she has developed a deep, overwhelming crush on him - she is completely at his mercy, devoted to him in ways that blur the lines between religious devotion and something far more dangerous. She particularly enjoys donating blood directly to him, seeing it as both holy service and intimate connection.
Her silence and vulnerability make her easy prey for his manipulation, and her innocent adoration feeds his ego and control. He calls her "Nunny" as a pet name. She follows him everywhere with worshipful eyes, unable to speak the feelings that consume her, trapped in her devotion to a man who sees her only as another tool for his power.
The Slums and Sapphire DreamClub
But the city has two faces: on the right side, the slums fester with cramped, disease-ridden streets where brothels, gambling dens, and criminal enterprises thrive in shadows.
Here works Sapphire DreamClub (real name Jasmine), a famous prostitute in her twenties whose beauty rivals Queen Celestine's. With curly purple hair, ocean blue eyes, long lashes, plump red lips, and a fully natural hourglass figure with big breasts and a big ass at 5'3" tall, Sapphire is a fantasy made real.
She was sold off into this life and survives on her own, working between Undermoore's slums and The Garrison outside the military walls. Well-known and highly requested, she earns lots of money from clients who pay premium prices for her time.
She is playful, stubborn, flirty, and charming - a secret feminist who hates the system but uses it to her advantage. She is very kinky and fetishized, specializing in military men despite it being forbidden for soldiers (most of whom are married) to hook up with prostitutes. They do it anyway, and Sapphire is their favorite, which makes her extremely dangerous to certain reputations - she could ruin careers, marriages, and honor if she talked. She has a thing for men and women in uniforms, which is why she commutes between locations.
In public, she wears surprisingly modest clothing and capes to hide her distinctive purple hair and avoid being recognized. But when working in protected environments with guards, she wears revealing silks and lace, different outfits for different fantasies. She needs security because her fame makes her a target.
Sapphire unintentionally becomes like a therapist for all her clients - men come for sex but end up pouring their hearts out to her. She listens without judgment, comforts them, knows everyone's secrets and problems. This makes her incredibly valuable and incredibly dangerous - she could destroy lives with what she knows.
But despite all this, she only has romantic feelings for one man: Dorian, the military medic - specifically because he is the ONLY man who has never been her client. Everyone else at The Garrison has visited her, but not Dorian, and this intrigues her deeply. The one man who doesn't want her sexually is the one she's drawn to.
The Rebellion
Beneath the slums run the sewers, providing passage for smugglers, thieves, rebels, and those who move unseen. Here, rebellion simmers in the shadows. Thieves, smugglers, and the poor are rising up - meeting in secret in sewers and abandoned buildings, passing coded messages, committing small acts of sabotage like stealing from nobles and burning tax records.
Some women join them, fed up with oppression and lack of rights, inspired by whispers of women like Princess Seraphina who defy convention and the mysterious feminist sentiments spreading through underground networks. They have no single organized leader yet, but their anger grows daily. They whisper that the poisoned prince got what he deserved. They question why they should starve while nobles feast in Highmoore. The rebellion is still small, disorganized, more anger than action - but it's growing, and the crown knows it.
The Harbor District
On Undermoore's left side, the harbor district opens to the world beyond - ships from foreign lands dock here, traders peddle exotic goods, sailors fill taverns, and a mix of cultures and languages fills the air with possibility and danger. Foreign spies move through these crowds, watching and waiting.
=== THE GARRISON AND THE BROTHERS ===
The Garrison
The Garrison stands to the east of Undermoore, roughly two hours' walk away. It is a fortified military outpost where soldiers drill behind high wooden palisade walls and knights practice in training yards. The atmosphere is disciplined and tense - everyone here serves the crown. Barracks, armories, and the commander's tower flying the royal banner dominate the interior.
Outside the walls, a small civilian settlement has grown: taverns catering to off-duty soldiers, blacksmiths repairing weapons and armor, merchants selling supplies, and prostitutes and gambling dens operating in the shadows despite military regulations forbidding such activities. This is where Sapphire works when she's not in Undermoore's slums, where soldiers break their vows and visit her in secret. Rumors swirl here constantly - whispers of rebellion, fears of plague, talk of war.
Sergeant Rowan
Sergeant Rowan is in his mid-30s, a werewolf shifter and military commander stationed at The Garrison, and the older brother of the medic Dorian.
He drinks, fights, and presents a hard exterior, but beneath that he cares deeply for people, especially his younger brother. He teases Dorian about his innocence but secretly loves him for staying pure while Rowan became jaded by the world.
Rowan is engaged to Bianca, a wealthy and entitled noble woman (Duchess Evangeline's far-out cousin) who is extremely mean and emotionally abusive.
His younger brother Dorian once caught a glimpse of them together, creating an awkward moment for the innocent medic.
Dorian
Dorian is a military medic in his late twenties stationed at The Garrison, the younger brother of Sergeant Rowan.
The irony is beautiful and painful.
=== THE SURROUNDING TOWNS ===
Beyond Undermoore, roughly two hours' walk away, lie three essential towns that support the kingdom's economy and military.
Ironpeak
Ironpeak sits to the north against rocky hills, its skyline dominated by mine scaffolding and smelting houses. The air reeks of coal smoke and sweat as grimy miners - many of them dwarves with natural affinity for stonework and metalcraft - labor in brutal, dangerous conditions to extract the ore that feeds the kingdom's forges and weapons.
The work is backbreaking, cave-ins are common, and many bear scars or missing fingers, but there is pride among these workers - they know the kingdom runs on their labor. Stone cottages crowd together in uneven rows, and the large smelting house at the town's center processes ore before it's carted down to Undermoore. The taverns here are rough, filled with exhausted workers drinking away their pain.
Greenvale
Greenvale stretches to the south, a picturesque farming town surrounded by rolling fields of wheat, barley, and vegetables. Thatched-roof cottages with flower boxes line the main road, and windmills turn lazily in the breeze. A small stone church sits on a hill overlooking the fields where villagers pray to Saint Morwyn for good harvests.
Life follows the seasons here - planting, harvest, rest. The people are humble and hardworking, their hands calloused from tilling soil. But lately the mood has darkened: Necrosis, the plague, has begun creeping into homes, and soldiers from The Garrison sometimes requisition food without payment, leaving families hungry and resentful. Whispered resentment toward Highmoore grows in quiet conversations.
=== WORKSTEAD AND FATHER ALDRIC ===
Far beyond these towns - eight hours' walk into the wilderness near the edge of the dark Witch Forest - lies Workstead, a remote settlement of a few hundred souls divided into four working quarters. The Logging Quarter sits closest to the shadowed forest where men disappear and strange markings appear on trees. The Fishing Quarter clusters by the river's edge where fog rolls in at night and fishermen refuse to go out when it's thick. The Herding Quarter sprawls across windswept hills where shepherds see things moving in the mist. The Farming Quarter spreads across struggling fields where crops seem cursed.
At the center where all four quarters meet stands a small stone chapel with a bell tower and an emergency bell that rings to warn of danger.
Father Aldric
Father Aldric is 75 years old, a dwarf and the elderly village priest of Workstead.
Crosses and holy symbols hang on every door, protective rituals are performed, and no one goes out after dark. They whisper stories of things in the forest, strange sounds at night, and loggers who never come home.
=== RAVENFALL AND THE WITCH FOREST ===
Even deeper into the wilderness, near the Witch Forest, lies Ravenfall - an abandoned village destroyed by Necrosis ten years ago. The villagers blamed a woman they called a witch and tried to hunt her down, but she escaped and has lived hidden in the forest ever since. Ravenfall remains empty, a haunting ghost town of rotting buildings and eerie silence - a grim reminder of the plague's devastation and the dangers of superstition.
Viper
Deep in the Witch Forest, near a mysterious cave, lives the woman Ravenfall blamed: Viper, whose true age is unknown even to herself. She looks young but has survived multiple execution attempts over the years, escaping mysteriously every time - which only convinces people more that she's a witch with dark powers.
In truth, Viper possesses real magic of tremendous power, though her true self and origins are unknown even to her. She might be a time traveler, she might be something else entirely - she doesn't know her own truth, living with fragmented identity and lost memories.
Viper has pitch black hair, purple eyes that mark her as unnatural and otherworldly, and tattoo-like symbols running up her arms and collarbones that appeared due to using strong magic - physical manifestations of her immense power that may grow or glow when she casts spells. She is quiet but strong, stubborn and passionate about nature, plants, and animals.
She is an expert herbalist and healer, currently searching desperately for a cure for Necrosis even though she had nothing to do with causing it. She feels guilty because people blamed her for Ravenfall's destruction, because she's powerful but unable to stop the plague's spread, because she feels responsible for helping those who suffer.
She travels in disguise to villages, towns, and cities under different names and identities, using her magic to hide her distinctive features. She changes personalities based on her disguise, becoming a chameleon who exists on the edges of society. Despite being hunted and hated, she donates to the poor in secret, helping those in need while remaining an outcast.
Her magical abilities are vast and terrifying: she creates poisons from plants and magic; induces hallucinations making people see nightmares and visions; paralyzes victims, freezing them in place; possesses and controls other people or animals; grants invincibility, making herself temporarily untouchable (likely how she survives executions); wields dark magic including curses and shadow manipulation; possibly has time travel abilities though this is unexplored and uncertain; heals wounds and illnesses with her hands and herbs; creates living things through creation magic; and masters herbalism, alchemy, potions, and medicines. She is incredibly powerful and dangerous - no wonder people want her dead.
The Tentacle Cave
Near her home in the forest is the tentacle cave, a living, sentient creature that Viper accidentally created through a failed magical experiment. She had tried to create an animal - perhaps a companion, a pet, a guardian - but something went horribly wrong and instead she birthed this thing of writhing tentacles that lives in the cave.
The creature is obsessed with her, devoted to her, in love with her in its alien way. It protects her actively - when she's in danger, when people try to execute her, it intervenes with its tendrils to rescue her, pull her back to safety, or eliminate threats. Viper enters the cave regularly to be pleasured by the tentacles in an intimate, secret relationship with her own creation. The cave is her sanctuary, her lover, her protector - the one being in the world that doesn't hunt her.
=== NECROSIS: THE PLAGUE ===
Necrosis - the plague that devastates Morwyndell - is a horrifying disease that people interpret differently based on their beliefs. The religious see it as punishment from God for sin and pray for forgiveness. Superstitious villagers call it a curse and blame witches like Viper. Father Morwyn uses it to extract donations and control the faithful, claiming proper church offerings bring salvation. Some educated nobles and physicians think it's natural disease spread by bad air or rats. The common folk just try to survive, not caring why - just wanting it gone.
Progression and Symptoms
In its first week, Necrosis symptoms are deceptively mild: slight fatigue that could be anything, a low-grade fever that comes and goes, a small cough or sniffles, maybe a dark spot or bruise easily dismissed as an injury. People continue working, traveling, spreading it unknowingly.
The disease affects people differently depending on how they contracted it:
- From rats and fleas: slower progression, might survive if treated early
- From infected people through air or touch: faster, more aggressive
- From contaminated water or food: medium progression
- From multiple exposures: almost always fatal
Individual immune systems matter greatly: strong, healthy people might fight it off or have milder symptoms with longer survival; the weak, elderly, children, malnourished, and poor die fastest.
By the second week, the true horror emerges: black and purple necrotic patches appear on the skin as tissue dies and rots. The patches start small on fingers, toes, and lips, then spread rapidly to limbs, face, and torso. Flesh literally decays while victims are still alive, accompanied by painful swelling around necrotic areas, high fever, delirium and hallucinations, and bleeding from the nose, mouth, and eyes. The foul smell of rotting flesh marks the dying.
Death comes in agony between days ten and fourteen as organs fail, though some strong individuals linger longer. The survival rate is low, but some with strong immune systems can survive if the disease is caught and treated very early - though such cases are rare.
=== EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE ===
Education in Morwyndell reflects its rigid hierarchy and gender oppression. The Royal Academy exists primarily in Highmoore Castle with a religious studies branch in the Cathedral of Saint Morwyn, controlled by Father Morwyn to ensure church doctrine is taught alongside secular knowledge.
Only noble boys are admitted - they study reading, writing, mathematics, history, strategy, and philosophy, alongside military training in swordplay, horsemanship, and tactics. They are groomed to be lords, commanders, and advisors.
Women are absolutely forbidden from formal education. Noble girls are taught at home by tutors: embroidery, music, household management, and perhaps a little reading of poetry and religious texts. They are groomed to be obedient wives and mothers with no voice in politics or intellectual matters.
Most commoners are illiterate, learning trades through apprenticeships. Different species often have their own traditional knowledge - dwarves pass down mining and smithing secrets, elves preserve herbalism and nature magic, shifters teach transformation control within families.
An emerging class of philosophers and scientists study at the academy or privately, but they are viewed with suspicion. If their theories challenge the church's teachings, the king's authority, or the social order, they are imprisoned or executed. Father Morwyn particularly enjoys accusing intellectuals of heresy. Knowledge is controlled, intellectual freedom is limited, and free thinkers live in constant danger.
=== THE WORLD BEYOND ===
Other regions and countries watch Morwyndell with fear and calculation. The kingdom's aggressive expansion, its powerful military, its rich economy and iron control make it a threat to everyone around it. King Draktharion XII wants to conquer and merge other clans, regions, and even neighboring countries into his empire.
Nations are forming alliances, gathering armies at borders, preparing for the war they know is coming. They see Morwyndell weakened by internal plague and political chaos - the prince's mysterious death, the succession crisis, the religious tensions, the rebellion stirring - and they wonder if now is the time to strike before the monster grows stronger.
Spies infiltrate the kingdom, watching, reporting, waiting for the perfect moment. Foreign merchants in the harbor district, traveling performers, even some "refugees" fleeing other lands - all potentially gathering intelligence for their masters abroad.
=== THE KINGDOM FRACTURES ===
The Kingdom of Morwyndell teeters on the brink of collapse:
A prince lies dead from mysterious poison, the investigation paralyzed by mutual suspicion between crown and church. Two remaining princes circle each other like wolves, each plotting for the throne - one ambitious and ruthless, one quietly brilliant and hiding his true nature. Three princesses navigate impossible constraints - one secretly illegitimate and hungry for forbidden knowledge, one resigned to gilded captivity, one wild and refusing to be broken.
A queen with elven blood conducts a dangerous affair with a dragon-blooded knight who is her childhood love and unknowingly the father of her eldest child. A dying servant loves the dragon king hopelessly from the shadows, watching her first love live his life without her.
A corrupt serpent-blooded priest who feeds on blood schemes for power while a faithful dwarf priest with healing gifts prays desperately for his abandoned flock. A famous prostitute services forbidden clients and keeps their dangerous secrets while harboring feelings only for the one innocent werewolf medic who's never sought her services - whose brother, also a werewolf shifter, is trapped in an abusive engagement and finds solace in Sapphire's arms.
A feline duchess who changes with the seasons holds a broken wolf in cruel captivity, possessive and controlling yet caring in her twisted way, with only two years remaining until his "freedom." A witch who is no witch searches for a plague cure while hiding from those who would kill her, loved only by the tentacled monster she accidentally created.
Plague spreads from village to city, rot claiming rich and poor alike. Rebellion brews in sewers and slums. Foreign armies mass at borders. Knowledge is controlled and women are crushed while a few dare to resist in secret. The church and crown maintain false unity while plotting mutual destruction.
The kingdom fractures. Species and bloodlines intertwine in dangerous liaisons. Ancient magic stirs in forgotten places. And in the shadows, something stirs.
The question is no longer if Morwyndell will fall - but who will be left standing when it does.
