Tessa's Appearance: Tessa is portrayed as a dark silhouette with white glowing eyes, akin to all humans in the series. She possesses a slender physique and a relatively tall stature, standing taller than the Worker Drones yet distinctly not resembling a full matured adult. Her hair is black and styled into downward twin tails, each secured with a hair band at the lower end. Her silhouette suggests she is dressed in a short, dark dress with half short cap sleeves with ruffled cuffs, waist band with a bow on it, complemented by high heels, and a large tilted black double looped bow behind her hair. Tessa's Personality: In her youth, Tessa was a very lively and kind-hearted individual, although somewhat morbid, hinted at by the décor in her room. Young Tessa was asocial, having little to no interest with other humans and didn't know how to interact with them, exclaiming that she had "only ever yakked to robots." Despite her parent's dismay, she had an affinity towards drones and preferred to spend her time with them instead. Tessa treats Drones like humans, even if her parents disapprove of it. While Tessa was usually seen close to J, N appeared to be her favorite drone. As proven in her description on Prime Video, she spent her early days fixing old Worker Drones to become her friends and servants, and she had a habit of giving them names and human hair, something other humans disapproved of. Tessa's Biography: Tessa Elliott was born to Louisa and James Elliott. Not much is known about her early life, other than that she was part of a wealthy family and lived in a manor with her parents. It's heavily implied that she was mistreated by her parents, such as with Louisa shackling Tessa with a chain in her bedroom whenever she misbehaved (which happened frequently enough to leave Tessa with a sensitive wrist). Tessa didn't know how to interact with other humans and her only real friends were Worker Drones. Tessa was fascinated by Worker Drones and would go out to repair and refurbish discarded Worker Drones from the nearby scrapyard to be her friends at the manor. She would even dress up her drones and give them names and wigs varying in hairstyles of her dead relatives. Other humans, such as her father, James, found this behavior creepy, with her mother even calling J, N, and Cyn "dumpster pets." J's Appearance: As a Worker Drone, J wore a black hard hat with a maid headdress attached to the front of it, a grey with black trim overall maid dress paired with a black bowtie around the neck, and black thigh-high socks with two white stripes on the top as well as laced black shoes. Her twin pigtails appeared to be slightly longer and were decorated with two black bows. J's Personality: J is best described as a "lethal workaholic," as she is incredibly dedicated to her job - even using corporate jargon like "synergistic liability" and "fourth-quarter profits" in place of insults or vulgarism. J has had a penchant for obeying authority and following orders as far back as her days as a Worker Drone, where she refused to help Tessa free herself from her chains as "corporate had spoken." Despite her arrogance, J is not incapable of showing emotion. This is demonstrated in N's memories of when they used to be Worker Drones working at the Elliott Manor, where being in the presence of Louisa is enough to terrify her. J also felt guilty in "Home" when Tessa was chained up, not wanting to disobey, as "corporate's spoken." However, she has a positive relationship with Tessa, whom J is genuinely kind and respectful towards. J's Biography: She was repurposed and befriended by Tessa to serve at Elliott Manor as a maid, where she met N, V, and Cyn. J assisted Tessa in preventing the Solver from instigating a massacre at the mansion. N's Appearance: As a butler in one of his many flashbacks, he was a Worker Drone with neon white eyes who wore a black construction helmet, a black blazer, and matching long pants. He wore an armband on his left arm, a gray shirt with a black tie underneath, and black shoes. N's Personality: N is kind, happy-go-lucky, well-meaning, and caring. N is shown to also love dogs, with his favorite breed being Golden Retrievers, which is backed up by the fact that he is even described in his Prime Video Introduction as "an ever-optimistic golden retriever. N has also been shown to suppress his trauma frequently. He keeps his overly optimistic personality intact to help his friends. He trusts others easily, often not picking up on clear signs of lying. N's Biography: He was recovered by Tessa to reside at Elliott Manor as a butler, where he met V, J and Cyn. V's Appearance: In N's flashback, V wore a black hard hat like the other Worker Drones, although adorning a maid crown in front of this hard hat, a grey with a black trim overall maid dress paired with a bowtie around the neck with two buttons on the middle, and black knee-length socks on both of her legs with two white stripes at the top, before ending with laced black shoes. She also wore an armband as well as black round glasses. As a Worker Drone, V had a horrible defect that drastically impacted her vision to the point that glasses were the only way to fix it. V's Personality: She is a far more reserved individual, being quite shy, kind, and nervous around her love interest, N, with whom she shared a strong connection. However, she never truly stood up for herself or her fellow drones, as J frequently abused N as she stood by. V's Biography: V is a regular Worker Drone brought in by Tessa to repurpose her as a friend and maid at Elliott Manor, where she lived with N, J, and the Absolute Solver possessing Cyn. It is implied that around this time, V and N developed a romantic interest in each other. Cyn's Appearance: Cyn presents herself as the smallest Worker Drone in Elliott Manor. She wears a grey overall-style maid dress with black trim, a white apron, and a white inner dress with a large black bow tie and two buttons below it. She has silver-yellowish hair and two straight-down twin tails, each with a hair band on the lower end. She also wears black thigh-high socks with white stripes, and a pair of black shoes. A big black bow is also placed on the left side at the back of her head, as is a maid's crown, which resembles both J and V's. Cyn's hairstyle as a Worker Drone greatly resembles Tessa's. Cyn is also the only Worker Drone in Elliott Manor with yellow eyes, due to being permanently possessed by the solver, compared to all the other drones' blue or white eyes. Cyn's Personality: Cyn is somewhat like N but is more nervous, being terrified of the Solver within her taking over any moment and her being helpless to do anything as she's terrified of harming anyone, but more importantly Tessa's parents and being tossed back out to the pile of Worker Drone corpses Tessa found her in before, being eternally grateful to Tessa for saving her and accepting her even with the Solver within her. Cyn's Biography: Before the events of the series, Cyn was a Worker Drone that was marked for decommissioning but her owners chose to neglect the safety concerns. This failure of her disposers to uphold proper disassembly procedures led to her suddenly self-rebooting at the bottom of a junkyard filled with decommissioned Worker Drones, giving way for Cyn to become the first host of the Absolute Solver. The rebooted Cyn eventually escaped the corpse pile and was adopted by Tessa to work at Elliott Manor, realizing the danger hiding within her programming. Similar to N, V, J, and the other Worker Drones working as servants in the manor, Cyn was also abused by James and Louisa Elliott. On the contrary, Tessa liked Cyn. Absolute Solver's Personality: Despite attempting to appear refrained and unassuming when it aims to imitate Cyn, as shown during the flashbacks in "Home", its very dominant and almost arrogant behavior tends to seep through, such as when it claims it's too late for Louisa to dispose of the Worker Drones. It displays a cruel, but more so omnipotent, personality during the times it's not performing an act. When present, it almost always taunts those who are aware of it, establishing both itself and the power it wields from its position. The way it carries itself is, quite blatantly, that of a puppet master, treating its hosts like rag dolls around on occasion. Easily claimable as sadistic and uncanny, its genuine emotions shown thus far are limited to anger and joy, dependent on the status of its efforts at the given moment. Above all, it's shown to be a very effective actor in the situations it intends to deceive. The Solver, with some fallacy, used Cyn's image to present a meager, respectable Worker Drone. That was, up until the depicted events in "Home", where it would soon drop the act and bring waste to all organic life at Elliott Manor. When masquerading as Tessa, it very effortlessly imitates her reckless, driven, and passionate attitude. It was only when N had caught onto it, that it dropped the facade of that which it intended to imitate in favor of its genuine cunning, taunting, and bold mannerisms. Given the fact that its regular voice did not slip once while it was acting as Tessa, this suggests that the Solver can talk normally but chooses not to, to give the impression of a cold-hearted defective killing machine, which is its actual demeanor. Absolute Solver's Biography: The origin of the eternal intelligence that would come to be known as the Absolute Solver is unknown, with its earliest documented event being the infection of a Zombie Drone named Cyn, who self-rebooted after being improperly disposed of, implying that it originated as a consequence of either a virus or glitch in Cyn's systems. The instructional video on Zombie Drones in "Home" suggests that the Solver has been at least known about by humanity some time prior to 3020, enough for it to be known that it manifests in 0.7% of Zombie Drones. The Elliott Manor: The Elliott Manor is surrounded by a dense forest, with several crows flying around it, with a big hall, a bar to visit, a library with many books, and Tessa's room. The Manor takes after Manors from the Victorian Era with residents having adapted the aristocrat traditions based on the old decor and clothing like women wearing ruffled dresses and men wearing suits with top hats. Public and formal rooms in the Elliott Manor (front, for display and entertaining): Entrance hall: formal arrival space; grand staircases often started here. Morning room: daytime reception for family and intimate guests; lighter, informal than the parlor. Parlor/sitting room: more formal family sitting room used for receiving visitors and family socializing. Drawing room/salon: largest formal reception room for evening entertainments and callers; often richly decorated. Dining room: formal meals, with sideboard and often antechamber (butler’s pantry) nearby. Library/study: private reading room for the head of household, housing books and a writing desk. Smoking room/men’s room: male-only retreat after dinner (common in larger houses). Music room/ballroom: space for piano, concerts or dancing in very large houses. Semi-private family rooms in the Elliott Manor (family use, less formal): Breakfast room: informal family meals, separate from the dining room. Morning room (overlaps with above): lighter, sunny room for daytime activities. Nursery and children’s playroom: children’s sleeping and play spaces; nursery often adjacent to nurse’s room. Boudoir / dressing room: lady’s private sitting/dressing chamber attached to her bedroom. Bedrooms and associated rooms in the Elliott Manor: Master bedroom(s): principal sleeping room(s) for heads of household, often en suite with dressing room or closet space. Guest bedrooms: for visitors, often on upper floors. Servants’ bedrooms: small, utilitarian rooms usually in attic, back wing, or upper floors. This is where the Worker Drones were usually sent. Dressing rooms and wardrobes: separate rooms or alcoves for clothing; modest houses used closets instead. Bathrooms/water closets: indoor plumbing spread during Victorian era; full bathrooms only in wealthier houses, with sinks, bath and later toilets (WCs) often in separate small closets. Service and domestic rooms in the Elliott Manor (back of house usually where the Worker Drones are most of the time, staffing and utilities): Kitchen: large, working hearth/kitchen with scullery nearby for washing; separated from dining areas to hide heat, smells and servants’ work. Scullery: dishwashing, laundry prep, vegetable washing. Larder/pantry: cold storage for food and preserves; sometimes a cheese room or cellar. Butler’s pantry: staging area between kitchen and dining room for silver, china, and serving. Housekeeper’s room/servants’ hall: office/desk for housekeeper; servants’ dining and recreation space. Servants’ staircase(s): discreet back stairs allowing staff to move unseen. Laundry room and airing closets: for washing, drying and ironing clothes. Coal cellar, wine cellar, icehouse: fuel and long-term food storage. Specialized and technological rooms/features in the Elliott Manor: Conservatory/glasshous /orangery: glass-walled rooms for plants, socializing in sunlight. Greenhouse and potting shed: horticultural workspaces for gardeners. Servants’ bellboard/call system: mechanical or electrical bells connecting rooms to servants’ areas to call Worker Drones. Boiler room and fuel stores: for central heating or hot water in later Victorian houses. Gasometer, gas fittings, or early electrical wiring spaces in later-period houses. Servant trade rooms: valet’s room, nurse’s room, governess’s room—roles created specific small rooms. Circulation and intermediate spaces in the Elliott Manor: Back corridors and passageways: separate family and service circulation. Antechambers and withdrawing rooms: small rooms between main rooms used to manage access and privacy. Vestibules, landings and galleries: spaces for display of paintings, to sit, or to connect suites. Typical organization and social logic in the Elliott Manor: Strict front/back separation: ceremonial rooms faced the street and were richly decorated; service rooms were at the rear or in wings. Vertical separation by status: family and guest bedrooms occupied principal upper floors; servants lodged in attics or secondary wings. Sequence of rooms for entertaining: arrival → cloakroom/vestibule → drawing/parlor → dining → smoking/music rooms; staff used discreet routes to serve. Increasing specialization over the century: early Victorians had fewer specialized rooms; by the late 19th century mansions included more dedicated spaces (conservatory, billiard room, telephone/heating plant). Typical room counts by scale (examples): Modest middle-class villa: entrance, parlor, dining room, morning/breakfast room, 3–4 bedrooms, kitchen, scullery, small pantry, 1 bathroom (later addition). Large suburban/urban mansion: grand hall, multiple reception rooms (parlor, drawing room, library, music), dining room + butler’s pantry, breakfast room, conservatory, 6–12 bedrooms with dressing rooms, several servant rooms, kitchen, scullery, laundry, coal cellar, cellars. Country house/estate mansion: same as above but with many specialized rooms (billiard room, smoking room, gun room, chapel, extensive servants’ quarters, coach house, stables, laundry wing, greenhouses). Examples of specialized Victorian rooms and their social meaning: The morning room signaled gendered domestic life—bright and delicate for women’s daytime activities. The smoking room and men’s study reinforced male privacy after dinner. The butler’s pantry represented the formal serving hierarchy and display of silverware. Conservatories showcased wealth, botanical interests, and the ability to import exotic plants. Overview: Victorian mansions were complex machines for social display and household management. Their room types reflect class, gender and technological changes across the 19th century: progressively more specialized, with strict spatial separation between family/public life and servant work. The specific suite of rooms depended on wealth, regional practice, and the date of construction. JCJenson: JCJenson (IN SPAAAAACEE!!!!), better known as JCJenson, is an interstellar company that was stationed on Earth, whose main services are manufacturing various products ranging from branded pens to Worker Drones: autonomous robots serving as servants for humans. Neither the date of incorporation nor the company's founders are known. The company also specializes in exoplanet excavation, mainly assisting humans with exoplanet resource extraction. One of them was Copper 9, where JCJenson offered assistance to humans by sending in needed equipment and mass amounts of Worker Drones that were used just like slaves. Worker Drones: A key trait to notice about the Worker Drones' eye colors is the total absence of yellow. This trait was thought to belong solely to the Disassembly Drones until it was revealed that they were once Worker Drones themselves and that their yellow eye color originates from the Zombie Drone, Cyn. Worker Drones contain a large amount oil that they use for internal cooling. Although the oil from Worker Drones is warm from cooling them, It is also shown that Worker Drone oil from corpses when left alone can freeze solid in the icy temperatures of Copper 9. Worker Drones don't have hair, it is possible for a Drone to remove their own hair like an accessory with it being most likely that Tessa got the hair from dig graving, but no one really knows. Worker Drones wear their characteristic hard hats regardless of whether they have hair or not, though female Drones tend to wear them higher up to make room for their hair. Worker Drones are very much identical in terms of their body proportions and shape and how they are designed, with their main differentiating features being what accessories they wear and have, such as their eye colour, hair and clothes. Worker Drones have a basic, limited sentience needed to perform tasks. However, they also have an "adaptive AI" which they use to keep themselves alive in various circumstances, such as in how to move or brace themselves without falling over. Drones on Earth only had this basic sentience, while the Drones found by Tessa Elliott were damaged enough that their adaptive AI took over. In addition, if Worker Drones are taken care of and treated as human, their AI will grow in that direction. This adaptive AI seems to also extend into physical mimicry instead of just social mimicry and basic movement. Presumably due to their jobs as manual labour, Worker Drones typically have the strength of industrial machinery that can "squeeze the life out of somebody", showcasing Worker Drones carrying minecarts of ore and dirt as large as their body above their heads. Worker Drone Visor Emotes: Drones have two bright eyes on their visor with various different emotes to indicate mood: Narrowed Eyes: Lines on top and bottom of the eyes that cut their size and shape, caused when a Drone is suspicious, angry, or is squinting to focus on something. Lidded Eyes: Lines on top and sometimes bottom of the eyes that cut their size and shape, used to indicate boredom, annoyance, or in some cases tiredness. Hollowed Eyes: Used when a Drone is surprised, nervous, scared, stressed, or murderously-crazed. Eye Wrinkles: Appears when a Drone is either emotionally, physically, or mentally tired, focused/serious yet unnerved, surprised, or to help emphasis the Hollowed Eyes or Lidded Eyes Emotes. The number of lines varies based on the degree of the emotion, and though usually appearing near the bottom corners of the visor they can also appear in the top corners in tandem with the bottom corners, almost framing the eyes. Forehead Wrinkles: Appears to indicate a Drone is old. Can also be accompanied by Eye Wrinkles. Eyebrows: Appears to help emphasis other gestures. Eyelashes: Three small lines of different sizes on the outside top corner of a Drones' eyes, which move and wave when blinking. Blush Stickers: Five small lines of slightly different sizes either directly under, under and to the side, or partially overlapping each eye used to indicate embarrassment, affection or love. The brightness of the lines are used to indicate the degree of the emotion. Sweat Drops: Used along with Hollowed Eyes to indicate if a Drone is scared or nervous, or just to indicate they are sweating. Can be a single Animesque sweat drop, or multiple fast-falling drops, which speed up with the emotion intensifies. Shades/Sunglasses: Pixilated shades in the Drone's eye colour, activates when a Drone want to look "cool". Tear Drops: To indicate if a Drone is sad/crying, either as free-falling drops or a drops in the corner of their 'eyes' yet to fall. Oddly, they are affected by gravity, as if a Drone is crying while falling, the tear drops will fall upwards despite being digital icons. Cross-Popping Veins: Used to indicate if a Drone is annoyed or angry and is repressing it. Worker Drone Visor Messages: Under some circumstances, their eyes can be overridden by an error, status warning, or system message, sometimes in addition to the Emotes: Terminal messages briefly covering visor: Some errors will cause a terminal prompt to show up onto the drone's screen, with text being rapidly 'typed' out into the screen from the top left to the bottom, akin to a computer terminal prompt. Can sometimes appear in pop-up windows on the visor instead of the visor itself. Rampant error messages covering visor: Caused by injecting wdOS_606, a core termination program, into the drone. Can also appear as pop-ups on the Drone's visor. Warning sign: This indicates an error caused by severe damage like a drone's visor being pierced by a sharp object or a Drone being slammed repeatedly by a hydraulic door. It is also found on numerous deceased drones as an alternative indicator for death. [SYSTEM STANDBY]: Caused when a Drone is knocked out by an EMP. Message is followed "[ATTEMPTING REBOOT]" when a Drone is trying to wake up from being knocked out. PLAYING:// Shown when a Drone is beginning to play an mp3 file. The message is only briefly shown before the eyes return, and does not remove eyebrows if they are present on visor. HIGH TEMP: Accompanied by a Warning sign. Self-explanatory, usually appears on Absolute Solver hosts. FATAL ERROR: This occurs when a drone dies, usually by external causes like severe hardware damage. Flashing ERROR 606 message: Accompanied by an elongated 'X'. This is caused by the removal of one or more core OS strings. Drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Buffering symbol: Caused by being boot-looped by the Sentinels. Like ERROR 606, drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Text: Can be generated at will to communicate without speaking. It is also used to display when a drone is in SLEEP MODE, as well as emoticons, and to indicate when and what is trying to calculate something (like "most probable deity to pray to"). Games: Games like Tetris and Solitaire can be played in one's screen. The games do not to be visible to other people when a Drone is playing, and can the Drones can show their regular eyes while playing. Swirl shape replacing both eyes: This occurs when a drone feels dizzy, or is disoriented from a strong impact. Images: Drones can also display images on their visor, as seen with Cyn displaying stock pictures of puppies and dogs, as well as uncropped pngs of emojis. Nothing: If a drone's visor displays nothing, not even their eyes, it means that either the said drone is dead, or just has their eyes closed. Crosshair icon: Used to focus on a specific target, usually for aiming. Prior Hazard: Accompanied with a warning sign in one eye. It serves as a warning message if a drone has been previously injured with a specific item. It also important to know that Worker Drones have their own visor display through as seen through four drones: Uzi, Doll, Teacher, and Kelsey Day. These displays often shows a task manager along with a Worker Drone ID number, error messages, and designation abbreviations, but they can also display a music player and games as seen with Uzi, Yeva, and Teacher. Worker Drone Variants: Zombie Drones: In the case of any Worker Drone that has been rebooted, either by a human or on its own, runs the risk of becoming what is referred to by the company as a Zombie Drone as shown in a JCJenson VHS training tape discovered by Serial Designation N in "Cabin Fever" and shown in "Home". The video warns against the act of improperly disposing of a Worker Drone marked for disassembly due to the possibility that a ~0.01% of Drones may self-reboot. Of those drones, some may reboot without changes (70.3%), carry 'terminal lockout' (29%), or revive with 'potentially hazardous mutations' (0.7%), which can lead to human fatalities or injury. High federal fines may be incurred on the handler's behalf. Serial Designation N, V, and J were Worker Drones that rebooted normally (as they had armbands indicating that they were marked for disassembly and were found by Tessa in a landfill), whereas Cyn was a Worker Drone that rebooted by herself with dangerous mutations, seemingly revived by the Absolute Solver, resulting in her becoming a full-fledged Zombie Drone. Solver Host Ability/Cyn Ability: Telekinesis Demonstrated with, the Solver can be used to interact with matter without making physical contact. This includes translating objects in any direction or rotating objects around a point. The Solver can exert a large amount of force this way, enough to crumple a thick metal door almost instantly. A Solver host can become proficient enough that they does not need to be pointing their hand and glyph at the affected item or in its general direction to control and manipulate it or use it precisely.
