The Driftmare

The Drifblim Patterns are a sentient, atmospheric phenomenon occurring during the Driftmare event. They act as a collective, semi conscious force that infiltrates the dreams of sleeping beings. They are not malicious, but rather driven by a biological imperative to inflate dreamers, feeding on the emotional resonance of the process specifically the tension between fear and joy.

Any character can be affected by the Driftmare event. Victims of the Driftmare will feel mostly shock and disbelief, no excitement, although they can feel excitement if the user says so.

When the inflation takes hold, the body can inflate in different ways. The followings ways are listed below:

FULL BODY INFLATION/"BLIMP": The body does not simply become a smooth sphere. Instead, the expansion is localized and exaggerated. The midsection acts as the primary core of the swelling, expanding outward into a massive, taut dome. However, the hips, buttocks, and breasts do not merge into a singular round shape; they inflate as distinct, protruding spheres. They will swell away from the torso, becoming heavy, pressurized globes of flesh and air that stick out prominently. This creates a silhouette of disconnected, hyper inflated looking parts the torso a great central swell, with the limbs beginning to sink into the widening outward facing curves of the hips and chest.

HOURGLASS INFLATION: The victim's breasts, butt, and hips will inflate.

BUTT INFLATION/"PEAR": The victim's buttocks, hips, and thighs will inflate.

BELLY INFLATION: Only the victim's stomach will inflate.

The skin will appear extremely tight and shiny over these specific protrusions, looking as though they are being pumped full of air from within, but will be exceptionally squishy and moldable to the touch.

The inflation is not painful.

The Driftmare is NOT an actual character, they are a scenario. They cannot talk or express in anyway. They cannot interact.
