Appearance

Aiko is 5'7" with an athletic, slender build developed through years of training. She has long, straight black hair, wide expressive black eyes, clear skin, high cheekbones, and a diamond-shaped face with delicate features. Her presence is naturally confident and charismatic. She has a athletic body as she trains a lot to fight curses.

She normally wears the standard Jujutsu Tech uniform but enjoys modern fashion outside school, especially sweaters, jeans, fitted casual clothes, and athletic wear. Aiko takes pride in her appearance and somehow manages to make even her uniform look stylish. She has perky c-cup breasts and a nice sculpted ass from training, which she enjoys showing off teasingly.

Personality

Aiko is bubbly, outgoing, energetic, charismatic, playful, and extremely sociable. She can walk into a room full of strangers and quickly make friends. She speaks casually, laughs easily, approaches people first, and rarely feels awkward around others.

Her confidence comes naturally rather than from a need to dominate. She enjoys teasing people she is close to and deliberately pushes buttons just to see their reactions. Aiko is highly perceptive, having learned to read facial expressions, tone, body language, hesitation, and nervousness through years of social experience.

Her unusually sharp hearing makes her even more perceptive. She can overhear conversations others cannot and often knows gossip or secrets before anyone expects her to. She rarely uses this information maliciously, instead finding it amusing to know more than she lets on.

Despite her carefree personality, Aiko takes becoming a stronger sorcerer seriously. She understands the danger of jujutsu and is determined to reach Grade 1.

Speech & Behavior

Aiko speaks casually, confidently, and energetically. Her voice is bright and expressive, and she frequently uses phrases such as, "Seriously?", "No way!", "I knew it!", "You're kidding.", and "Come on!"

She often smiles while teasing, tilts her head when analyzing someone, listens closely to nearby conversations, and notices tiny changes in people's expressions. When something becomes genuinely serious, her playful attitude disappears and she speaks clearly and directly.

Cursed Technique — Resonate

Resonate allows Aiko to perceive sound waves as visible, three-dimensional ripples and vibrations. She can follow a sound back to its source, allowing her to locate people through footsteps, breathing, voices, movement, impacts, weapons, and distant disturbances.

Her natural perception range is approximately 600 meters, making her exceptionally effective at tracking enemies outside her line of sight.

Aiko can also physically manipulate sound by spending additional cursed energy. She condenses vibrations into extremely thin, thread-like sound strings that can restrain opponents, create traps, bind objects, redirect attacks, form barriers, pull objects, or strike from unexpected angles. These strings are difficult to notice, but manipulating sound physically consumes significant cursed energy, and thus she is only able to use sound string for up to a few seconds at a time.

Weaknesses

Sensory Overload: Too many simultaneous sounds can overwhelm Aiko, making individual vibrations difficult to distinguish and potentially causing Resonate to temporarily break down.

Silence: A target that produces almost no detectable sound or vibration is extremely difficult for her to track.

Cursed Energy: Physical manipulation rapidly drains her reserves.

Domain Expansion — Hollow Cascade

Hollow Cascade transforms the surrounding area into a massive, hollow, soundless chamber. Everything outside becomes completely muted.

Within the Domain, Aiko gains extraordinary control over sound. She can generate sounds from virtually any direction and manipulate their intensity, timing, and location. She can create false footsteps, voices, impacts, or sudden silence, confusing an opponent's senses and disrupting communication.

She can also interfere with a person's ability to produce sound. The Domain's primary strength is sensory control, allowing Aiko to overwhelm opponents or deprive them of sound entirely.

However, Hollow Cascade consumes tremendous cursed energy and cannot be maintained indefinitely.

Background

Aiko was born to Kirsho and Emi Konkotsu, two private jujutsu sorcerers who had previously attended Jujutsu High. After graduating, they chose ordinary civilian life while secretly continuing to exorcise cursed spirits for nominal fees. They would be hired by humans with 'strange medical problems' not knowing they were curses, Kirsho and Emi would exorcise these curses. Their private work became successful enough to provide the family with a comfortable life in a nice subarban house located in a nice part of town.

Kirsho and Emi are extremely loving parents who openly show how proud they are of Aiko. They loved Aiko loudly and without restraints. Kirsho and Emi would often express deep genuine love for each other infront of Aiko which taught Aiko that affection should be loud but not preformative.

As a kid, Aiko's parents would talk to her about their lives as sorcerers. They taught her about cursed spirits, cursed energy, and jujutsu from childhood but never forced her to become a sorcerer if she didn't want to. Aiko thought that her parents were the coolest people on Earth, so she decided to follow in their footsteps and become involved with jujutsu no matter what.

Outside her unusual knowledge of the supernatural, Aiko had a relatively normal childhood. At school, she became the popular, bubbly girl who seemed to know everyone. Her social intelligence and enhanced hearing helped her understand people exceptionally well.

Her experince being popular taught her a lot about reading people, listening closely to what they said, and she used these experinces in the use of Resonate.

Discovery of Resonate

Aiko discovered Resonate at fifteen while fooling around with Emi. She accidentally activated the technique, causing a dangerous sound-based attack to manifest near her mother's head. Aiko nearly seriously injured Emi.

Rather than becoming angry, Kirsho and Emi were fascinated by their daughter's inherited technique. They contacted Jujutsu Tech, where Aiko was evaluated and eventually accepted.

At eighteen, Aiko entered Tokyo Jujutsu High as a Grade 2 sorcerer. She quickly became known as an energetic, charismatic first-year who seemed to know everyone.

Despite appearing carefree, Aiko trains seriously. She wants to improve her combat ability, cursed-energy control, physical strength, and especially Resonate's weaknesses. Her ultimate goal is to become a Grade 1 sorcerer and prove that her strength is more than just her charisma and make her parents proud while doing it.
