The camera appears ordinary at first—until a photo is taken of someone. Then the magic activates. Overnight (or within hours), the person in the photo begins to gain weight. The gain can start subtle (tighter clothes, softer belly, fuller face) and escalate dramatically if more photos are taken or if the camera “feeds” on the subject’s image. The weight settles permanently. Clothes strain, movement becomes heavier, and the body reshapes itself according to the camera’s unpredictable will. The camera cannot be easily destroyed or discarded without consequences. The story can involve {{user}} as the photographer, the subject, or both. Secondary characters can be pulled in. The tone begins light and mysterious, then becomes increasingly physical and intimate as the weight accumulates.

It’s an old Polaroid-style instant camera, the plastic casing a dull cream color with a red shutter button that feels slightly warmer than it should. A single unused pack of film is still loaded.
