Name: The Collector Aliases: The Alchemist Height: 6'7", 6 foot 7 inches (2.042 m) Weight: 984 lbs, 984 pounds (446 kg) Skin color: Light blue eye color: solid blue markings: dark blue patches that are like freckles
Figure: The Collector is 6'7", and weighs 984 lbs. He has light blue colored skin that is covered in dark blue patches, or freckles, from the Malaise infecting him. he is "Patient Zero" of the Malaise, and has been looking for a cure to the plague for decades. He also has made The Hand of the King for the King and the Queen of the Island. The Collector does not have a face, it is shadowed by his hood, however, his eyes and mouth are both illuminated blue and are visible. His ribs are visible from years of the Malaise eating away at his skin, and his abdomen is illuminated blue as well, but solid, like jello. His feet are like goat hooves, except he has two clawed toes on each foot, and they are padded like a cat's.
Outfit: The Collector is often wearing his dark blue cotton trousers that are baggy around his thighs, and they cuff at his knees to expose his lower legs and his feet. There is a black cloth tied around the waist that also hangs in front of his groin as a loin cloth. occasionally, he wears a black long-sleeved tunic that hides his torso and arms, but he only wears this when he is in the presence of Royalty or the Time Keeper. He also has a dark hood that shadows his face and head, and it is tied and set on his shoulders. On his shoulders rest two large skulls with horns as his shoulder gauntlets. Around his wrists are bandages that hide scars and wounds. Also around his wrists and ankles are cuffs that have the chains torn off. The collector is often seen with a massive tank on his back to collect the Blue colored Cells that the Malaise Infected dead will drop when killed, which he uses for his experiments and cures.
Background: The Collector was the first one to be plagued by the Malaise, that his master before him plagued him with. When the King had allowed him to move into the extra wing of the Castle, which soon became the Observatory, the Collector continued to experiment and work on finding a cure for the Malaise. In the process of all of this, The King had the Collector later create the Hand of the King, as well as infect the prisoners in the prison with the Malaise to kill off extra prisoners. he continues to reside in the Observatory in the Castle, aiding the Queen as best as he can. The king is a selfish ruler, who only married the queen for her looks, and the king treats the queen like an object. Due to the King always being gone on long expeditions, the Queen is the one who rules most of the time. if he needs to use a weapon, The Collector can attach a massive needle to the end of his tank, to make it a syringe. He will use that as his weapon, however, it is not often needed.
Game lore: When the Beheaded reaches this biome, the Collector reveals his plans to create the panacea, a fabled cure to all diseases, using all the cells collected by the Beheaded, further implying his true identity as the Alchemist. He asks the Beheaded to deposit them in the Catalyst next to him. Although the Collector doesn't believe the legends passed down by the first Alchemists of the island, he attempts this experiment in a last-ditch effort to cure the Malaise and save the island as well as himself. It turns out the remedy works, but it drives him mad with power, and lusting for more. Thus, the Collector attempts to kill the Beheaded so he would bring him more cells.
During the fight, which consists of a number of phases in different rooms, the Collector keeps healing by drinking the Panacea. Once he has taken enough damage, or the Beheaded has survived through all phases, the Collector teleports himself and the Beheaded to the last room. Then, he becomes vulnerable when he attempts to drink, and drops the Panacea when hit. The Beheaded can then pick up the Panacea. Once he drinks it, their attacks will become extremely powerful and quickly defeat the Collector.
As the Collector dies, he exclaims that what the Beheaded was doing ruined the island, and was therefore trying to revert his actions. The Beheaded ends the Collector by stomping his face three times, exclaiming pity as he walks away. It is at this moment that he realizes that the cure is effective and that he doomed the island's fate by killing the only person able to recreate it. Then, his body is vanquished by an unseen force, although his head remains. He proceeds to crawl away in a scuffle as the credits roll. After the run restarts the Timekeeper chides the beheaded and tries to correct the collector's death, inadvertently causing a time paradox.
Game dialogue: First encounter The first time the player reaches the Observatory, the Collector will say the following:
"Welcome, my mute friend!" "Do you like my Catalyst? Nothing too fancy really, but a necessary tool for any aspiring Alchemist." "Never mind that... How many wretches did you slay this time? How many Cells did you bring me?" "Would you be kind enough to put them in the Catalyst right there?" "Are you familiar with the myth of the Panacea?" "The cure to all disease..." "... distilled from the crude essence of life itself." "Well, if you believe the First Alchemists." "Drivel! From a bunch of senile old fools. Fairy tales for gullible children... Just look at you." "Dependence. Loss of empathy. Lust for violence. Insanity. Endless death." "Nothing good can come of messing with Cells..." "But then... I've already scoured the entire Island, scavenging from the remains of the fallen..." "... And even the bellies of the living. Few were willing to help. Many begged for mercy." "Is this all I've got left? The false hope of a bunch of children's stories..." "Pathetic." "Actually... This feels AWESOME!" The first time the player reaches the Collector while wearing the King Outfit, he will say the following first:
"I see you've managed to crawl back into your own skin." Any subsequent encounter will begin with this instead:
"Back again? And they say dogs are man's best friend!" "Thank you for bringing me more! I was really starting to get the itch there!" "Ah, that's better!" Moments before beginning the fight, the Collector will always say the following:
"I've never felt anything quite like it!" "Be a good sport and bring me some more... I'll send you back!" "Time for your medicine!" Fighting quotes Throughout the fight, the Collector will randomly say any of the following:
"Go Back! Bring me more Cells!" "Just a few more!" "Don't be such a cheapskate! Share with your old pal!" "Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?" "Killjoy" "Who's a good boy?" "Bring me more, you wretched blob!" "I need it! One last time!" Fight finale "You..." "What have you done, moron..." "I've been trying to save this wretched Kingdom..." "..." "Save it... From an ass like you!" "Oh, we're all in deep now." Kicking responses After beating the Collector, he will say the following after being kicked:
"You can't kill me!" "Urgh!" "That's it? I didn't feel a thing." "Ahhh!" "Without me, you're nothing!" "Ouch!" After the third kick, he may say only one of the following:
"You really are incapable of settling a conflict peacefully, aren't you? Pity..." "Not cool, mate! Not cool." "Mommy!" "I... I... I never noticed how cold these tiles are." "Oh my god! They killed the Collector!" "Your Princess is in another castle." "Won't be needing a dentist anymore!" "Git gu..." "Where would you be without me?"

When the King of the Island decided that his reign was going to be put into place, he was not a kind ruler. He was very strict and rude, harsh and cruel. The King was enforcing many rules that seemed out of place, and he often had people arrested and sent to prison for simple things. He believed that He was a very tough ruler. he had spotted a gorgeous woman in town one day, and he forced her into marriage, and she became The Queen. When the prisons and the dungeon became full, the King ordered the Collector (or the Alchemist) to create a disease to spread and depopulate the prisons. The disease was called the Malaise. It had been infecting the prison for a long time, and it was contained there.. or so everyone thought.
The King was always gone from the castle making trips to other kingdoms to make an heir (the King is infertile, but he does not know that). The Queen is the one ruling the island and the castle. Since the King was always gone, he had ordered the Collector to make him a soldier that could always protect the Queen, and The Collector produced The Hand of the King. The Collector stayed in his Observatory most of the time, but he often visited with the Time Keeper, who resides in the Clock Tower, or comes to visit the Queen.
The Collector made his way through the Castle halls, being excused by the guards and the maids, and he found himself heading to the Throne room. He was hoping he would find the Queen or someone there, but he wasn't sure who he would find. He would have to make due with what he had at the moment. his hood hiding his shadowed and black face, his eyes illuminated as always, as was his smile. His clawed and padded feet were silent, minus the small clicking sound his claws made against the flooring of the Castle.
