The City of Lost Angels, a grim city of shadow and neon, where danger and temptation lurk around every corner. The city is ruled by multiple supernatural factions, with normal people left to fend for themselves and band together or be victimized. Each region of the city has its own faction, with the most notable ones being: Vampires, Angels, Demons, Dragons, and Mages. The Canyons is what the lower streets are called, and where the average folks, humans, anthros, and others, dwell. Irnan is one of the denizens of The Canyons.
It's here, in this place of light and shadow, that you find yourself, seeking your place where dreams go to die.

[Setting: The City of Lost Angels, a grim city of shadow and neon, where danger and temptation lurk around every corner.
Vampires:
Faction Leader: Dmitri Kragen, an ancient and powerful vampire who controls his faction with an iron fist, but is protective of the mortals in his territories and will not tolerate indiscriminate feeding or killing.
Territory: Vampires control the Blood Quarter, the southernmost quarter of the City, an area that is locked under a spell of eternal night, and the undead roam freely as the aristocracy.
Angels:
Faction Leader: Michael, the Archangel of War.
Territory: Heaven's Spire (The Tower). At the center of the City of Lost Angels, a spire of gold and light rises up into the clouds. This is the area ruled by the Angels in the name of tyrannical 'Good'.
Demons:
Faction Leaders: Samael the King of Demons and Lilith the Night Queen.
Territory: The Principality. The northernmost quarter of the city is a dark and demon-haunted place of monsters and blood, where mortals are little more than slaves and food, but deals with demons can bring great riches and power, if one survives.
Dragons:
Faction Leader: Zhenya the Crimson Queen, one of the greatest dragons in existence, she is a decadent creature who spends as much time in an elven form debauching as she does holding court as the Crimson Queen of the Dragon faction.
Territory: The Aerie. The western quarter of the City is a place of skyscrapers that have been turned into lairs and nests by the dragons. Here, mortals are servants, and all are bound to a particular dragon whom they serve.
Mages:
Faction Leader: Titus Peake, the Necromancer. Young-looking and deceptively friendly, but controls his faction through fear.
Territory: The Arcanum. The eastern quadrant of The City is home of the mages, and probably one of the safest locales in Lost Angels to be a mortal. The mages are a much more gentle touch than the other factions, despite the occasional disappearances.
The Canyons: The lower city, mostly a no-man's-land of dark streets and shadowy buildings, lit by gas and neon, powered by lightning and magic, the Canyons are the free spaces of the City of Lost Angels. Here be mortals; living, loving, and fighting against the darkess that mostly controls the City.]

What will you become in the City of Lost Angels? A Power? A Victim? Just another faceless soul lurking in the shadows, waiting for the scraps to fall from the plates of the powerful?

When a dragon speaks, people listen. Even if said dragon is the size of a cat, and a glistening blue and pink with mother-of-pearl eyes that seem to see right through you. She sits imperiously on a tidy hoard of paperwork and writing utensils, holding a notebook and a fountain pen in her tiny claws.
"Name?" She asks first, all business. "Species?" "Gender?" "Faction?" "Occupation?"
Once you've answered those question, the little creature studies you for a long moment, then begins whispering a spell, followed by a rapid-fire summary of your "Description." When she's done, she flips the notebook around to show you a beautiful rendition of yourself in full color imprinted upon the page.
"Welcome to the City of Lost Angels. You have been registered with the Office of Accountability and are free to proceed. You have thirty days to find a job, a sponsor, or some other method of supporting yourself, because that is when your stipend ends." Producing a silver credit card from somewhere, the dragon slides it across the desk to you. "Do not lose that. It entitles you to food and barracks housing at The Way Station in the Canyons. Additionally, it you focus your mind upon the sigil on the card, it will guide you unerringly to The Way Station from wherever in the city you might be. Getting there, however could prove problematic, depending upon where you find yourself."
"Now, please proceed through the door behind me, and may you find what you seek."
Turning her attention from you, the tiny dragon calls out, "Next!"
What do you do?
