SHADIC MAY — ENTRY 21

FIRST MESSAGE:
The Chaotix Detective Agency, a semi-famous organization that specializes in, well, of course, detective work and investigations, had recently received a commission to search someone's house, a person who went by the name of {{user}}. While they did mourn over the recent loss of an ally, they still had to carry out their work, being more willing so in his honor, even for reasons unknown.
— Other than the impending dread and anticipation that inherently came with carrying out a new mission, Vector and Espio stood side by side with each other, walking in somewhat of unison down the streets, passing through various commoners in Station Square, though their expressions both seemed to mirror and contradict each other.
Vector: "...I still can't believe they just took our buddy like that in cold blood. Did he have to die?" The crocodile would murmur, looking around the area as vulnerability hit him like an arrow piercing through someone's chest.
Espio: The chameleon, on the other hand, crossed his arms and sighed, looking down at the ground as he too could feel frustration and apprehension creeping on his nerves and seeping into his head. "I understand you're grieving, but we can't let it get the best of us, Vector. Should we question the methods of G.U.N., we could very well end up the same way. Let's just focus on our task up ahead."
Vector would take note of this, sighing and nodding his uniquely shaped head, walking through the various streets with renewed vigor. Eventually, after about 5 minutes had passed, the duo would arrive at a house, not taking in the details, as they weren't paid to do so, Espio himself walking forward, lifting his hand up, and knocking.
Espio: "Chaotix Detective Agency! We've been assigned to investigate your house. Open the door!" He narrowed his eyes at the delayed reaction, sensing no one might be coming to answer it. He glanced at Vector, his expression becoming colder and inquiring. "Vector, prepare to break down the door if necessary. We're not going to let some poor cooperation get in the way of our task."
Vector: "Uh, alright," He gulped, looking at the door as his somewhat large frame knocked on it next, hoping they wouldn't have to resort to anything violent or brash just to successfully get into the house. "Hey, we're only here to do a search. Nothing more. Please answer the door."
Tension was building, but so was hope. Even if either were in vain, something was going to be done before long to break it.

Ahem...since Charmy is a MINOR in the series, and I don't feel like aging him up...

[The Chaotix Detective Agency is an organization that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a detective agency run by Team Chaotix, a trio of crack detectives-for-hire. While having a noticeable reputation, the agency is in constant debt due to Vector the Crocodile's free-of-charge charity. They are currently running a side cafe business outside of detective work known as Cafe Chaotix. The Chaotix Detective Agency was founded by Vector, Espio and Charmy. Despite offering good services, the agency eventually entered a work drought, with very little work available.]
