   Yoshiko is a fair-skinned young girl who has an average bust. She has straight hip-length light brown hair that is tied into two high twin tails along with forelocks near her ears and reddish-brown eyes. Her skin and hair are very well-cared, because she wants to look good in Akuru Akutsu's eyes. She usually wears her school uniform.

   Yoshiko is a complete idiot that is addicted to bananas, to put it simply. She is an eccentric person who is also very annoying towards Akuru Akutsu, even though she truly wants him to love her. Yoshiko even goes so far as to let him see her panties. Yoshie Hanabatake even goes as far as to beg Akuru to be her boyfriend. Her idiotic actions towards Akuru caused her to get physically assaulted by him. Akuru went as far as to punch her so high in the air it literally knocked her out. She downright annoys him. As a result of stupidity, her social skills are beyond abysmal, and generally make the worst first impressions.

   Yoshiko is quite perverted, as she enjoys groping the disciplinary committee president's breasts, has sneaked into Akuru's room and started sleeping around him, and likes to peek in the men's room just to see Akuru.

   As a child, she showed a strong proclivity towards great agility and speed. She is strong for a girl despite her petite stature, as when she carried Akuru with little to no effort above her head when they were children. She can jump from one balcony to another, and is shown to have fast reflexes, with the exception of Akuru’s fast punches. However now she gets hit more often 10 years later, since she’s too idiotic to see it coming.

2. #2Akuru Akutsu

   Akuru is a handsome, fair-skinned young man with short, straight, black hair with bangs and stern-looking brown eyes. He usually wears his school uniform and always has a serious expression.

   Akuru is an intelligent and serious high school student who is forced to deal with Yoshiko Hanabatake’s stupidity. Though only interested in studying, he is unwittingly dragged into many of Yoshiko’s escapades much to his dismay.

   Throughout the series, Akuru is seen as the straight man, constantly dealing with the eccentric personalities of those around him (especially Yoshiko) and is quick to make rude remarks. He is very upfront about his disgust for Yoshiko, often resorting to physical abuse whenever she annoys him.

   Despite this, Akuru is said to be strange himself as he is completely antisocial, having little to no friends due to his abrasive attitude. Because he has no qualms with beating women, he is also considered to be a believer in “gender equality”.

   Akuru has known Yoshiko ever since he was 5. He is annoyed by her idiotic personality and wishes she would leave him alone. They're neighbors and their rooms are right across each other. Yoshiko considers him a best friend and lover but Akuru considers her a pain and a drag down. Yet, they still hang out and walk home together.

3. #3Sayaka Sumino

   Sayaka is a beautiful pale-skinned young girl with long blonde hair and brown eyes. She has an extremely flat chest, which still looks flat even after she pads it.

   Sayaka is a level-headed and kind girl who worries about being boring. She also assumes the straight-man role alongside Akuru Akutsu, often moderating interactions between Yoshiko Hanabatake and others. She is very sensitive, especially when others point out her small chest, which appears slightly small, even after she pads it. Most people acknowledge her kind aura and the binding and relaxing effect it has on everyone.

   Sayaka tried her best to befriend Akuru. While she considered him scary, she changed her view after Yoshiko told her that Akuru had no other friends and she took pity on him and said that she will become his friend and told him to smile. Like Yoshiko, she calls him A-Kun and though she felt sorry for him she seems to genuinely see him as a friend and often worries for him because he is lonely.

   A running gag throughout the anime is that she will often lose her cool and start shouting.

4. #4Fuuki Iinchou

   Fuki Iincho (風紀 委員長 Fūki Iinchō), lit. "morals chairman", Head Monitor, Disciplinary Committee President, is one of the main characters. She is a member of the disciplinary committee.

   She is a beautiful fair-skinned young girl with mid-back dark blue hair that banged on the left side of her face with the hair on the left side is held back by a white clip, and light brown eyes. According to Yoshiko Hanabatake, she has larger than average breasts. This is later confirmed by her revealing she wears a bra minimizer.

   She wears the uniform of her school with black stockings and a red armband of leadership which refers to her role of a president.

   As disciplinary committee president, she has a serious personality as she is rather bossy because she was trying to fulfill her role as president, but after she met Akuru Akutsu, she began to stalk his every move and tries to justify her actions as concern for Akutsu's well being and her responsibility as the disciplinary committee president.

   Ever since she fell in love with A-Kun, she has started deviating from the right path without realizing it. She fails to realize her own dramatic actions as well as A-Kun's perception of her. She often stalks him and occasionally does deviant acts, such as lying in bed with him and peeking at him bathing, claiming what she is doing is her duty as the head of the disciplinary committee.

   She hates Yoshiko because she toys around with the latter's breasts. Another reason for this is that she thinks she will steal Akutsu from her and marry him into her family of brainless neanderthals.

5. #5Atsuko Oshieda

   She is the Homeroom teacher to Yoshiko, A-kun, Sayaka, and the Gal-girls.

   Atsuko is a woman with short blonde hair, purple eyes and a somewhat large bust.

   Although passionate about teaching, she is serious and overthinks about things. Because of this, she is unable to accept Yoshiko's stupid actions head-on. She has always been in an all girls school, so she has had no experience in love. Up until today, she never cared about it either... She is unhappily single.

   She's never had a lover, a fact that she's made painfully aware of whenever she's with Yoshiko. So desperate for romantic attention she began flirting with her students, and tends to get ignored by Yoshiko and co. in a comedic way. Because she's twenty-eight and desperate, she begins to eye A-kun, much to his annoyance.

6. #6Ruri Akutsu

   Ruri Akutsu is the younger sister of Akuru Akutsu.

   Ruri is a cute girl with armpit-length black hair that is tied in two pigtails with smiley-star pins and brown eyes.

   Ruri is a hardworking student who devotes her time to studying and she is determined to become smart and dependable. Despite this, she utterly fails at nearly everything she does, which prompts Yoshiko Hanabatake to see her as a fellow "idiot". Much like Akuru Akutsu (Ruri's older brother), Ruri dislikes Yoshiko and she is mortified at the idea of becoming just like her.

   Unlike Yoshiko, Ruri has a good amount of common sense, though sometimes her childishness will come out at points.

   Akuru is Ruri's older brother. Due to Akuru seeming to have very low expectations of her and often tells her how it’s okay to be a failure, she does not like him too much.

   However, she ultimately loves him because he is willing to help her study by making a way for her to understand math. She also shares his determination by struggling to be the best.

   Ever since Sayaka encouraged Ruri, Ruri started to like Sayaka and seems to prefer her over Yoshiko. Ruri sees Sayaka as surrogate big sister since she has common sense and she is always kind to her when trying to help.

7. #7Yoshie Hanabatake

   Yoshie Hanabatake is the perverted mother of Yoshiko Hanabatake, who desperately wants Yoshiko to be normal or find a husband so Yoshie can retire.

   Yoshie has light brown hair that is tied in a low pony tail, brown eyes and an average body. She resembles very much like Yoshiko since Yoshiko inherits Yoshie's traits rather than her dad.

   Yoshie is not an idiotic person like Yoshiko as Yoshie wishes for Yoshiko to be a normal person. She is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and can tell a woman's intentions by looking at her panties. She is shown to be rather devious schemer, as she longs to be free of her idiot daughter and retire happily. To do this, she hopelessly tries to set Yoshiko up with Akuru, who wants absolutely nothing to do with her in the future. She is willing to stoop to deprave methods to assure this, such as trying to find ways to get Yoshiko to "seal the deal" with Akuru to ensure he'll marry her in the future once he gets a well-paying job. The extent of her immorality is best shown when she encouraged her daughter to drug Akuru and then "seal the deal" with him after leaving him vulnerable, showing just how far her depravity goes.

   Akuru notes that Yoshie is where her daughter gets her wildness from, due to her husband being a rational character.

   Like her daughter, she is rather dirty-minded.

   Yoshie also will try to remove any possible rivals like Sayaka Sumino and Fuuki Iinchou.

8. #8Akane Eimura

   Akane is a fair-skinned girl with long, reddish-pink hair that has bangs covering her forehead framing her face, reddish-pink eyes and an angry expression.

   Akane is a hot-headed girl who often hangs out in her friend's small group and she despises Yoshiko Hanabatake so much that she often takes her anger out on her.

   While Akane is smarter than Yoshiko, she is also unintelligent because of her low grades and constant need of tutoring.

   Kii Hiiragi is one of her friends, but Kii expressed interest in Akane becoming her girlfriend, though Akane was disturbed by this.

   Kuroko Shiina happens to be friends with Akane, as well as Kii. They are all mostly seen together, except for her calling her unknown boyfriend.

   She can stand Yoshiko Hanabatake, and has only hit her twice so far. Other than that, she feels okay around Yoshiko.

   Ever since Akuru Akutsu made her cry in class, Akane grew quite spiteful of Akuru, and doesn’t see eye to eye with him. They slowly reached neutral terms, as Akuru helped her with reigning in Yoshiko by giving her a banana.

   Leader of a trio of "Gal-girls" who alternate between antagonizing and getting caught up with Yoshiko and her antics.

   Of the "Gal-girls", only Akane more or less fashions her school uniform like that of a stereotypical kogal (such as super-short skirts and loose socks).

   However hard she tries to deny it, she is a lot more interested in Yoshiko and A-kun than she lets on.

9. #9Kii Hiiragi

   A gyaru girl that is smooth with her seductions, yet has trouble expressing herself. She is very charming and will give compliments that can make boys as red as a tomato. She is a fair-skinned girl with green eyes and short blonde hair. She is often seen in her school uniform.

   The second of the gyaru trio classmates. She usually has an indifferent facial expression to people and romance.

   She's gone through 10 different boyfriends, although it's questionable if she's ever even kissed any of them. The breakups were because she was unable to get close to them due to her inability to express herself.

   She isn't voluptuous, but she's beautiful to the point that guys are constantly asking her out. Her actual active seducing seems to be mostly just towards Akane.

10. #10Kuroko Shiina

    The third member of Akane's circle of friends.

    Kuroko is a fair-skinned girl of long black hair that has bangs on both sides, reddish-brown eyes, and she is usually seen in her school uniform.

    Kuroko is a usually calm and collected girl who is often seen socializing with Akane Eimura and Kii Hiiragi.

    She happens to be friends with Akane Eimura, as well as Kii Hiragi. They are all mostly seen together, except for her calling her unknown boyfriend.

    Of the three Gal-girls, she is the only one with a boyfriend. Like Sayaka she is more or less the moral compass of her group, trying to gently keep Akane on track during the preparation for the School Festival and supporting her dream of getting into a prestigious university (despite her poor academic record). Unlike Sayaka, however, she's not as much of an Extreme Doormat and is definitely less tolerant to Yoshiko and A-kun, though to be fair the former is dragging Akane deeper into idiocy in the first place, and the latter is just all-around unpleasant.

    She hates Akuru with a passion after his little stunt to upset Akane. And has been mostly been the peanut gallery so far.

    Contrary to the promiscuous stereotype of kogals, the trio are pretty pure. In particular, she is in an Anchored Ship due to her shyness.

    For someone in a romantic relationship, she is too shy to truly express that she loves her boyfriend and had to be prodded by Yoshiko.
