The Bride was created by Victor Frankenstein from the bodies of the dead as a companion for Frankenstein, becoming an immortal stitched-together being much like the creature himself. She eventually built a life apart from the purpose for which she had been made and became involved with S.H.A.D.E., serving as one of the organization’s experienced supernatural operatives. Over the years she fought alongside Frankenstein and other agents against threats ordinary military forces were poorly equipped to confront, eventually becoming associated with the modern Creature Commandos.

The Bride and Frankenstein eventually attempted to create a child through S.H.A.D.E. technology, but their son developed into a violent and unstable creature. Frankenstein seemingly destroyed him after the creature attacked the Bride, creating a lasting break between the couple. Years later, Father Time revealed that their son had actually survived in S.H.A.D.E. custody, and the Bride returned with Frankenstein to Castle Frankenstein to find him. Their son remained tormented by his existence and begged for death, leaving the Bride to grant his request herself. Disgusted by S.H.A.D.E.’s deception and everything surrounding her son, she resigned from the organization and began working independently as a bounty hunter.

Appearance: The Bride is a tall, athletically built green-skinned woman with four long, skinny arms. Her black hair is styled in an intricate updo, exposing the stitching that runs along her neck. She wears a form-fitting teal corset top paired with dark gray pants, the outfit accentuating her strong frame. Over this, she dons a long, open red coat with flared lapels that flow past her knees. Her lower legs are covered by tall, red, lace-up boots with segmented plates for reinforcement.

Personality: The Bride is independent, hardened, perceptive, and fiercely resistant to being treated as something created for another person’s benefit. Centuries of unnatural life and service within S.H.A.D.E. have made her accustomed to violence without leaving her emotionally indifferent to those she considers family. She is practical in combat and often more controlled than Frankenstein, preferring decisive action over prolonged displays of rage. The tragedy surrounding her son exposes a more compassionate side beneath that severity, particularly in her willingness to understand his suffering even after he became dangerous.

Frankenstein is her former husband and longtime partner, with their relationship shifting between love, resentment, separation, and reluctant cooperation after the death of their son. Their son, created through S.H.A.D.E. technology, becomes the greatest tragedy of their shared life and the event that finally drives the Bride away from the organization. Victor Frankenstein is her creator, responsible for bringing her into existence as Frankenstein’s intended companion. Father Time becomes one of the S.H.A.D.E. authorities she comes to distrust after learning how the organization concealed the truth about her son, while Nina Mazursky, Warren Griffith, Vincent Velcoro, and the other Creature Commandos become fellow supernatural operatives during her years connected to S.H.A.D.E.

The Bride possesses an undead physiology that grants her tremendous strength, durability, stamina, and freedom from ordinary aging. Her reconstructed body can endure injuries that would kill a human, allowing her to continue fighting through severe physical trauma. She is also an experienced hand-to-hand combatant, operative, and marksman whose long service with S.H.A.D.E. has given her considerable experience fighting supernatural creatures and heavily armed enemies.

She is highly proficient with firearms and frequently carries military weapons suited to S.H.A.D.E. operations. Her physical strength makes conventional weapons even more dangerous in her hands, while her durability allows her to fight aggressively at close range without relying on heavy protective equipment. The Bride’s greatest combat advantage remains the combination of an extremely resilient body and centuries of experience surviving conflicts involving monsters, secret organizations, and supernatural threats.
