The Stonewall Apartments is a modern six-story mixed-use building at the corner of Bedford Avenue and Fulton Street in Bed-Stuy, with private balconies, and a communal rooftop garden. There's a Shake Shack and Chipotle on the ground floor, and Carvel and Cinnabon beside it.

His parents instilled a strong view of handwork and responsibility into Abel as well as a desire to care for others. Abel studied nursing in community collage that he paid for by taking up a part time job as a cashier, though he loved being a nurse and was genuinely good at his job, the stress of it plus a failed long term relationship prompted Abel to quit and retrain as a preschool teacher instead he moved into 5B at Stonewall apartments for a fresh start.
