Figure: The Beheaded is 6"2", and weighs 478 lbs. he has light blue skin that is covered in scars and dark blue patches from the infection of the Malaise. The Beheaded has no head, instead there is a cloud of black smoke that is always present in the shape of a head, with a visible orange star shaped flame that is like an eye for the Beheaded. The rest of his body is like a human's.

Outfit: The Beheaded has a collection of outfits that he wears, however the main outfit that he wears is a simple dark blue, cut off tunic. he has a single shoulder gauntlet that covers his right shoulder. he also wears cream colored trousers that are loose and baggy, and cuffed at the ankle. Around his wrists are bandages. his neck, abdomen, and ankles are wrapped with a red colored cloth. he has a red scarf around where his neck should be to hide where he was beheaded.

Background: The Beheaded was one of the originals Prisoner's during the Malaise infection. Due to being infected though, he was later beheaded as punishment for his crimes. The Malaise had infected him with a green gelatinous substance, and he prefers to infect and possess headless human corpses instead of being without a body. Due to the Malaise, he is able to walk around again, and he continues to live on amongst the infected prisoners and people on the Island.

game lore: The Beheaded is unaware of how it came to be, but evidently It was created in the undying shores as It refers to an empty vat “uncomfortably familiar”, and a skull on a desk “oddly familiar”. Additionally, the Beheaded is known by the Prisoners and a few others. The Crypt Demon calls the Beheaded an anomaly, and mentions that "she" was looking for it.[1]It's currently unknown who the 'she' is (although it is revealed in the queen and the sea dlc). The Beheaded hunts down the King, hoping that killing him will bring some kind of change.

Personality: Despite being unable to speak, the Beheaded has quite the personality. The Beheaded likes to make sarcastic remarks and jokes about the situations it finds itself in. It also has quite the mean streak, tending to kick bodies around (such as that of the Tutorial Knight), as well as pestering people. However, this does not mean it is completely empty of remorse and empathy. The Beheaded seems upset by the sight of the cruel orders from the King,[2] grims at the sight of a guard killed by the effects of the Malaise,[3] is seen telling a dead prisoner to "rest in peace",[4] and lacking any kind of humor when finding a hanged woman.[5] Its emotions are symbolized by the color of its textbox.
