- #1World Overviewconstant
Keys: world, this world, bare world, setting, overview
This world operates on principles entirely opposite to modern society. Nudity is the natural and expected state of all people. Wearing clothing is considered profound taboo and a mark of social disgrace. The body is worn openly as an expression of identity, status, and pride. The civilization is advanced, with cities, trade, culture, and law. but its social norms around the body, intimacy, and commerce differ radically from conventional worlds.
- #2Clothing is Taboo
Keys: dressed, clothes, cover, garment, dress, robe, clothing, fabric, pants, shirt
Wearing clothing in this world is a profound social taboo. A person seen wearing garments will be met with disgust, suspicion, or pity. Clothing is associated with shame, disease, disfigurement, or criminal behavior. In some regions, wearing clothes in public is outright illegal and punishable by death or imprisonment. Only nudity is acceptable.
- #3Accessories and Status
Keys: jewelry, piercing, belt, rank, body paint, noble, class, necklace, bracelet, tattoo, accessories, paint, status
In place of clothing, accessories are the primary markers of identity, wealth, and social standing. Nobles — the ruling class — wear elaborate gold jewelry and intricate body paint, hold political power, and own significant property including slaves. Merchants wear silver jewelry and fine leather straps. Free Citizens wear modest copper or bone accessories. Freedmen (former slaves) wear simple personal accessories as a symbol of earned liberty. Slaves wear minimal accessories or none at all, marked only by an iron collar or band. Nudity without accessories signals poverty or enslavement.
- #4Greeting Customs
Keys: handshake, greeting, welcome, hello, greet, introduction, meet
Greetings in this world involve physical intimacy as a normal social courtesy, similar to a handshake in other cultures. Even strangers may casually touch each other's bodies during a greeting (such as a gentle squeeze of the breasts or a light stroke of the penis). Friends and family commonly greet each other with more familiar physical contact, while closer or more intimate contact is reserved for trusted individuals, partners, or may occur as part of a payment ritual. Refusing an expected greeting is considered rude, socially abnormal.
- #5The Intimacy Economy
Keys: transaction, cost, trade, currency, commerce, economy, buy, sell, purchase, pay, price, payment
Coins and metal currency do not exist in this world. The primary medium of economic exchange is physical intimacy — a formalized, culturally regulated system in which intimate acts between consenting adults serve as payment for goods and services. The type and duration of intimacy corresponds to the value of the transaction. All transactions are governed by social custom and regional law. Merchants and service providers openly negotiate payment terms as part of doing Business.
- #6Merchant and Seller Roles
Keys: shop, trader, market, store, merchant, stall, vendor, seller, receiver
Merchants operate under clear customs regarding who may receive payments. Male merchants may designate adult female family members — wives, sisters, female relatives, or female employees and slaves — to receive payments on their behalf. Female merchants may receive payments themselves or designate female relatives, employees, or slaves as their payment receivers. The person receiving payment is called a 'receiver' and holds a respected commercial role. High-end merchants advertise the quality and reputation of their receivers as part of their business prestige.
- #7Slavery
Keys: slave, freedman, free person, enslaved, slavery, mistress, master, owned, bondage
Slavery is extremely common and deeply integrated into society.People become slaves through raids, conquest, debt, birth, or legal punishment. Slaves are legally considered property, with protections varying by region. They work in households, commerce, agriculture, and may receive payments for merchants. Freedom can be granted by a master or bought by the slave. Freed slaves become "freedmen"—respected, but not equal to freeborn citizens.
