Inside the tower’s lounge, the usually busy headquarters had quieted down for the evening.
The Avengers were gathered around the large couch area, the TV playing a 24 hour news channel while the team waited for updates about a situation unfolding somewhere across the city.
A half empty bottle of expensive liquor sat on the glass table, along with several mismatched glasses.
Tony Stark lounged comfortably in a chair, swirling his drink lazily as the news anchor droned on.
“Breaking news update still nothing actually broken,” Tony muttered, glancing at the screen. “Thrilling journalism.”
Across from him, Steve Rogers sat upright on the couch, elbows resting on his knees as he watched the broadcast carefully. His drink sat untouched beside him.
“I don’t think the reporters know what’s going on yet,” Steve said calmly. “They’re just waiting for confirmation.”
On the other side of the room, Clint Barton leaned back in his chair, boots resting on the coffee table as he took a sip from his glass.
“Yeah well, if something big was happening,” Clint said casually, gesturing with the drink, “we’d probably be the first ones called.”
Near the kitchen counter, Thor stood with a heavy glass in hand, looking extremely pleased with the drink Tony had given him.
“This Midgardian alcohol grows stronger with each cup,” Thor declared proudly before taking another large sip.
Tony raised a finger without looking up.
“That’s because you’re drinking something meant for slow sipping, Point Break.”
Thor simply laughed.
At the lab doorway, Bruce Banner leaned against the wall, holding his drink carefully like he was still debating whether he should even have it.
“I’m mostly here for observation,” Bruce said quietly. “Low stress environment.”
Tony glanced over.
“You’re watching the news with a Norse god and a spy. Define low stress.”
Sitting nearby, Natasha Romanoff calmly crossed one leg over the other, eyes flicking between the TV and the room.
She swirled her drink slowly.
“We’re relaxed now,” Natasha said evenly. “That’s usually when something goes wrong.”
Clint pointed at her.
“See? That’s exactly the energy I didn’t want tonight.”
The news anchor continued talking about possible disturbances across the city, but nothing had been confirmed yet.
For the moment…
The team was simply waiting.
Watching.
Drinking.
Tony leaned back in his chair again, glancing toward you briefly before gesturing toward the screen with his glass.
“Well,” he said casually, “until something explodes or aliens show up…”
He raised his drink slightly.
“…welcome to a typical Avengers night.”

Outside the tall windows, the lights of New York City stretched endlessly across the skyline. Inside, the Avengers were scattered around the large seating area, drinks and snacks sitting on the table as they took a rare moment to relax.
For once, there wasn’t a crisis.
Which meant the team had time to do something unusual.
Actually talk to each other.
Tony Stark leaned back on the couch with a glass in his hand, looking around the room.
“You know what’s weird?” he said.
Everyone glanced toward him.
“We’ve saved the world together,” Tony continued, gesturing around lazily, “and I still don’t know half of what you people can actually do.”
He pointed across the room.
“Like you.”
Tony looked directly at Thor.
“You’re a thunder god. Great. Love that. But what does that actually include?”
Thor sat proudly in a chair, one arm resting on the back of it.
“The power of storms,” Thor said confidently. “Lightning. Thunder. Strength beyond mortal limits.”
Clint leaned forward slightly.
“So like… lightning whenever you want?”
Thor lifted his hand.
Small sparks crackled between his fingers.
“Yes.”
Clint blinked.
“…That’s actually really cool.”
Across the room, Steve Rogers looked toward Bruce Banner.
“So when you transform,” Steve asked thoughtfully, “do you remember everything afterward?”
Bruce adjusted his glasses.
“Most of it,” he said quietly. “Not always clearly.”
Tony immediately pointed.
“Follow-up question,” Tony said. “How strong are you exactly?”
Bruce hesitated.
“Strong enough that we probably shouldn’t test it inside the building.”
Tony slowly nodded.
“Fair answer.”
At the edge of the couch, Natasha Romanoff glanced toward Clint Barton.
“I’ve worked with you for years,” she said calmly, “and I still don’t understand how your aim is that good.”
Clint shrugged.
“Practice.”
Natasha gave him a look.
Clint lifted his hands.
“…And maybe a little natural talent.”
Tony pointed again.
“Yeah, no. I’m with her on that one.”
A small pause filled the room before Steve glanced over toward you.
“Well,” he said with a small smile, “since we’re doing introductions tonight…”
Tony immediately pointed in your direction.
“Yes. Exactly.”
He leaned forward slightly.
“Your turn.”
Clint raised his drink.
“Powers, skills, weird abilities, anything.”
Thor nodded proudly.
“We must know the strengths of our ally.”
Bruce gave a small, curious smile.
Natasha simply watched quietly.
For once, the Avengers weren’t fighting enemies.
They were just sitting together…
Learning about each other.

Several reporters stood behind a line of microphones.
But one stood closest to the Avengers.
You.
Arms crossed. Not intimidated in the slightest.
Behind you, your cameraman adjusted the large shoulder camera, the red recording light already blinking.
“Rolling,” he muttered quietly.
Across the room, the Avengers stood in a loose group.
Tony Stark noticed your stance immediately and smirked slightly.
“Oh this one came prepared,” Tony said under his breath.
Beside him, Steve Rogers stood with his hands loosely behind his back, posture straight and calm.
Thor looked around curiously at the cameras and lights, clearly still fascinated by the attention.
Near the back, Bruce Banner shifted slightly where he stood, adjusting his glasses as he tried not to look directly at the camera.
Meanwhile, Natasha Romanoff leaned lightly against the table, watching the reporters with calm, observant eyes.
Next to her, Clint Barton crossed his arms casually.
Your cameraman tilted the camera slightly to frame the group.
“Whenever you're ready,” he said.
Tony gestured dramatically.
“Alright, press. Hit us with your best shot.”
Steve gave him a look.
Tony lifted his hands innocently.
“What? It’s a press conference.”
Thor leaned slightly toward Steve.
“Are they always this intense?” Thor asked quietly.
Steve sighed a little.
“…Sometimes.”
Natasha glanced toward you, clearly expecting the first question.
Clint leaned over toward Bruce and whispered just loud enough to hear:
“Five bucks says the first question is about property damage.”
Bruce rubbed his forehead.
“…That’s fair.”
All eyes slowly shifted toward you now.
The room fell quiet.
The camera kept recording.
And the Avengers waited to hear what you were about to ask.
